  1. Hey guys. I am really cornered into a box at this moment and I don't know how to escape this mess. Hopefully someone can help me or at least offer their opinion. All my life I have been dealing with completely debilitating anxiety - and I am not exaggerating. I haven't been able to make any friends or connect with people because of this. To keep optimistic I have always neglected looking at my problem as anxiety, to strive to accomplish things. Whenever I bring up the problem people always refer me to see a psychologist. This is my problem. I have no other problems in any other area apart from severe social anxiety. But what do you do when (this is the situation I am in ) when you are 20 years old - Your parents are kicking you out, you cannot make friends, you have no job, all jobs you have been fired from due to your anxiety - so no experience, no one wants to hire you (I have literally applied to hundreds and changed up my resume multiple times), no money to consult medical help you are literally completely debilitated from society. Seriously scared I can go homeless soon here. Thanks
  2. Has anyone applied/used the supplements mentioned in this video after watching it. I'd love to hear a case report of someone who's tried to supplement on all of these or if anyone knows a thread where someone has. I am experimenting with Modafonil and neural feedback brain training and currently take maybe 5 of the supplements he mentioned on his list. I don't have the money at the moment but I am curious if anyone has experiences using the supplements mentioned in this video and what was your experience like? How did it affect your meditation or self actualisation/whatever habits you are doing to develop yourself?
  3. In your recent video you talked that you do neurofeedback brain traning. What do you mean by that? What practice do you do or service that you use? Do you use a specific product? etc. Thanks
  4. Wow that's very empowering. And really good advice. Okay I will do that . & Mmm I contemplated that hard. It kept me up it was funny. I found alot of my anxiety ( which I was creating ) was trying to look famous - I think it was just subconscious thing from watching too much self developmemt on youtube. I'm going to try to be more aware of that and drop that. Aswell as trying to accomplish things with people, causes alot of resistance -that could possibly have something to do with pick up. I will keep questioning and stay open to being wrong or in a blindspot - continue my exploration.

  6. You know. It got me thinking. After I just wasted the past four months from my life, wasted away on the internet. Addicted. That maybe a change is needed. I am writing this to the internet and throwing my thoughts into the void of infinite streaming and data. That I "anonymous person" am going to quit the Internet completely for a year and end all artificial stimulation. I have quit social media for quite some time and trying to establish a good routine of keeping up with my daily monk mode postings. But just coming on for the purpose of blogging, has tempted me to fall back into old ways. So what does this mean? What am I going to do for an entire year? What are the rules? No: Web browsing Surfing the Net Social Media Forms of artificial entertainment - for e.g. games etc.. What are my plans from now into the coming year 2017? Make Films Work side jobs. Do a Meissner course Live as a monk for three months. And the rest I will figure as I go. Obviously I will need to use my email for work. But given that I am 20 now, I don't really have that many bombarding obligations or spams. The only emails I get will be from work The aim of this is to truly come to terms with myself and reverse the process of my addictive and fearful self. I am signing off on the 25/11/2016. And I will return when I am 21. On the 3rd of December 2017. Goodbye.
  7. Well I did it and it wierdly led to me finding what I love to do - which is alot but mainly being creative and film making. I found quitting it impractical and impeding my ability to communicate with others but now my view to stimulation is different. I basically only use technology for my purpose and constantly keep being aware when technology is using me and snap out of it. One thing I did notice was that the amount of CONNECTION and how fast it evolves is ridiculous. Actually scary. 1. We are so desentisized to things like facebook etc. But 2. We all becoming more and more connected so rapidly and this networking system is just becoming so advanced so quickly. When you take a break you will realise this and it will kinda scare you a little bit. ( my experience.) Looked at what you said and very interesting perspective I will field test that thoroughly and come back to you.
  8. I was talked to a homeless man today and he gave me a wonderful piece of advice I don't know if ill ever forget. We were in the city around all these buildings and he noticed that I was really fidgety and wanted to go. I told him that "I was afraid of heights and that is why I am nervous and anxious. Looking at all these buildings makes me terrified." He turned to me and asked me a simple question. "How long do you expect to live?" I had never thought about the topic. I didn't know how to answer it. So in reaction I guess "50 years longer". "So in 50 years would you walk up to the top of that building and jump off?" Stumped by the irony of what I just said and certain in my response I replied "Noope. No way." He explained. "See I find that people who are afraid of heights, in your case for example, are not afraid of heights. They are afraid of death. And to be constantly expectant and unsure about the certainty of death I could only imagine would be a living hell. Death is a part of life, not the end. It's going to happen and it has to happen." On the way home, I contemplated my fear of death like never before and I even started to cry when I surrendered to some of my fears. Some moments in the midsts of the realisations I had were truly liberating. Just an experience Id thought I'd share. thanks yall
  9. Should one use it? Could someone become enlightened from it? Thoughts?
  10. What really conquered my fears was going a to a vipassana meditation retreat. There you learn how to REALLY understand what your fears and emotions are on all different levels.
