You remember your past. So your past is imagined by how you remember it now. If you remember something that happened a long ago, you can now remember that past memory with your curent fresh perspective, as opposed when you first stored it. So the memory has a trigger, and becomes active in your curent state of mind in how you interperet or associate with that memory. So your past is real in relation to how you chose to interact with it in the present moment where you are. -

If an onion has layers, then does the layers have onion? -
Some advice or comments needs to be taken with a bag of salt. Then they could makes sense, kinda.

I've been listening to Eckhart Tolle quite a bit, and he said that it is not about not making any plans. You can follow a plan for the day/week/month etc. But the importance he points to, is to be present in the moment where you are in midst of life. Be it at your job, school, vacation, free time, etc. If your job is a heavy on your mind, it becomes increasingly harder to stay present with what is. But in such busy jobs, he suggest to find a few minutes here and there to become present.. Or simply switch job, if non is possible. -
That is exactly what I felt aswell. There is a sort of aftertaste of AI generated images. One thing I noticed is that any detail in AI images is often depicted by random noise, so you can never really appriciate it's fine details to be fully connected because of this. That sounds like a good take. It will probably be an important stance to take aswell now that AI images is on the rise.
-
Yeah, I felt the need to call it AI-images, as that is what it does in general tbh. I totally agree with your take on art. My guess is that this AI will be a hard beast to tame into precision, since it's function is a balance point between precision and randomness to create something "unique" with it's innherit lack of emotional meaning to it's working process. If the AI start to become too precise to what it is told to depict, then the images will become super generic once the promt is replicated. And if the randomness is too high, it will be hard to get it to depict what you hope for it do depict in general. So we will see, but I think that it takes an actual artist to make those final calls that is needed to make true art, and not this calibration between randomness and precision that AI will have an endless struggle with, since that is a process of two polar opposites that can't be meet.

I would honestly think twice before doing so. Only incorporate any A.I aspect in your work that you feel enhance your own sense of direction/expression. As you mentioned, it will soon be a saturated market, and your portfolio can start to look generic if you buy in early on this AI hype train and mix in too much of it into your own work to fast.

There will be a growing need to be even more consiously aware of not only what you see, but how it came to be. The way forward will be in how we engage with art imo. There will be a more vocalized matter of distinguish art based on it's source and closer ties with the artists presence and personal involvement, for those who are engaged with art in a deeper sense. And there will be a large growing audience of consumer type people that have their base appriciation of what is merely colourful/detailed/texturized variations of objects and characters, who also lack a deeper sense of understanding and interest in origin/meaning/expression/symbolism etc. From my own experience with photography in general, I can recognize beauty of colour in a image, just to mentioning one aspect. But I don't jump the gun and call it art on that merit alone. Instagram is a good example of a highly popular media that I avoid at all cost. And that place has probably an unlimited amount of photos that can be recognized as beautiful, from a mental knee-jerk reactions pov. AI-images will be playing a big part of influencing the vast majority who are less selective or conscious in what they consume or chose to call art. I think overtime, that there will be a noticable reduction in overall quality of any media company who are tempted to cut costs with auto generated images, even after some editing are done. Just as new moives that try to reuse the same kind of script that has been done a million times before, is more often than not recognized as a generic movie often by taking a quick glance at the movieposter alone.

So the title of this thread is, "Should I manipulate others or not?" The title implicit that there might be a problem attached to manipulation as a whole. Otherwise, the title should be "How much should I manipulate others?" If OP already had accepted manipulation as part of the human interactions. If manipulation is considered the right conscious thing to do, even the only choice available. Then how could there be a reasonable question around or about it if that where the case? It would simply be a absurd question. Here is a example of a absurd question based on the premise that you have no choice in the matter, so get ready to be confused as I prove my point. "Should I breath air around others or not?" It's an absurd question since there is no alternative to breathing air as part of being a human or any other animal for that matter. So there is no real choice to consider here. Manipulation on the other hand is a matter of choice. The other part of that choice that I haven't seen mentioned yet in this thread is influence. Just as with manipulation, there is active and indirect ways that people can influence others. If the title of this thread had read "Should I make a influence on others or not?" Then there would be no issue with the activity in and of itself, but rather a question on what exactly it is, that you try to influence others with. So to believe that you have to manipulate others, is at best a limiting belief imo. Or simply a lack of nuance to ones way of thinking.

