  1. You don't have to believe in free will or no free will for that matter. It's a question of duality. And a silly question to begin with, since you will act accordingly to one side of the imaginary coin no matter what side you curently belive in. The crux of "free will", is that it is only free once you pay for it. If you decide to eat junkfood everyday, you either come to the conclution that you made that choice, or that you was forced to do it from lack of free will. No matter what you think it was, you now have to realize that you gained some weight from doing so, and that's part of the cost so to speak. Free will is merely a ghost from the past. And your choice in any matter is done in the present. So there is no point in getting overly invested in what that past decision is labled as. The real freedom is the choice you are aware of right now.
  2. I am well aware of stock photography. And that's not comparable with this AI rendering stuff.
  3. Those who consider auto rendered AI images that are based soley on other artists prior work as their own art and proclaim themselves as a creative genius. Are not more creative than those who are reselling stolen goods and happen to get away with it.
  4. It's the art of laziness and deceit.
  5. I think we can agree to disagree on alot of stuff around this topic. Alot of things can be looking beautiful without being considered art.
  6. Sure. I don't expect you to understand it if you don't.
  7. Of course it dont.. You must think before you get it. Who said you couldn't?
  8. Yep, I'm with you there. It's like typing in a destination into your brand new self-driving tesla, and call yourself a skilled driver. Look look I can turn this corner without touching the steering wheel..
  9. AI generated images is like making a smoothie out of resturant food for the sole purpose to down it faster, why sit down for an hour or two and chew a meal in a resturant when you can drink the same meal in a matter of seconds. A tasty meal in a tastless way.
  10. This is quite a profound quote. It made me think that nobody wants to be a nobody. Everybody wants to be a somebody inorder to stand out from everybody else who inevitably must be bunch of nobody's. Since the nobody's is seen as less than sombody, it stil takes alot of nobody's to bring value to someone who is considered to be a somebody, who's value also are based on how many there are that can be judged as nobody's in their presence. And it's not a stretch to assume that most peoples biggest fear is that of being a nobody.
  11. True. It is always easier to look back, but don't be to hard on yourself for it. Unless you have any active injury, you could look into rehability excercises for shoulders. Those type of excercises focus more getting back the full movement and stability around joints. Maybe go to a proffesional trainer for a good rehab program to follow.
  12. As a former gymrat, I can confirm that shoulders is probably the most likely part that anyone will mess up in someway or other. Form and technique is everything. Don't do excersices that you don't understand fully, ask someone that are experienced before you continue with any excersices, keep learning about the movement. Even something so seemingly simple as benchpress is a common excersices that is known to mess up peoples shoulders since there is a close connection between the two muscle groups.
  13. It's quite a poetic statement, with a splash of humor to it. I think a less poetic way would be to explain it by the fact that knowledge is not static, even when you grasp a concept good enough to say that you now know something about something. To know that we know nothing, is what keeps knowledge a living thing as opposed to a dead persuit. Just as an achor can keep you steady amongst the waves in a sea that is constantly moving, but the anchor is not made to stop the sea itself from moving.
  14. I think karma is a better word if we talk about a kind of self-developed morality that goes beyond the social construct that most are used to.
  15. The difference is the crowd that you yourself end up ressonating with the most. If you don't find stealing to be wrong, you might end up hanging out with other people who think the same thing. And don't act too surprised once they end up stealing from you aswell. That is morality in a nutshell for you.
  16. Anything that feels mentally paralyzing, is considering making decisions between contradictions. If no answer feels more right than the other, then question wheter you need to find a answer to the question to begin with. Is the question a valid question to seek a supposedly right answer within? Two wrong don't make one right.
  17. Dang this is great! Thanks for sharing! Here is a few different ones.. Hard to say how nihalistic they are, but I would like to think they can be percived that way atleast.
  18. I'm not a destiny fan or anything, but he had some great arguments about the covid-vaccine that many anti-vaxers miss or don't understand. So there my liking of Destiny began. But I also heard him say a few times that he is litterally feeding off people with a more "problematic view" of the world. So he is unlikely to speak with really knowledgable people in any field that doesn't contain or evolve around a big portion of drama. I mainly see his talks as entertainment/drama with some good arguments here and there that keeps me captivating for a bit longer. But I think he has taken water over his head this time by flirting with that natzi bs. I'm 16 min into the talk between him and Vegan Gains, and Destinys attempts to obfuscating basic questions and statements is getting embarrassing tbh.
  19. I'd say the foundation in freedom made greatness possible. Alot of cultures that have strong cultural values in general, are also alot more surpressed in expressing themselves in various ways. That can makes it harder if not impossible sometimes to bring about any new changes to be listened to. Unless the ideas are undeniably surperior changes that are already in use and provable by more developed countrys. Things like computers and cellphones are changes that are easier to come across as a net positive.
  20. I just come to think about a thing with this AI copying different styles. When artist have such a niche that the way they create can be called a style and then copied. Then that particular artist is the main source and inspiration for any other work that tries to implement it to a lesser degree than what it is known for. So if you happen to like a certain look from a AI generated image, you may find yourself asking "Wow, what is that style that this image is made from?" And so you will intentionally or untentionally be drawn to the origin of the style to see more work from the actual artist, whos style has heavily influenced the image of an AI render. So this could be a potential net positive for artists, whos styles becomes recognized enough to be known as a style in the firstplace. You may even ask any real artists yourself who they are inspired by, and so they will gladly mention other artists with their unique style. As for AI rendered images, I have a hard time imagining that you can develop a certain style yourself, from having the majority of the work done by rendering images of many styles that becomes less defined. So any style that bleeds through the generated AI images is going to be admired based on that particular style that make the image stand out. And generate a growing curiosity around where that style originate from. So the gained attention from a AI image, would probably lead most people back to the original artist whos style is used in a watered down version to create beautiful images.
  21. We learn through all kinds of experiences, so if your truth today doesent align with your truth in the past. Then that's fine. Any past truth has expired in the presence of the now. Regarding past experiences, they are only as real as you can remember them. Look, you will remember certain things from past experiences, and you will have forgot alot of them aswell. The relevant truth, is the truth you can live from today. So if you happen to remember some past memory that you have good use for in the moment. Then your focus is where you need it to be, and where you want it to be. Notice that we can only refer to the past and not live there, unless we allow our mind to daydream about it in more detail. We allow the so called past to be present, by making a point out of it in this moment.
