  1. @ValiantSalvatore My life situation does not really allow for retreats, I am 16, broke, and in Iraq, but I will definitely do it at some point, that's a vow I already do the last 4, the psychedelics and retreats are not available for me at this point, and I am struggling to reach an hour in one go, I am trying to reach one hour as a strong determination sitting, but I keep failing. at around 45 minutes, the feeling I get is unbelievable, I start shaking and feeling like dying lol. Also can you give me some clear instructions on see hear feel technique? I just note and then try to focus on the sensation? but how do i focus exactly, do i have to take it in? do i just focus hardly on it? for how long do i focus on one sensation? and what do you think of the mind illuminated?
  2. @BipolarGrowth can you recommend some resources? techniques? I think you have the real deal lol @Flowerfaeiry I was expecting some sort of awakening, at least a glimpse, also extreme tranquility, focus, and having a lot of insights. you seem experienced with meditation and other things, what have you tried?

  4. @Snader awesome review, thanks
  5. @Inliytened1 hmm, I will definitely do that, but I will keep it separate from meditation.
  6. @Inliytened1 but isn't that contemplation and self inquiry? I already do contemplation but not daily like meditation, but often, I consider those a different practice.
  7. Bro that is normal talk people can say, and he means it in another way than the things we talk about here. he is saying it as in "oh this matrix, everything they are saying is a lie to keep you weak, you do not understand reality, come take my course"
  8. @Water by the River your English seems native level for me, and I agree English does open up a whole new world. I am not sure about Islam, i don't like it much, even the Sufis. I have personal questions but lets just do it in the messenger thing lol
  9. @Water by the River oh thanks, well, when I was 12, I used to watch YouTube a lot, somehow I got lucky, and accidentally got into English YouTube videos, some on gaming, some on random stuff, some on new age spiritual stuff, i was into it back then, the new agey woo woo spiritual stuff, but i was scared to go deeply into it, because I was brainwashed by Islam, I wasn't certain of it, but I was scared to question it, so I thought I was doing something wrong with consuming spiritual content, so I left them, then after another year, I got deeper with reading Eckhart Tolle's books, I got a glimpse, then got scared and left, then after another year I got deeper again then left, until the year after it, I stumbled upon Leo's old series on enlightenment, which caused me an existential crisis (maybe dark night of the soul?), for 3 months I felt like I did not exist and was scared 24/7 and wanting to cry, which also caused me to stop believing in Islam, and ever since then I have been meditating, reading philosophy and psychology books, eating healthy, keeping commonplace book, sometimes contemplation, etc. but that's another topic, concerning English, I just got used to consuming English media 24/7 since I was 12, and also I made lots of online friends on discord who I speak English with.
  10. @Water by the River I actually thought about that, it is always motivating but my life purpose is less about the process of meditation, and more about delivering understanding and answers that makes people wise and grow, and those will be answers I get from contemplation, the books i am reading, and maybe meditation. The sort of understanding and answers will be on philosophy, practical and existential philosophy I am not sure of the medium in which I want to do it, but probably books, maybe courses, maybe seminars, maybe videos.
  11. @Breakingthewall I am still 16 and I am living in hell (aka iraq), not easy or safe to get stuff here, plus i am aware of the damages they can do to me at my age.
  12. @Water by the River I love the concentrative meditation, maybe if I just develop more one pointedness, everything would fall into place meditation without an object actually sounds great, I have done it on my own as a sort of experiment once, and its effect continued the whole day, the whole day it felt like I was aware of my thoughts as just that, thoughts, I was detached from them I don't know why I didn't continue with it, I think I felt like it was a weird technique I came up with and isn't "real" meditation . the first yoga really reminds me of Daniel Ingram technique. The others are great from what I see, it seems to complicated to understand in a forum post, I will look it up more though. I appreciate your effort into the post, I can see it
  13. @Razard86 You made it difficult for him, now he has to not get attached to being wise
  14. aha, letting go of the judgement of not enjoying itself go, and letting everything else go of course, great answer, will try to incorporate more of this, thank you kind human
  15. @Moksha like, not to achieve something but to enjoy it for its own sake? that sounds great in theory, but how do i actually get myself to enjoy it?
  16. Seems to me you should plan long term, what do you plan to use your degree for? is it necessary for your life purpose? if it is, then go for it
  17. go and be mean to people for fun
