  1. @halfknots You and your father have a real gift for writing. Thank you for sharing this. So beautiful! Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone could have this experience with their parents.
  2. @Theprofessional "I must submit to reality completely" I don't see it this way. You are meant to co create with reality, not submit to it. Many people who adopt this viewpoint are missing out on the tremendous joy of creating with your higher mind or God. If you as God were only interested in asserting your will over everything, why would you create infinite finite unique perspectives? You are in a co creative dance with yourself. It's not about submission, it is about alignment.
  3. @ChrisZoZo This will happen eventually with the natural evolution of consciousness. Consciousness is slowly evolving toward oneness. The benefits are numerous. More unity, love, compassion, understanding and reverence for all cultures and people.
  4. @Nahm I agree it isn't a something. These are the limitations of language, but you get what I am saying.
  5. I would agree with this while we are in a limited finite form. Well said I love this definition. Yes, but again this is man projecting his humanness onto God. Aliens on others planets that have no resemblance at all to humans could say the same thing. To me a more accurate statement would be everything is made in the image of God.
  6. @The0Self True I have had an insatiable curiosity to understand God, consciousness and reality since I was a child. I guess all we can hope to achieve while we are in human form is a slightly more expanded glimpse and understanding. Have you noticed how often people who have very profound deep insights still project a lot of human concepts and attributes onto God? That is one of the inherent challenges of exploring consciousness through the lens of our human mind.
  7. @Terell Kirby Well said!
  8. @Wisebaxter Good point. I have always been extremely open minded, but also skeptical. I was always questioning everything since I was a child. I never blindly excepted ideas or believed things. I needed to validate them for myself. I have had many Holy Shit Matrix moments over the years researching and experimenting with these concepts. I have no doubt anymore that this supposed solid objective world it not at all what it appears to be.
  9. @Wisebaxter You're welcome! It can take some time to uncover and undo the decades of programming we have adopted as true, but with focus and discipline, you can do it. It's very empowering and exciting when you begin to see how powerful you actually are and how we really can shape this waking dream to be what we prefer.
  10. @PurpleTree I have had insights during meditation retreats, but my most profound realizations occurred during solo contemplation and meditation.
  11. @preventingdiabetes This is showing you your current dominant belief right here. Use it to begin adopting what you would prefer instead.
  12. I do this as well. Sometimes the simplest practices are the most profound. I am sorry to hear that Leo. Have you discovered any deeper purpose for your health challenges you want to share? Yes. When I began looking for opportunities to practice mindfulness and appreciation throughout my day, I saw many positive changes. Turn your life into a meditation.
  13. @CuriousityIsKey There is a range of different experiences. One of the most profound was an experience I had in India. It felt like being held in complete unconditional love that you wanted to fall into and stay there forever. Beyond any love I had ever felt before. The presence of this love filled me, I felt connected to and love for everything. There are beings who's energy fields are so powerful, just being in there presence transforms you.
  14. @ChrisZoZo I have benefitted from both. There is something very unique and special about being in the physical presence of enlightened beings though. That would be my first choice. The majority of highly enlightened beings have no interest in being known, so you won't find them online.
  15. @CuriousityIsKey Also, be mindful not to get lost in religious dogma, including Buddhism. What you are seeking transcends all religions.
  16. @CuriousityIsKey With strong commitment and discipline. Spiritual practice, psychedelics, find an awakened mentor. Is it worth it? In my experience, I would say yes. Will I still experience life through a human body POV? It depends how far you go. You don't need to let go of all biases to experience Nirvana.
  17. @CuriousityIsKey The Wheel of Samara is something you are creating. We can experience Nirvana right now, but that requires letting go of all the biases and judgments that distort our perception.
  18. @preventingdiabetes You answered your own question. I would suggest you take a close look at all the belief's and assumptions you are buying into.
  19. @Yoremo I would recommend you look into mindfulness practices. One of the great things about it is you incorporate it throughout your whole day. Cognitive training is different practices and games that help improve focus and cognitive abilities. Also, mix up your meditation practices. Add some mantra or Japa meditations. Experiment with different styles.
  20. @Yoremo If you have been meditating for 7 months without seeing improvement you may need a different technique. What type of meditation do you practice? Sometimes you need to try a few different methods to find the best one for you. Mindfulness practices are very helpful for cultivating focus. I would look into that and also cognitive training.
  21. @Yoremo I would start with getting better control over your mind and thoughts. Your mind currently is like a wild stallion. It needs to be tamed. Do you have any daily spiritual practices?
  22. @PurpleTree Hi PurpleTree. This insight I had many years ago helped me a lot with this. Realize that none of us are perceiving people and reality as it truly is. Everything we observe is instantly filtered through thousands of belief's, judgment's and biases we have built up. Some of us have more layers than others, but we all have them. These layers of belief's, judgment's and biases distort what we are observing. Once you truly get this, you realize most people are not able to see you. They only see their distorted perception of you. If you had recently purchased a beautiful painting, you wouldn't ask your blind friend if they liked it. That would be silly. In a sense, that is what we are doing by seeking validation from others. They can't see you, so in needing or seeking this you will continually be disappointed or upset.
  23. @Wisebaxter Two of the things that helped me the most were cultivating a focused mind and aligning my belief's with my desires. Most of us have very unfocused minds. Our thoughts are running all over the place. You need to learn how to focus your mind and intentions to gain more mastery over shaping your experience of life. Meditation and mindfulness practices help a lot with this. Secondly, your beliefs. Realizing that almost everything you believe is not a universal truth, it is just something you adopted as truth from someone else. Your dominant belief's, assumptions and expectations about yourself, others and the world shape what you call "your life". By doing the work to make sure your belief's and assumptions are aligned with your desires, you begin to gain more mastery over molding and shaping your life experiences.
  24. That is the issue right there.
