Are you grossed out watching straight porn, because it features a dick in it? I have an aversion to straight porn. Extreme straight people should only watch lesbian porn in my opinion.

And also that disproportionately men go through most of these cruel circumstances, and they are not rewarded or even recognised by society which is pre occupied with equality.

The dude is being disrespectful to JP. I understand if you initially found it funny, but if you keep laughing while he is crying you are just an asshole. Sad that no one pointed this out under the comments of that video. Everyone is making fun of peterson reasoning why he is crying. It's not something you do. With that said, I don't understand the meaning of what he said. I would highly appreciate an explanation from someone who understood this.

At one point in history fat was perceived as hot. Because food was scare and fat women indicated rich & high status families that had access to sufficient food. You can see sculptures and paintings fetishising fat women from that time period. Not saying thag this can happen again. Probably won't. That's true, but with heart diseases and obesity being the number one reason for deaths, a little hurt to the self esteem is fine as long as she decides to eat clean and works out a little bit. Obesity is a slow killer. Everyone's survival hinges on body fat percentage. Plus I don't think women are so willing to date or marry a fat dude. Even plus size women admitted that they are not attracted to plus size men. Far more men are willing to settle with fat women in my opinion than vice versa. -

@Danioover9000 I mean you know what you are going to see with a show. It's not exceptional content that will be cherished for years It will be big budget, big stars, same old regurgitated scenes, wokesim etc Occasionally they do have good content, that alone isn't worth paying for. -

I think you all have missed the main point. Netflix Content is shit. That's the bottom line. That's the main reason why people are not paying for it. The movies are nothing more than "let's throw monaaaay and get all the best actors and use scenes that's nothing new". It's merely use and throw, but for series and movie. The movies do not have anything worth remembering. There is no creativity in the actual story or writing. Predictable content is boring. And now add some wokesim onto it. They use female characters to represent prominent male figures in history, women beating men in fights, etc.. You may not see the problem with them, but no one is going to pay to watch an inaccurate picture of biology and reality. I can watch any show I want for free if I want, but I still don't because it's a waste of time. -

Yes. But Amazon is also exploiting workers and I am ripping off of their content, because I don't want to contribute to their system of oppression. -

Realistically, people rarely suffer the karma of their foolish governance. The normie masses suffer from foolish policies. The rich & powerful, who often frame foolish policies can simply buy a passport to any place they want. They don't have to suffer through the consequences of their karma. Maybe their next generation does. But who cares. -

Exactly. Never understood people paying for Netflix when you can download any show you want for free from the internet. If this was not the case only a few people would own the software and services, from the beginning of the internet. I do cherish the old days of the internet. -

Elon probably sees this as an opportunity for more tax cuts or atleast potentially ward off any taxes on the rich. This might also seal his 2024 win. America will get a lot more worse before it improves. -

That's true, but he merely published a few pdfs givens to him. I can understand if they go against the one who leaked it. US trying to make it look like he aided in the stealing of documents. In this context Becky is exposing criminal activity, not nudes. -

Mental health crisis is a problem in hyper individualistic cities were people have isolated themselves despite being surrounded by lots of people. We are supposed to live dependent on each other. To solve this we need to bring back communities and mutual support systemically. Even right now most of the homes in Europe in many suburbs are empty simply because such homes are their second homes. Here is India, a good number of homes are empty as they migrate to US/Europe. The point is that we have to design cities in a different way that would enable interaction with people. Super blocks are one solution. All services you need like hospitals shops etc will be at a walking distance. Cars won't be entertained too much. Children will have more grounds to play with etc... instead of being glued to a flickering screen checking out how other lives. You rarely see kids in the country side suffering from mental health issues. It's not as prevalent as in the cities. -

With regards to pricing, I don't think brokies should be concerned with mental health when they haven't gotten their basics of life handled yet. Money is probably your problem, which is in turn affecting your mental health. Simply talking them out of it isn't the solution. Just find ways to make money and then worry about mental health. Also hears about government funding therapy should not be entertained. The basics of life like nutritious food and shelter, and basic medical care need to be implemented first. Then go into the mental health therapy subsidised by the government. -

These days everything is monetized. So even talking to people about your problems is a service that has to be paid for is absurd. Mental health issues has a grave individual side that is often ignored. Not to dismiss the graveness of the matter, but you are the only being in the world, so why bother sharing anything with anyone. Not only that you can't share, you cannot absolutely share anything with anyone at all. With that said, regularly exercising not watching Netflix and social media, having a purpose even if it is small, can work wonders for mental health. People are just too caught up in their own heads. It's mostly self inflicted. -

Anyone who thinks that I am an Anti abortion nut case ideologically defending Pro-Life side has completely missed the point. Infact I have defended abortion rights on twitter against conservatives. I have built some carefully constructed arguments here to make you understand the other side and you may not be as objective as you think you are. Especially on the equivalent stance on vaccines. I think I have gotten my point across well. This alone should be enough of a detterant from forcing anything on anyone, since plenty of companies (including the prominent vaccine makers have added horrible contents into their medicines that was later known to cause cancer and stuff). I do respect abortion rights of women. Honestly speaking, it's hard for me to be sympathetic towards who want abortion rights but also simultaneously require everyone else to be forcibly vaccinated. [ Also considering that everything regarding the vaccines was highly disputed and controversial. You cannot claim objectivity here. ] Like why should I respect others who don't respect me? Universe have worked to expose your hypocrisy is such a short span of time. -

The thing about vaccine is that it is a great solution for obese people and those with pre existing medical issues. They are the group of people hardest hit by c19. So such people may be required to take it since they are the ones who are also likely to flood up hospitals. Those who already works out and is fit do not need to be forced this on. Studies have shown that even if you are in a confined room with an infected person, wearing a mask is sufficient protection from getting infected. Since that is the case you really have no reason to blame those who haven't taken the vax to explain why those who have taken the vax is infected. You also have to consider the placebo effect of vaccines. If someone believes that the vax is bad for them, giving them the vax turns their health actually bad. So it is in their best interest to leave them alone. The opposite is true as well, if someone thinks that the vax is good, then they vaccine starts to show better efficacy.( Even if they were injected with water in the name of vaccine) I wonder why no one even thinks of this. Placebo effect is much more stronger than you think. -

The point is to not mandate exercises like communists. Violating individuals like this is unsustainable. And in the long run, any powerful entity that overcontrols individuals beyond their autonomy & integrity will be judged harshly by history. Some vision making people healthy that will be to systematically encourage people to work out and clean up their diet, but more slightly more stricter than it is doing right now. This has to built into the culture. Maybe give free gym memberships for fat people and encourage them to work out. Now that's a creative solution. Maybe the government themselves can take initiatives to build gyms and make them more accessible to people. And the rest has to do with cleaning up the diet. This must be done culturally & from the side of the government. And how it's exactly must be implemented is up for discussion. Always go with accommodating and creative solutions instead of one size fits all solutions. -

There is too much to talk about vaccines & c19 but this thread was not about it per say. I expected people to say something like "mandates happened & it was unfortunate." Which would be the correct stance. Instead what I got is unconsciously setting the precedent for government to violate bodily Autonomy. Thankfully here in India the supreme court is against forcing everyone to get vaccinated citing bodily Autonomy & individual integrity. https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/covid-no-individual-can-be-forced-to-take-vaccination-supreme-court-1944356-2022-05-02