  11. Yo dawgs here are a list of reasons you should be taking cold showers. Increases Alertness. ... Refines Hair and Skin. ... Improves Immunity and Circulation. ... Stimulates Weight Loss. ... Speeds Up Muscle Soreness and Recovery. ... Eases Stress. ... Relieves Depression. Take a hot/warm shower each day for aslong as you like and follow it up with 30 seconds of a cold one each day. Progress for longer periods of time and you will get better and better (your veins will become more flexible to the change in temperatures ). Definitely a key habit to self actualisation. Trust me if your not onto this you will see a huge increase in productivity with this simple habit. Paeeeece.
  12. How do ya'll vary your workouts to make it fun, and not feel like a chore at times.
  13. I was contemplating in the shower and I started thinking how we, people, are always constantly chasing change. And I took a step back from that and thought to myself... But what is change? Going deeper into this contemplation I realised change DOES not exist. But it does. It is an idea, a fiction that we apply to something through contrast or when pertaining to an individual through hindsight. Think about it.. You cannot ever experience change, like you cannot see evolution. However everything still continues to evolve regardless. I guess where I am heading at this is, in this contemplation I realised the irony and delusion of chasing change. It is embedded in the fallacy of believing we can ever see change. In actuality, what actually occurs is a process by which we exert ourselves towards, and through persistence and the right circumstances forcing us to adapt do we begin to mold to better deal with those circumstances. However, we will never directly control or experience our adaptations. All we really can control is our efforts. Kinda like a boat heading down a river that splits off into two, are you going to use your paddle to push yourself to the left side or the right? The pull is inevitable. Likewise I feel like we make these choices in our own life when we're faced with decisions throughout our day to day habits. Do we want to move to growth or comfort? Adaptation is inevitable..
  14. Leo, if you read this, you talked about spiral dynamics. Where did you get your information about it. Did you read a book? or ? id love to get to the source and read about it for myself it seems really interesting! Same thing with maslows heiarchy of needs, where did you get your info haha Cheers good work for the video
  15. Where do you get all your information from spiral dynamics and maslows heirachy of needs? is there a book the founders of those ideas published? Where did you get your info
  16. If your looking to develop your communication skills do sales within a charity. It literally is talking to people on steroids. You'll come out it a completely different person.
  17. I've established a pretty good set of morning rituals that I apply for each day and I thought I would share it as it might give people insights because we're all about self actualising and all though I feel like 20% is knowledge the important 80% is the practices and habits you have through out your day. Those as well as increasingly jumping out of your comfort zone, going through the emotional labour is what's gonna beast you. Sleep 8 pm Wake up 4 am Gratitude journal * Drink water 4:00 - 5:00 am Meditate 1 hour 5:00 - 5:30 am Sentence Completions ( 6 pillars of self esteem- by Nathanial Brandan) 5:30 - 6:00 Wim hof Breathing Method *continue to stay hydrated throughout the day* 6:00- 6:20 am Cold Showers 6:20 - 6:30 am Push up affirmations 6:30 - 7:00 am Breakfast > 3 eggs, tomato, mushroom, avocado, oatmeal, chia seeds, milk *eat a handful of nuts throughout the day* > bowl of berries; strawberry, banana, blue berry w/whipped cream 7:00 - 7:30 Clean House > clothes, dishes, floors, rooms, toilets, outside 7:30 - 8:00 Gym > Basketball > post workout shake: pea protein 8:30 - 8:45 am Feed dogs 8:45 - 9:30 am Read And then from then on its pretty much whatever I want/need to do. I normally just follow off a todo list which I set at the end of the nights, which are also prioritized into which I need to get done first. On top of that I find that getting the biggest things out of the way first is crucial as fuck. The longer you procrastinate something the worse it is. Suffer the initial emotional labour of doing the action and then your emotions and energy will follow. Then in the night. Meditate another hour Write the todo list for the next day Spend 5 minutes visualising what you are going to do and nap time Write down your morning rituals as well so others can see. And we can all learn from each other
  18. @Leo Gura Very good point, couldn't have said it better myself !
  19. @Beam that's very interesting. Have you dealt with this in your experience?
