I am too young to be giving advices to people and I am doing it too much on this forum. Being wrong is a great fear of mine. Almost an insecurity. I want to be precise and correct all the time. People generally switch jobs to get more pay, in every 3-4 years. I understand that pay is not your concern, but principles for which your company is based on. This just makes the whole process more complex and hard to arrive at a decison. If you are financially secure, then you are good to go. If not, I would advice to get that part of your life secured before experimentation. Experience in a top tier bank is always a good safety net. You always have the option to return to the old job, just in case you feel like it. Overall it's hard to be fully satisfied at a job when you are based on principles. (Unless you are working for yourself). The bank is not exactly capitalistic, but it is whatever it need to survive. Yes, they are doing devils work sometimes, but the difficult part is to accept that it may be necessary for society. Maybe you leaving it makes no difference overall since someone more devilish may take up that position. It is a tough moral decision to make, if you actually care about changing the world for good. In politics the pro active side wins, passive side loses. Trump won despite being less popular than hilary. Trump also lost the popular vote and still managed to win the election. Republicans unleashed their most polarising far right candidate, went all in and won. Democrats on the other hand are much more divided within themselves between the establishment and the progressives. The establishment Democrats are still RW. Progressives are the only real LW in America. If Dems were truly proactive then they should unless the most LW candidate to make sure that they use all the power to make society go towards the left. Instead society has moved further towards RW. This should have never happened. Because naturally society moves LW. So Dems should face less resistance compared to repubs if they were to go left in full throttle.
