Matthew85 replied to Inliytened1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
If God limited his totality this could potentially create a situation that he would not awaken from. I'm not sure. But God doesn't seem to do that. God divides itself into levels or layers of consciousness, so only a portion of it is experiencing being limited. -
Matthew85 replied to BlessedLion's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@BlessedLion I'm not sure if Leo's perspective on this has evolved or not. But the idea that others are not conscious and aware doesn't resonate with me or my own direct experiences during very expanded states of consciousness. Yes, at the highest level everything is one. God can subdivide itself endlessly to have infinite perspectives and unique experiences but every aspect of God is conscious and has awareness. If you feel other people, animals and nature are not conscious and have awareness, you need more awakenings. -

Interesting question. Sorta a paradox. If you say yes it implies God is not omnipotent. But on some level he must know he is God, otherwise awakening wouldn't be possible. You would be locked into your limited creation of yourself forever. -

Yes, not through evolution though. -
Matthew85 replied to bazera's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Loveeee In the beginning they were brief lasting only minutes. Later I was able to stay out up to about and hour or so. No I never had an OBE while on psychedelics. -
Matthew85 replied to The Blade's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Loveeee I have had many moments of realizing I am God. But I often fall back into the dream. I use to judge this as negative, but now I see it as part of the expansion of consciousness. -

@bazera Yes your can. This can provide a lot of healing and insight. -
I think all relationships help us grow and expand. Having children will certainly expand the diversely of experiences for you in this life, but you shouldn't feel obligated to have them. Once I had the awareness that I was an eternal being it took the pressure off of having to get everything right in this life. If I don't experience it in this life, I have eternity to have endless different experiences.

Matthew85 replied to OBEler's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@OBEler Do you spend much time in nature? I find that helps calm and ground me a lot. I would also add that diet helps me a lot. When I changed my diet and began eating a lot more plant based, less meat and processed foods, I felt calmer. Do you watch a lot of news and media? Being mindful of what you feed your mind daily can help a lot. -

@Vajra How has it changed your relationship's and experience of intimacy with other people? -
Matthew85 replied to Bruins8000's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There must be another meaning. God doesn't need evolution to produce anything. -
Matthew85 replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Someone here That is the game we are playing. Forgetting to have the experience of discovery. Too often we rely of the perspectives of others over our own direct experience. Instead of adopting others perspectives, strive to discover the truth within yourself. -
@BlessedLion Perhaps reframe your porn addiction. It doesn't have to be a negative thing unless you judge it as negative.

@Loveeee Your posts are never a waste of time. I appreciate them! -
Matthew85 replied to Razard86's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Razard86 So true! There are nuggets of truth everywhere. We just need the discernment and intuition to discern. -
@Vlad_ Perhaps the 5-Meo released some of your inhibitions around sex and intimacy with others.
-
@Someone here Because there are a lot of people who don't use them responsibly and that can cause harm to other people.

@Leo Gura It's easy to say everything is a dream but how many of us have transcended this? I don't fear what comes after death at all, I know what happens, but the journey there can be full of suffering. That I do still have fear about. -
Matthew85 replied to ChrisZoZo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ChrisZoZo That is a great goal Chris. I have found that one of the best things we can do is strive to achieve a focused mind. Most of us don't have that. It's a daily discipline. Mindfulness practices have helped me. -
Matthew85 replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Someone here I don't think that is a negative thing. It's something to look forward to. The learning and discovering. That is the game we are playing. We pretend to forget to have the experience of discovery. I will also add nothing beats direct experience. We tend to seek answers too often from outside of ourselves. Adopting others perspectives. Seek the answers within yourself and validate them through your own direct experience as often as you can. -
Matthew85 replied to bazera's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@bazera I lucid dream as well. In my experience they are very different. Lucid dreams feel like a creation of only my mind. I can change the environment and people, they have dreamlike qualities. I was fully awake during my out of body experiences and wasn't able to change anything, the same as my waking reality on earth. Whether I was in my house or travelling around the earth, it was indistinguishable from my normal waking reality. Eventually when I began traveling to other worlds they were all just as solid and real as life on earth. I could interact with people and the environment but I couldn't change anything. The worlds were just as solid, stable and consistent as our life on earth. My best assumption is lucid dreams are a creation of only your mind versus a consensus reality that is constructed by everyone who inhabits that world. -
Matthew85 replied to bazera's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@bazera While doing different spiritual practices seeking awakening I began having spontaneous out of body experiences. I've had hundreds at this point. It was very alarming at first and I often thought I may have died. It can be quite unsettling to find yourself standing outside your body. Once I became more comfortable with it happening eventually I was able leave my house and travel to many places and other worlds. It ended up being incredibly valuable in expanding my consciousness and answering many questions I had about reality, life, God and consciousness. I would say it is definitely worth pursuing. -
Matthew85 replied to Potential's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura I assume that part of you must remain even in very expanded states since you are able to think, ask questions and contemplate. This shows you still retain interest in some of the same subjects. Can you talk about the difference between your day to day consciousness versus these expanded states, what do you retain and what do you lose? -
Matthew85 replied to Potential's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura Sounds like a fascinating experience. Seems like different finite selves are at different states of consciousness. Would you agree? I have had some success with shifting selves but can't seem to get them to stick. One of the problems is our current environment and life is a constant reminder of our current self. This is why people have a lot more success making changes when you remove them from their current life and routine. Are you still planning on releasing a new episode on the ego? I know that my I Am awareness is always present and is observing through the Matthew personality. But I would like to deepen my understanding of the difference between these two. In your most expanded states do you still feel like you? Or is Leo completely gone and you are just pure awareness observing without any personality at all? -
Matthew85 replied to gettoefl's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Breakingthewall The more I awaken I realize I am in a co creation with myself. It's not about surrendering but aligning with what you want.