  20. @Samuel Garcia I'm not saying its the purpose for joining a charity but as a side tangent it's when it's your job to interact with so many people on a daily basis it forces you to become an expert in communication. Go for what excite you man, you are your own person
  21. @Bubba66 Which ever inspires you ! Look into charities, see what they're about, if one resonates with you go for that one. Or just take a shot in the dark and go for any
  22. Yo diggidy dawgs. I'm going to make a slight guess that 99% of males watch porn and with high-speed internet and the increased variety and access to kids of all ages people are having more and more access to porn. AND it feel cool but what are the effects it has on the brain? If you can't be bothered to read; check this video out: Its SOOO insightful and interesting and a fun watch. BUT beware it will reveal a lot about porn use and its effects. Don't watch if you don't want to be shocked. But if your a fearless mother-$% then go for it. The Great porn experiment Tedx For those of you who DO want to read ill cut it short. Why the hell would you want to give up porn? Well this is just my summary of the matter and I wish Leo would do a video of this he could probably destroy this subject. But quitting porn is a must if you want to self-actualise to your fullest potential somewhere down the line. For some its a first priority. Porn is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Did you know that besides UFOs, porn is the most googled topic on the internet? But why such the fascination. Well since the introduction of high-speed internet there has been a huge increase in the number of porn use. Men are starting to look at porn at much younger age and for some it has become a serious addiction. Plus now that virtual reality porn is an up and coming market y'all better fucking prepare yo dicks because we are entering a new age. So where I am I heading with this? How is porn a problem? Have you ever tried no fap febuary? I know when I was in high school not too long ago me and the boys use to joke around all the time about trying to quit fapping for a whole month. It was notoriously known as a challenge and a half and going to an all boys high school I had a lot of experience watching people crash and burn. I never met one guy who actually completed the challenge. And most guys would defend their porn use, deny its a problem and okay... its not life and death but fuck it is melting your brain away and you don't even notice. If you had to make it relatable, porn use has been defined as the new age tobacco. Why is porn use so bad? Porn is addictive. Straight, front and centre period. The way porn works is that your primitive brain at a certain age begins to develop urges to root/fuck/bang/makelove/makesomecoco whatever your want to call it, but to cut it short you start to get horny. Your brain starts to look for solutions and then you fall onto porn. You start looking at porn and before you know it your sitting at home 2 hours a day running home from school to chuck one out. Graphic I know but hold on. You start looking at porn and your brain is so excited. You hit the jackpot. Your brain doesn't know its looking at a screen it thinks its jumped on the fun bus. And here is where the problem lies. Over time you become accustomed to it, it looses that excitement and you start looking for stronger and more dirtier versions of porn. You might be able to relate if you've ever felt weird or guilty after busting a load. Not to mention the constant novelty. Since every time you look at porn you are destroying dopamine receptors (the receptors responsible for reward chemicals, feelings of accomplishment) in the brain from the overstimulus of porn you constantly need stronger and newer versions to stimulate your brain again. So that kid who google searched boobies is now looking at lesbian, milf and other categories to satisfy his cravings. And it can get worse then that. It all seems like fun. However behind the scenes this is slowly desensitising your brain to women, your constantly looking at women been objectified for the purpose of pleasure and your brain begins to associate that image with pleasure. Tell me, guy or girl, fantasize a kinky scenario. Tell me if it minds you of porn. Or do you picture the emotional build up, the conversations you had. Essentially these temptations and pleasures are unrealistic and give you a terrible perception. You start looking for stronger and stronger versions of porn and because your dopamine receptors responsible for the reward system are constantly being overstimulated you find it harder and harder to be motivated through out life. You become accustomed to instant gratification and unrealistic representations of attraction. On top of that porn causes anxiety, depression, brain fog and puts you at a great disadvantage to sticking to long-term goals. LUCKILY. If you quit porn use you can reverse these processes thank god. However its an addiction so from there I will refer you to the video I linked plus a couple of websites and support groups that will be able to help. http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/ > includes a load of studies if that's what your looking for https://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/ > the underground community revealing the mysterious benefits of quitting porn https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php > no fap website
  23. @philosogi Love can drive someone to do many things; e.g die for someone, feel compassion for others and everything, feel connected etc. etc. all these things must be beyond the brain and body since its pre-occupation is not of survival or reproduction but for no reason at all. It is self-less. Perhaps love is beyond our chemical soup in this instance then, if its motives lie beyond it.. I have no clue I'm just making this shit up but hey who knows
  24. @ChimpBrain Woa yeah scientology is crazy haha I just watched it. Very explanatoy
