Russia could barely fight Ukraine army with old US weapons that were about to be disposed. Do you think he will hesitate to jse Nukes? I don't see any other way Russia would have any advantage. -

Fun Fact. The Arab world is not nearly United in the issue of Palestine as you would like to think. They simply can't speak otherwise due to fear to breaking the unity among the arab nations which is petty. They should also have some standard and balls to stand up for their own cause. -

U@Raze I was not even making a "historical" statement. I am talking about the modern times unless otherwise mentioned. Pakistan was never invaded and they still fund terrorism. The only reason they are not invaded is because they have nukes. And don't make it look like it was all heavens before the invasion of Iraq. They would fund terrorism regardless because that's what their religion tells them to. And also the Americans and Israel are humans who also have knee jerk reactions. You are expecting them to be saints absorbing all the attacks like 9/11, till they stop, which will not happen. War on terror was an offensive based on lies of weapons of mass destruction and deep in enemy territory which was bound to fail. It's a full on invasion of another country, an incompetent one to be clear. The changing politics of America makes it hard to be clear on their stance regarding terrorism because they don't commit to it when it matters. For example Biden not assisting the Saudi govt in eliminating the Houthis in 2021 and removing them from terrorisms list. A few air strikes would have solved the problem. The bigger problem is not merely terrorism. But the Iran/Russia and even Qatar funding it. They are the manufacturers of instability in the free world because they are too incompetent to get a decent military on their own and would deny any involvement at all. This is the alliance that we have to break. Any country has the right to take measures it perceives as will improve its security. Israel is taking a defensive measure to make sure what happened on oct 7 will not happen again. -

Iran tried their best to keep low, but their firing of missiles into Pakistan had their cover blown. -

Iran is okay with sacrificing not only Palestinians but also hamas itself just to make Israel look bad. It's important to not take the bait and not make deals with devils. As long as hamas or any Islamic Terrorist organization exists, you would have to deal with them. Better to wipe them off when you still can. -

We are not moving anywhere. We are in a rough patch that happens every other decade where the global order become disrupted due to wars, recession etc. US would probably have less power than it used to because others are catching up. But no one is ready to dethrone US from it's position yet. India is a democracy so there is a chance. But they are free to work with the US and share the same values. Russia/China/Islamic Terrorist states are getting themselves out of the game. The only reason they were in at all was because of oil and cheap manufacturing which might not be so relevant in future. For ex India could be a manufacturing hub like what china used to be. And once oil is out of the picture, Russia would have zero bargaining power over the world. The only concern for the US is their debt levels. If the global market shifts such that it dethrones US, then what kept Russia/China in power would also shift. And US would have much more leverage even in the new order. Countries that priorities freedom, individual rights, freedom of expression, human rights would come out on top every time. Others are pulling off an opportunistic attempt to fish when the water is too muddy. -

All terrorists even look and act the same way. It's not that hard to define what a terrorist looks like. For example if Israel was a terrorist state, then you wouldn't be protesting here to stop the bombing. You can do that because there is chance that they might listen. Actual terrorists do not care. I am not going to bother defining a terrorist for you. It's willful ignorance. There is standard definitions for terrorists groups and the states even have their list. What's in here that is worth philosophising about? Israel is no angel and they have their share of terrorising Palestinians by flying jets above the speed of sound over their homes. In that case they should build a proper government, use the funding they get from Iran, among the supplies from UN to defend themselves instead of resorting to terrorism. Hamas, Houthi, Hezbollah all are wings of Iran. They are looking for a reason to eliminate Israel. I wish they gets wiped off the map for good as the world could reach more stability. I trust Israel to get it done. This. 2020-29 decade has seen/seeing a temporary decline in globalism and these fringe powers are seeking to grab their pie in a dying attempt as the world moves on to more freedom and liberalism. They absolutely hate that US is the leader of world and seek to dethrone them using cowardly tactics. They know that there will be huge backlash from the world for inflicting such destruction on civilians so they choose to build bases right in the middle of civilian infrastructure. They are taking advantage of the liberal values we have and that's their last resort. That's cheap and cowardly. -

