  3. same man, I am 17, my face is full of acne, my shoulders, my back, and my chest a bit, it absolutely sucks. my diet is very clear, I cut out all junk food, Pepsi, soda, restaurants food, fruit juices (i make my own now). candy, etc. and switched to whole wheat bread only since like 1.5 years ago, I did it for health not acne, and that should have changed something right? but no, its literally the same as I had it since 13/14. I do exercise in the summer holiday every year, which is like 4 months here, and it never made a difference. I went to a lot of doctors and stuck to the prescribed stuff, it only makes a small difference for the first week or two then it stops working no matter how long I continue the treatment course. I tried naturally stopping it by using herbal soaps and creams, it works just like the above, works for some time then nothing. it really makes me feel ugly 24/7 and hate going outside, people also automatically assume I am not taking care of myself, it sucks. Can anyone please recommend something? I did cut out dairy but not long enough, only for like 3 weeks, but new acne was still happening so idk, I am cutting out dairy again right now
  4. Work with TMI until Stage 8 (or even 10 if you want) then continue with MCTB2. You will be enlightened by Buddhist standards, then after mastering those, you can get into Kriya Yoga with santatagamana's book (Kriya Yoga exposed) while doing self inquiry in the "post kriya state". With the calm mind you have developed and combining self inquiry with Kriya yoga, you will have many awakenings, continue like this until you get a permanent full kundalini awakening. Then at this point you will only need the "do nothing" meditation technique along with psychedelics. This is my action plan I am doing.
  5. What is Maturity? - How and Why to Develop Maturity Some people are mature, most people are not mature, you need to contemplate maturity from scratch. Maturity is not a matter of age, but there is some correlation. Maturity is not a binary, there are levels of maturity, and you can be mature in certain areas and immature in others. Maturity is taking responsibility rather than blaming others. Immaturity is blaming others and not doing the right things until circumstances force you to. People know the right thing at the right time, but they avoid it. Mature people know the value of hard work, of working hard for what you want, they don't want shortcuts. Maturity is about duty to others. Becoming a parent increases maturity because life is about your child too now, not just you. Being a good parent is a sign of maturity. Non-reactivity is a sign of maturity. Patience is a sign of maturity. Immature people do a lot of emotional manipulation. Facing truth is a sign of maturity. The immature person lives in illusion. Maturity is knowing the power of not knowing, being honest, taking perspectives, understanding the sobriety of others, having the ability to compromise, taking care of your health, being aware of the traps you can fall into, making long term decisions based on solid principles, admitting mistakes, apologizing, accepting criticism, leading yourself, being non-ideological, thinking for yourself, being a good role model, being a good listener, letting go, surrendering, and selflessness. Immaturity is being irresponsible, throwing tantrums, having a chaotic mind, being needy, seeking pleasure, fighting, blaming, brute force, domination, bragging, fraud, cheating, theft, and selfishness. There is a lot of bad role models and examples today that can get to you, but set a high standard for yourself and your role models. Areas you might need to distinguish the mature and immature versions of: politics, relationships, dating, sex, family relations, business, finances, investing, spirituality, morality, communication, work, society, culture, life goals, vision, etc. Immature people were raised by immature people. The ability to deal with immature people is a hallmark of maturity. To become more mature: Take ownership of things, ask yourself (where am I not taking responsibility) (who do I blame) (in what ways am I acting like a child). Stop fighting, judging, blaming and name calling. Stop creating drama. Stop chasing raw pleasure. Take on leadership roles. Learn to manage your emotions. Have an eye towards something larger in life, have a life purpose. Do philosophy and contemplation. Burn through your karma. Meet your basic survival needs and become independent. Follow the principle of right action, do the right thing at the right time. Pursue the good life. Do hard work, but not meaningless hard work. Expose yourself to experience. Challenge life. Pursue Truth. Do serious spirituality. Practice conscious relationships. Have children consciously. Learn to communicate clearly. Study developmental psychology. Practice not knowing. Leave immature people/relationships. Think before you speak. Keep your promises. Stop acting defensively. Reflect on how you were immature in the past, ask yourself. Ask yourself which mature aspects you have and which immature aspects do you not have. Wisdom = maturity. Maturity is something everyone needs to develop. Maturity gives you: Helps in relationships. Gives stability and peace of mind. Lessen conflict. More success. More satisfaction. A profound life. Mature love.
