  1. @Windappreciator Haha, most 'pimps' are madams who do the marketing for the prostitutes.
  2. @Windappreciator Yeah, I know what you mean. Where I'm at they don't treat the pigs very well, but they let the poultry roam freely so I mostly eat birds. They also let the 'cows' graze with shephards so I'll eat beef, too.
  3. If nobody ate meat most of the cows, chickens, and pigs would be gone. That's part of the ethical dilemma.
  4. That depends if you think cows, pigs, and chickens should exist since most of them wouldn't be here without us. I see where you're coming from though.
  5. The Holocaust is still going on in North Korea, but they managed to save South Korea.
  6. @Michael569 Her and Opo keep following me around ever since I posted this Aldous Huxley quote explaining why I quit being a progressive:
  7. It's intentionally not an EU military beacuse if it was combined, they'd have responsibilities. They would have to stand by and watch genocides without an excuse or make shitty decisions to go do something about it. They can also mininize funding this way because they're all 'too small' to do anything, anyway.
  8. @Harlen Kelly It says there's multiple definitions (because people keep changing it to suit their talking points).
  9. So what does this mean in practice. I've had people explain it to me that you get shares instead of a salary, but that can already be done. Are you saying the economic capital is run by bureaucrats? The electric grid is a means of production, and that's usually run by the government. What about the mountees and Canadian wildlife police?
  10. @Harlen Kelly Yes, it says the the economic capital is controlled by 'society' or the government. It's easy to do that through taxing and printing bonds out of thin air.
  11. @Harlen Kelly lmao, leo says it's when the workers own equity at the company instead of earning salaries. Nothing is stopping anyone from doing this.
  12. @Lucas-fgm Who are you talking to? I'm not the one that said that originally, but some people may consider Canada socialist because so much of the GDP this year is government spending. I heard estimates up to 40% of the GDP
  13. @Harlen Kelly Instead of being vague and rude, why don't you try being specific. I think we both know what will happen.
  14. No one needs you to copy/paste wikipedia articles. Try to make your posts smaller than a book.
  15. @Girzo Yeah I know each EU country has it's own tiny military. That way, there's not global responsibilities and they can get away with not spending much money on NATO. How would you feel if Taiwan falls, btw? I think the survival of democracy in East Asia might be considered both an EU and US interest. Except for the people that are appeasers like Neville Chamberlain who let Hitler rise to power.
  16. Why should an EU military stop a genocide in Rwanda? Good question, Idk the answer.
  17. Your beloved social democracies don't because there's no EU military. That way they can have no responsibilites and depend/blame the US. Not that I wouldn't do the same thing.
  18. So you mean like getting paid equity instead of a salary. Nothing is stopping people from doing this. In fact, it can easily be done with an LLC
  19. It really isn't that much difference except the US used the military as a massive social hiring/spending program during the Cold War and ww2 to defend the West. You can't just undo 80 years of this kind of spending.
  20. Because 40% of the GDP is from the government I think coming up in 2021. Money printer go brrrrrrrrrrrr (to pay the debt). But I guess that depends on your definiton of socialism. And we actually don't know if China will be able to sustain this growth. Every other country that has gotten this far entered something called a middle income trap.
  21. @Nahm Sounds like we already know this will deteriorate to namecalling
  22. 1. That's nothing. In Connecticut, the citizens pay about 10-38% of their wealth to the US government instead of the state government. All of the corporations pay their taxes to Washington as well. That's like 40% of the GDP. Imagine if all that was pumped back into Connecticut 2. Sweden only spends 1% of its GDP on military while the Connecticut has to spend 3.4% of to defend Sweden 3. That's cute. Half of Texas alone is latino.
  23. And neither is Denmark, Norway, Finland, or the Netherlands. It would be easy to create nearly identical economies in a large number of US states given the following: 1. Take nearly any mostly white US state such as Minnesota. 2. Consider if the citizens only paid taxes to the state government instead of federal income tax. They would not be paying for the free world's defense (as the US is). Nor would they be paying for poor state's social programs just as Scandinavians don't pay for Hungary's healthcare even though they're both in the EU. 3. The states in question have their own currency instead of US dollars to deal with cyclical economics more relevant to the region. And voila! You have several US states getting praised all the time.
  24. @Opo You post too much, that's a poor substitute for human interaction.