You have been asking many questions and when I answer it, you don't like it. Reality is dirty. There is no fine solution here. And there should be more than two sides to this war. And I am not saying your position is flawed here so something. You are totally valid in protesting for the lives of civilians. I am just focusing on the larger issue at play here which does not contradict your position. The larger issue is terrorism spreading worldwide resulting in even more human costs in the long run. --- The Houthi problem today will not have happened if Biden did not revoke his involvement from Yemen back in 2021 and he took them out the list of global terrorists' group, just so that he can have the opposite position as Trump. But they ignored it even at the Request of Saudi and real Yemense govt and not they are choking the global maritime supply. You cannot postpone war. You can only end it quickly. -
These subscription services are shady. There should be some prepaid bundle that you can buy for some months in advance without letting them charge you every month. Or the bank should ask you for permission to charge every month before deduction.

Do you know the efforts US put into studying Bin Laden's residence before they went ahead with the special operations. You cannot launch the special forces on a whim. When you are in enemy territory, the enemy is the superior one purely by looking at the numbers. Your superiority does not count to anything. Home advantage is the true superiority. Special forces works only when the enemy is isolated, relatively unarmed with little security. None of which resembles Hamas. All these people suggesting special forces operation like the one US used to take out Bin Laden wants to feel like they are contributing to a solution here. It is not the solution. You will get smoked by a decently armed Palestine civilian, if not Hamas militants. So, what you want to happen. They should have done nothing at all and watch it all unfolding Infront of their eyes. How do you plan to get the hostages back? Or should you let them take hostages routinely and let them parade the women they killed? Bombing is letting them know of the consequences they could be facing and that might be their end. War is about to continue into the future. I only hope something comes out of it. Both of them fire rockets at each other routinely. Just that the ones fired by Israel lands often. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Not just Hamas, the entire Arab world is okay sacrificing the lives of civilians of Palestine solely for the purpose of making Israel look bad. Even Egypt and Saudi wanted to side with Israel, but they could not because of peer pressure from the Arab world. They are not willing to make any concessions of any form whatsoever. If my mom is living beside terrorists, then it's a matter of time before she gets bombed anyway. It's not like you have a choice. It is something that is bound to happen sooner than later. If she is kidnapped by terrorists, then there is a lot more room for diplomacy to get her back. Let's say worse come to the worst, if I have to say goodbye to my mother in exchange for wiping out a global terrorist organization from the map, I would not be particularly happy by it, but I would totally understand why it happened, if it happened. These are the consequences of living near terrorists. It comes as a package and is totally to be expected. This is the price you pay for living in an uncivilized world, through no fault of your own. If I was born in Palestine, then I would not be mature enough to realize all this. But I am not. Also, you have to make a decision eventually. End the cycle of terrorism before they kidnap and torture even more women and children. And establish an international body to ensure the rights and sovereignty of Palestine citizens. The ideal case is that all three terrorist groups get wiped off the map. I trust Israel to make it happen. So, if Israel did not attack, they wouldn't even have any leverage to get the hostages back? Are you saying that bombing till now was justified if getting back the hostages was indeed the first priority. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
In that case you would do a special operation to take out the terrorist. But a special forces operation will not work when there are thousands of well-trained terrorists with weapons who has held your mom hostage and use children as shields. -
I have been trying to integrate spirituality and finances and it is not working well. Sometimes, spirituality is nothing more than cold hearted survival and nothing more is to be expected. Any attempts to integrate those two will either fail, or it you do manage it, you will get no tangible advantage when it comes to making money. Better follow the rules of making money and use the skill you learned here.