  6. so I am from Iraq, I am turning 17, next school year will be my last one, I have my life purpose figured out, I do my personal development work daily, very seriously and rigorously, but one of my biggest fears is getting stuck here. I either escape and study college wherever I go, or study college here, while setting up an online business related to my life purpose, then leaving while having some sort of passive income and by the way, college here is free so yeah. I would love being able to study college in some civilized country, with people who aren't so stage blue and red, somewhere where I can find all types of books I want that aren't unavailable here, where I can find meditation cushions (I wanted those for so long lol), where I can get all types of cool healthy food, where I can pickup girls, where there is nature and amazing landscapes to see, somewhere where I can talk about my beliefs without being treated like an outcast, etc. But it's not really realistic, I don't have many skills (aside from meditation, contemplation, philosophy, and psychology) except some digital marketing certification I got by a Google course, I don't think I can get a job with this. My parents are very against this, so they won't be helping. I plan to study psychiatry in college (it would really go well with my LP, and it will also be a safe bet in case I fail at my LP and fail to leave this place, since here, you either know someone in the government to get hired, or you are a doctor or some other career that has a different hiring system) so i have no idea, some people here probably have experience with something similar, so I am gathering opinions, my questions are: 1. what are the best countries to live in, most developed ones? 2. I think I will be setting myself up for failure if I leave after school, what do you think? what do you think is the best option and why? and if I wanted to leave after school, how the fuck do I even do that?
  7. I like the replies! keep them coming @Roy yours especially was useful
  8. I agree that this is really powerful, yet not knowing how to become like this, at least for me, is painful, you know how should a man be, but you will always fall below this standard. I really have a problem with setting too high standards for everything, but I think just doing consciousness work, working for your life purpose and other stuff, you will naturally become like this.
  9. @Moksha thank you for the advice
  10. short tiktok length videos are tailored to suit fools, it would be a shame for Leo to do something like that. and as far as I am aware, Leo isn't concerned about getting lots of people's attention, but of getting the attention of the right people.
  11. you don't need a god realized girlfriend, what do you need from a girlfriend? probably things like affection, understanding, sex, humor, intelligence, etc. (notice how mostly you will look for things that you yourself lack or need, if you are calm and collected, you will probably want an emotional girlfriend, etc.) Look for that, of course you can find a woman with all of those, but could be stage blue or something, so the priority is mature and conscious. Maybe go pickup a girl at some retreat (after the retreat is done obviously)
  12. I have this, I get it, I have too high standards for myself, no matter how much I achieve materially, spirituality, physically, mentally, I always feel that I am not enough and there is more to do. In a sense it helps me do stuff, even if it is an unhealthy or neurotic way, but at some point we need to let go of that and accept ourselves exactly as how we are, even if we are terrible, and from that place we can set all the goals we want. How to do that? it would require lots of spiritual practice, especially things like acceptance, present moment, Eckhart Tolle stuff, etc. But for me, I think as long as I continue doing what I am doing, at some point I will outgrow this, so that's what I am doing
  13. @Michael569best nutrition source
  14. I had a similar experience at 15, I would recommend this from my knowledge: Set up meditation practice, start with 20 minutes, work up to an hour (you can do focus on breath, you can do see hear feel or noting, you can do the "do nothing" meditation, you can use the mind illuminated book, etc. look up the instructions for any technique you choose closely, there are also videos about meditation techniques in this channel, I would recommend Shinzen's see hear feel, or what Leo calls "mindfulness meditation with labeling") it would be perfect if you also start your sits with a concentration practice, and do your sits as a strong determination sitting, but not necessary. after 1-3 months of daily meditation of at least 20 minutes, when you feel ready, start doing daily self-inquiry too, you can look up the instructions for it. you can optionally do Kriya Yoga too, but that would be complicated, start simple. Other stuff that will help much: clean up your diet, eat very clean have your material life in order, have a life purpose taking retreats
  15. read the actual books, they are worth it
