  1. Bro i haven't had sex in 17 years I'm quite happy (I'm 17)
  2. woah this is cool, the guys with good results, or like, mostly 0 results, have you always been like this or is it a result of maturity or personal development work? I thought I was mentally well or something Hypomaniac Your test scores suggest that your personality style entails: A high energy level and buoyant manner whereby you drive yourself into an overly animated, over-expressive, scattered, and manic state. Being full of optimism and hope, you experience strong positive affects at anything you do and feel confident that you can work for hours on end, without ever giving way to fatigue. While your projects are initially ingenious, chaos tends to ensue when you are left to your own devices, without the guidance of others. Excitable and zealous, you are restlessly active, rash, and easily worked up. Humorous, witty, and cheery, few people would ever recognize that one reason for your high-spirited facade is an unconscious defense that serves to ward off those nagging fears of anxiety and depression that seem to follow you wherever you go.
  3. Hey all, i will keep it short, I am from a third world country, Iraq, I want to study abroad, I have good enough qualifications, I want to study either Aerospace engineering or something related to computer science or tech or Ai, still not settled but I have an idea of what I like as a major (though its different from my LP, but relates). So, where to apply? Qatar, a fellow Arab country that's very rich and much better, is an option my mom is suggesting. I don't like the USA much, so I am thinking maybe Netherlands, UK, Germany, what else? What would you guys recommend? I want to hear opinions and tips
  4. Santatagamana, the author of Kriya yoga exposed and kundalini yoga exposed, has a book on lucid dreaming that is very short and fast to finish, it's called: Lucid Dreaming: The Path of Non-Dual Dream Yoga. Realizing Enlightenment through Lucid Dreaming Here is free download link cuz I am a pirate: (removed link due to copyright infringement)
  5. Guys I have no idea the details of your fight, but it seems obvious that both sides are in the wrong now, both have killed civilians and both are motivated by selfish interest. Originally, I would say that Hamas was justified for acting against Israel, but after what they did, they went too fast and they are just as bad now. Both are running on evil and selfishness, and both civilians are the ones getting in trouble as a result. You can't really blame any side either, power corrupts, and the national identity is too strong, there should be good communication but that isn't gonna happen, let us have a stage yellow outlook on things rather than demonizing any side. And I'm an Arab myself.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/@AnasBukhash this Arabic youtube channel, its pretty big, guy has interviewed Sadhguru, bill gates, most Arabic celebrities, some western, and yeah But I think it is more of a personal life story sort of interview and how you came to be sort of thing. https://www.youtube.com/@Batgap Buddha at the gas pump, a lot of spiritual people have been interviewed here including Shinzen Young, Ken wilber, Culadasa, Daniel Ingram, and many others, nice show. https://www.youtube.com/@timferriss The tim ferris show, i mean, it is cool, it isn't about spirituality, but he interviews people on everything from what I can tell, pretty famous too, author of the 4 hours workweek there is also healthy gamer, he talks with a lot of people. ---- I am just giving stuff, I am sure you will know what's suitable or not. You should also specify, do you want a politics related podcast? self help related? psychedelics related? spirituality related? non duality related? philosophy related?
  7. Take much longer But here's a tip: listen to self help books as audiobooks, because they are extremely repetitive and not worth reading physically in my opinion. Spend the actual reading time on the harder ones.
  8. @Leo Gura i think the value of it is not in that in it gives truths or clues, but rather the way it expands your capability to think and challenges your worldview. Yes the linguistical complexity is unnecessary but it makes you think stuff through, it is a form of contemplation on it's own, aside from making you more nuanced in your vocabulary. Yes most philosophers are clueless about truth because truth lies outside rational thinking, which is what spirituality is for. So in my opinion, academic philosophy for intellectual understanding + contemplation for direct grasping + spirituality for truth = good.
  9. To be honest I don't see anything wrong with it. A religion can be understood from a stage blue perspective and up until the higher stages. They are all different paths to god, you have mystics in all religions and traditions. I grew up from a Muslim background but I left it for spirituality and now I'm finding my way back to mystic form of Islam, I don't like most Muslims because they take it as dogma and don't read in between the lines for the spiritual wisdom. But it is really accelerating my path for me. Christianity can be the same.