The odds of the Chinese invasion succeeding is zero. They are not nearly the superior military you think they are. They are going to make themselves look like a joke in the world's stage. They should be self aware enough to recognise this. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Tel Aviv would have the military and take responsibility to take out the terrorists themselves without any outside intervention. Israel army could not operate like that in Gaza. The local population will not cooperate. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
It's not just 130 hostages. The existence of hamas implies there would be thousands more hostages, rapes and kidnappings as much as Israel is willing to tolerate long into the future. At one point, they decide enough is enough. Also those children are the reason hamas even exist. They need to operate in children's hospital so that they wouldn't be taken out. None of this would have happened it they came to fight upfront without being such cowards using children as human shields. Does that justify killing thousands of children? No. But there would be killings anyway. This would put an end to all this. There is no peaceful ending. The tunnel networks should be destroyed and the city infrastructure rebuilt well once again for civilians and some international body setup to protect the rights of Palestinians. -
I feel ya. Focusing on finances feels so weird different after being a self help junkie for so long. It's weird in a way normies would never understand. For most people it's to live make money enjoy and die. And they get some sort of first mover advantage when it comes to making money because they are more likely to pounce on it and bang it hard without thinking twice when the opportunity strikes. Self help junkies think and contemplate a lot more which might be a hit to money making muscles. However it's better to get it out of the way before it becomes a roadblock. You are not alone.

It's in the CIA playbook rule 101. Destabilized governments are easier to control and influence because of their sheer power of the former. You cannot influence a stable government. They would have their own interests and push it over you. I don't see a two state solution where both of them are fully autonomous and independent, working even in theory. Both parties don't want two state solution, least of all, Palestinians. Blinded by self interests in the short term might have setbacks in the long term, as it did for Bin Laden. What if the US never set foot in the middleast? Would that result in even more terrorism/war or civilization flourish as it used to, once? I don't know. -

I wonder how much would this work in the US where a lot of college students are foreign nationals. It would end up giving free education to asians and some whites. Scholarship for meritorious students is a good thing. Also a lot of funding is needed for R&D. How much of that would come from a free college system. Would students pay for R&D funding? You can't just imitate all the policies from the Europe just because it works in Europe. -

US is following it's own interests. In the other news, sky is blue. US can only depend on Israel to instill any sort of control in this chaotic region of the world, of course if will side with Israel. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
This is good take. The solution must come from a powerful country from the outside. US could only get Israel to obey the international law. But the problem is these attacks would continue to happen indefinitely towards the future that one point, you snap and go for the kill. That's where Israel is at right now. Also note that international law or any law or morality for that matter doesn't apply to the other side. They cheer when they fire rockets to Israel and cry when one comes their way. Instead of not firing anything in the first place. -

I don't think anyone used the term "bad" for describing Palestinians. Egypt had a moral responsibility and even incentivised by the west to give up the blockade. They didn't because they don't care about the lives of Palestinians. Period. If Egypt can't accept them, Israel shouldn't have any moral responsibility to accept them into their land either. I am just saying Egypt needs same or even more criticism than Israel for holding the blockade. Egypt is in a shit ton of debt and might even collapse due to their poorly planned capital building. And Just because Nazi's use some argument doens't mean anything. Hitler was a vegetarian too. So when you see someone advocating for vegetarian diet would you say "Oh look you are using the same argument as Hitler" What does that mean? It means nothing. Not good not bad. Analyse the situation at hand. There was a serious case for Egypt to do all the things that you were criticising Israel for. Egypt had all the power and even monetary incentive to end this misery. Heck even the shipping via the suez canal has significantly decreased due to bombings in the red sea by houthis. So this lack of marine traffic had plummeted their revenue significantly. So it's fair to say they had a shit load of incentives to cease the blockade. And international aid would have swept in via Egypt to help those starving Palestinians, on top of forgiving all their debt they took up to build their new capital. That's a legit argument that should be addressed directly without drawing parallels to freking Hitler. You are not really making any case but poor attempts to make Israel look like Hitler. --- With that said, I do get why Egypt is holding up the blockade. One is that they have serious pressure from other arab countries to hold up the blockade. The other is that terrorists can destabilize their government making it hard to control them.