I mean that there is a big difference between the hours you will be playing depending on wheter you play online mode vs story mode. Both takes place in the open world of the game. Online = unlimited potential hours spent Story mode = 30-60h as a general expectation of time you will spend

I think your honest confusion about wheter the symbolism of snakes is good bad or both, is a good sign that you can and need to explore your line of thinking and motivations further. To call someone a snake, is to make a symbolic statement that you have taken a particular side inorder to make such a call out meaningful. If everyone is considered being a snake, we may aswell scrap the symbolism as it wouldn't allude to anything other than a particular animal for no apparent reason. You are asking big questions here, so the chance that you get one reply that explains it all in one go, is at best slim to none. My advice is to try to break down your question/questions a bit, so you don't need to eat the whole elephant all in one bite. The way you ask this questions, seem to me. To be more about moral concerns, rather than that of a neutral curiosity about how manipulation works in general. The intention to manipulate, is different from someone who have a active interest to manipulate. And both sides will eventually be caught up in some level of manipulation regardless of intent. But intent is what makes the actual difference in why or how manipulation arise in different ways. And that is also what laws in general is built around aswell, the level of intent in relation with a crime.

Lol, it first looked like he was going to explain how bad the game was, but he seemed more disappointed in himself that he liked it. Gta V has a really good storymode. I played it when it first came out in 2013. The online part is not as fun as playing the story imo, even though there is alot to do online. So the big difference with storymode and online mode is that you can put an endless amount of hours in the online aspect, since there is no end to it. While if you play the story, you may be getting between 30-60h of playtime out of this particular game. Story driven games in general, is comparable with watching a movie or movie series. Once you are done with the story, you feel done with the game. Try to stay far away from mobile games in general, as they often are heavily influenced by "gacha mechanics" that can end up costing you alot of money if you are susceptible to gambling in any way.

A dictator has never been needed ever, but they make sure that they have the controll of a country no matter what the majority thinks of them as a self-proclaimed leader. And they can only do so with a weaponized minority that are ready to kill anyone who disagree with them. The leader will tell you that he is exactly that enlightened autocrat that you seek. You just can't disagree with him as or question his decisions and direction, ever. Your idea of the enlightened autocrat will care of the opinion and feelings of the people as long as the opinion and feelings are those of the enlightened autocrat, (aka dictator.)
-
There are plenty of countrys that is run by forceful dictators, and they wouldn't be there unless they where capable of great violence against their own people. So that is a great option for anyone to move to who are not in favour of popularity contests, aka democracy. One leader, one will. No compromising of feelings or opinions.

Would that be a positive or a bad thing to you then? I assume that you use snake in a symbolic way here. So how do you make it make sense so to speak?

@Space Duuude, I love that 'Passive aggression in the workplace'! The angle and composition of this one is what makes it a homerun in what you convey here imo. But even the colours adds a great deal to your message I noticed.

But that's the thing. You speak in absolutes, while at the same time admits that you don't know this/that. When you just a few sentences ago speak the "absolut truth". If you where to take responsibility for your own view as being the truth for you in this moment. Then you would be more honest with how your view is relative to how you feel about it. Because of right now, it contains contradictions in the way you explain yourself. -
I'd call it knowledge of direct experience on the matter. If you face your own anxiety and experiment with what works for you, then you should have a more conscious knowledge on the matter as opposed to someone who are more into escaping their anxity through different means. Any doubts could be seen as potential for further learning and room for nuanced understanding, rather than the opposite of ignorant confidence in a forceful way. It takes one to know one as they say. Good luck to you!

It seems more like you try yo help those who you think are helpers here. If you embrace his take, then why not just admit that you agree with what he says aswell? I reject his statements, while also acknowledge that he are attached to his negativity. So I don't have to try to change his emotions to question his statements. Anyone has the right to feel negative emotions, but if you come to a forum and make a statement, then why should people blindly accept said statement as true just because we all have a spectrum of emotions? -

No existing freedom from what? No existing liberation of who or what? You seem confident that you have the answear to this, so let's hear it. -
If there is a will, there is a way, as you may have heard before. If you want to create something, you might need to first visit a store of some sort. That is one example. If your will is scattered around many ideas, you will end up doing many random things. If you take all your ideas and try to put them or as many of them in one pot. What would the final idea look like? Music/art/acting/ideas/writing may be combined into a movie or a playscript for example. Music/writing could be songwriting. Etc etc. there needs to be A vision of the will. And not many visions at once, inorder to stay on track in a certain direction. If you have many ideas that distract you, write them down to get them out of the way. If one idea poke for your attention amongst many others, then explore the most prevalent and persistant of them all. And just write down other random ideas as they come, so you can put them aside from your main idea for the time being.