  10. oh wtf i just knew that i can study a bachelors in anything, then get phd and masters in a completely unrelated thing like i can study computer science and do masters in physics? damn
  11. Okay I finally finished high school, my grades add up to an average of 92, which is like, bad since I knew I could do much better, but I really never learned how to be disciplined in studying, only now after I finished, I learned how to actually be disciplined in studying, which is way too late, my grade is one of the lowest in my school since I am in a gifted high school where everyone is much better, kinda a blow to self-esteem, and my parents are the stereotypical Asian parents and idk man. So I have 3 options: Get in computer engineering (which includes computer science and programming and other stuff), or cybersecurity, I seem to like those because they are very practical, I love tech, and have good future, and I can see myself doing it every day and having fun (I think) repeat my final year in order to get enough grades to get into medical school, which my parents are pushing me for, I used to not really want it but since I love learning, I thought if I study medicine, I will learn the only thing that can't be self learned, and then I can connect medicine and philosophy, but I am not really sure if it is worth it, I could also study medicine in russia or iran or egypt for very low, everything is free to study in my country though, just requires grades maybe aerospace engineering, or some other obscure major So I don't know man, my life purpose ever since I took life purpose course is to contribute understanding that changes the world, I love non duality, spirituality, western philosophy, physics, history, biology, psychology I just love learning, I want to synthesize everything I learn and be a true polymath, bring real change into the world, I still want to do a college degree as a backup and for practicality, but I don't really know what to do, seeing all my friends going into secure paths like medicine or having their parents proud of them meanwhile my parents are not, this is pretty damaging. What if all my passions and interests are a phase? what if i regret this in the future? what if i can't make it with passions? what if all of this life purpose and passion stuff is a scam? which is why I thought I needed to combine practicality and passion, but still man. Go into computer engineering, back it up with self learning computer science and ai and programming, meanwhile continuing my passions and interests and writing and everything, learn some business and marketing, experiment with various stuff in college but something feels wrong, I still feel like a disappointment, man I hate this culture, and something is seductive about a prestigious degree in medicine with a secure path, would also back up my plan of being a true polymath, I could be like Avicenna
  12. Okay update it is clear, I have two choices now major in physics, self learn computer science and programming, do phd and masters in physics, become stage yellow professor and author, combine physics and philosophy with everything else I am into Major in computer science and AI stuff, continue reading books on stuff I like, which includes physics, so self learning anything else, and yes I am also going to attend a business school either way during summer So either major in something I like (physics) and self study something I also like but not as much and is profitable (CS) Or major in something mainly for profit (CS) and self study what I love (physics) hmm
  13. @Ero what if I like the idea of physics? what if I won't actually like it? (I don't have the option of switching major in my country) hmm as someone who is scientific, what is your stance on spirituality and leo's opinion on science?
  14. @integration journey Yes i live in Iraq
  15. @Ero Perfect answer Does the same apply to physics, since it also teaches math?
  16. @Ero can you elaborate on engineering or computational physics? what is that? and how does mathematics transfer knowledge in your experience? I like the Harvard computer science courses, CS50 stuff. Yeah philosophy I can just do it by reading.
  17. Great answers everyone, thank you @Ero I am from Iraq, studying in the US is not feasible right now for bachelors, but very easy for PHD or other studies. I am currently really contemplating studying physics, and self learning computer science and programming for practicality. My passion is mainly philosophy, but i don't think it is worth studying academically in my opinion, something I can self-learn. I can study physics, link it with philosophy, read outside sources for class material, discuss with professors, that would be a dream, and it gives foundational mathematics for programming, perfect. I like your story, math's seems cool too. @Staples I have done Leo's life purpose course, here is my me sheet, I haven't benefited much from the course to be honest, but probably because I didn't really do the making it real exercises yet, I should actually do them. my parents and culture are very Asian type "doctor" lover people I really like the plan I presented about physics, but I want to make it financially too, I imagine having a son one day and not being able to bring him something he wants, or not being able to travel and live my youth or whatever. Thanks for being understanding man, @Snader yeah I get that, I am not sure if I want medicine, everyone in my peers is also going to either medicine or engineering because they are most competitive, my school is also the best in the country so everyone is really great academically, and I am like one of the few bad ones.
  18. @Shakazulu read kriya exposed, then yoga of consciousness (optional but useful)
  19. @Shakazulu http://library.lol/main/03A57E2FF277C17935B62670E72946D1 All his 5 main books in one The first 3 are what you will need
  20. I have been there, I am over it now. Only thing that worked: cut all contact possible, and start a streak of not checking her social media work on yourself during it i know it hurts a lot and in my case i cried a lot lol, it is so harsh but that's life in the end, I fell in love with god instead (sufi poetry helped me)
  21. Is it the same practices outlined in the LP course (visualization, affirmations, reading your me sheet, replacing bad habits, etc.) or is it something more new? or a strategy to apply the old stuff effectively?
  22. @Leo Gura how would it work in relation to the LP course? Does it build on top of it? Can you use it to actualize LP?
  23. Mainstream Islam would say Allah created you, but in Sufism, ONLY Allah exists, you are a mere manifestation of his existence Analogy: Allah looks in a mirror, you as an individual is the reflection, you certainly contain an essence of Allah, you don't exist without him. That's basically the sufi thought, look up "wahdat al wujud" or "unity of being" In sufism, you devote yourself to Allah until at some point you unite with allah, and continue blissing in love with the divine. So your prayer at your point should be about feeling love and melting in love with Allah, however you define or perceive Allah. Think of it like, Bhakti yoga, you devote yourself to a deity so hard, until you basically reach non dual bhakti.