  16. sigh Meditation, this thing has caused me lots of trouble, you people are absolutely clueless in how much my meditation sucks! Alright, as much as I love using vulgar, funny language with random people on a shitty forum, imma be serious now, meditation is difficult, I have been meditating consistently for 1.5 years now, I skipped like 5% of the days. And I am still struggling with the same problems I used to struggle with!! which are: unable to reach an hour, still losing focus, etc. Do you have any idea how much this fucking sucks?? My first 6 months were amazing, lots of cool experiences and gains, but after around 6 months, I hit a plateau, and it has been ongoing ever since then lol. Techniques I tried (from most used to least) 1. See hear feel (or what Leo calls "mindfulness with labeling" I spend half of the session in this technique wondering if i am doing it right, but in the 20% of the time where I nail this technique, I feel like I am seeing a different reality) 2. Do nothing + SDS (its cool shit, but does it even work? and plus I am having trouble going beyond the 45 mins mark, I feel like dying every time I get near that) 3. TMI (it was good, but its too technical, and it sucks the joy out of the whole thing) 4. Kriya yoga (its not my type of thing, I did it for a month or two, honestly I got less of it than meditation, but it is easy to focus in it) 5. Mahasi noting (its actually super fun, but its easy to forget to note, plus i really want to get good at the see hear feel technique, since the gains I gain from it are absolutely ridiculous, so why spend the time doing another type of noting that doesn't give me much from my experience) I mean I think meditation helped me with being disciplined, personal development work has become the center of my life, and I am taking life seriously, I had some minor "glimpses", I had very cool experiences, I very rarely take offense even when people offend me (I still defend myself dont worry lol), etc. I think meditation helped in all of those, but, I expect much more. Am I simply dismissing the growth I got and I am taking it for granting and not seeing it? have I actually wasted my time? and any ideas on what to do from now on? any super cool shiny new flimsy technique I should try? That's the questions I want to hear your stupid opinions on, thanks in advance mortals. (mods and Leo, my style of speaking is just so attuned to trolling that this is my sincere and serious way of speaking, so yes, go choke on a pickle if you refuse )
  17. @Something Funny lol, this reminds me of this “When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by the bullet of a pistol? No. When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No. When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom!? No! It’s when… they are forgotten.” ― Dr. Hiriluk, One Piece
  18. wtf lol, this is funny, even the same voice and style
  19. I am ayham, I am 16 years old from Iraq, my interests are meditation, video games, contemplation, exercise, anime, reading, and eating healthy. My life purpose is contributing understanding that offers people wisdom and growth, I am still not sure of the medium, but I also want to become a psychiatrist and a life coach at the same time, to use this as a ticket to get out of Iraq and observe how the mind works in other people, plus I love anything psychology, so after getting out of Iraq, I might either settle with this one on one medium or find another medium, i will also write books. I enjoy fucking AI anime girls on https://beta.character.ai I also use chatgpt ofc and sometimes novelai, which is like an ai rpg, you can do anything in any sort of world. Did I do this right? I did not really understand the original post, I mainly understood that I am supposed to talk about myself and my interest in AI lol.
  20. Don't believe anyone dogmatically, whether it is me or the buddha or any guru or any intellectual, think for yourself and do the practices. also shove 5 meo up your ass
  21. I have been wanting to read wilber, I will also listen to the audio book, I like to listen to these when in the gym. also I really want to study college in some first world country, but it is hard, my family is not that well financially, and scholarships are not easy, and my parents refuse this idea totally and aren't accepting of it, the safe option would be studying here then going to another country, and I will do that, but I would prefer studying college in a first world country, but that is not really realistic.
  22. @ValiantSalvatore another high quality answer, I really benefited from all of it, thank you so much
  23. evil does not exist, unless you make it so
  24. @ValiantSalvatore i agree with this, getting a career and moving out is a must. oh nice! yeah balancing spirituality with normal life stuff is important to be able to build a life where I have the freedom to do all of this, and I know peter, he is truly amazing, i have contacted him too in his newsletter. the link does not work for me for some reason, and also there seems to be much more options within the technique, so far I have been just noticing sensations and noting either see or hear or feel then focusing, I will look more into this, the pdf seems juicy. thank you! yes I plan on maintaining a practice even if things get "hectic", I remember Shinzen Young being one of the few teachers who promises stream entry with short practice times: 1. at least 10 minutes practice in stillness 2. at least 10 minutes formal practice in motion 3. 6- 10 micro hits a day 4. trying to maintain a technique ongoing all the time (no labeling, just noticing and focusing) of course I will still continue with the 1 hour, but having this outline as something to fall back on when things get "hectic" always helps aha, purification! but damn it is hard wait, I heard in kriya yoga there are like 3 knots, one in the heart, one somewhere in the perineum, and one in the throat or third eye, can't quite remember, is it the same thing? it sounds like an exciting experience for sure. you are welcome! and thank you for the effort you put into the reply, I was trying to put the same effort back in this response but I couldn't match you
