Still the lowest of all the energy sources. Japan has built reactors within 4-5 years. What's stopping the US from building? Their own regulations. So it takes longer to build which adds on top of the expenses. This is on top of being the safest of all energies. It take decades to build because you don't allow them to work as fast as they can. Not because it takes inherently so long to build. What's the alternative? Coal? Wind? Solar? Renewable are not even scalable and cause even more damage to the environment if you try to scale it. It can be pushed to work for even more than 40 years. All wind/solar farms will work for half of that time, so you are looking at shit tons of waste and the challenge that come with recycling it. Look at the alternatives. And they say which is better. -

Jews with all their remarkable talent and skill choose the middleast east as their place. The world would have benefited immensely had they built their homes somewhere safe. As of now endless wars are the only thing in sight. I can only hope the finish what they started for good. Peace must be enforced with violence. Peace and order is of primary importance. -

I can comprehend that. You can comprehend that. But I don't think actual terrorists would compreh that. They are living in a one dimensional world. If both sides are terrorists, then the bigger terrorist should eventually win. You don't need to bring relativity into war. You appreciate the concept of relativity because there is a big bad govt with disproportionate power who will fuck anyone up in case they are disrupting the peace and social order. That peace was established only through violence. -

They didn't die directly because of the explosion at Fukushima, but due to the tsunami and earthquake that accompanied it. Also the real deal toll is only 1 dude who died from radiation and they way they estimate these numbers are highly disputable. Except for Chernobyl, none of these reportings are explosions. They are accidents. Often working with ancient technology which are not relevant to our discussion in 2024. -

The world is not going to go down, though a lot of species might go extinct. We are letting this happen in front of our eyes when the solution is laid out so obviously and clearly. Our lack of will is the only thing letting this happen. This is also a reminder for the average folk to not get too carried up about climate change. The elites are only interested in expanding the size of their purse and to reach some immediate goal. Sustainable long term thinking will only come from solid yellow minds, who are not even close to getting in power. Not in the next 50 years. Maybe after that we might start seeing a lot of yellow thinking pop up, because who will put up with this crap anyway? So save yourself. The planet will not forsake us. -

The number of people killed by nuclear energy explosions is a whopping 1 dude, that too in the most extreme circumstances possible, a combination of 9 magnitude Earthquake and Tsunami combined. Even though Nuclear is by far the most safest and cleanest of all energies hippie/capitalist propaganda might cost us not meeting the climate change goals by 2050. It's about to get hot. -

https://images.app.goo.gl/ZddacbPpLdWxbd7x7 Did some digging and it seems that you don't have to waste decades to build nuclear reactor. A reasonable time frame is just 5 years. Japan has built reactors within 4 years. 21% of the reactors Take 5 or less years to build. The median time for building a rector is only 7 or 8 years. And the reason reactors are expensive is because of insurance and regulations and strict standards for safety. The more regulations and safety checking there are the more time it takes to build. It's not expensive only due to the sheer volume of steel and concrete. Overall if there is political will, you can fasten up the process and heavily subsidize it which will see the costs of nuclear power coming down significantly. And then we get clean constant voltage for nearly 80 years with minimal operating costs. -

I didn't say there isn't any oppression. But if you want to control the oppression, you need to first establish law and order, by force. Or both sides must be willing to back off without the use of force. And be happy with the land they have at the moment. This is extremely hard to come by, if you appreciate the ground reality of it. The Houthi terrorists have already started launching rockets at container, gas tanker ships in the red sea because of what Israel is doing. I guess even that is justified to you because some people are oppressed. Thank Goodness the US navy exists to impose peace in international waters. Without the US navy projecting it's force in the international waters we would all bend to the whims of the terrorist. At the moment most ships have rerouted via cape town instead of the Red sea because it's not worth getting bombed. And be prepared to pay significantly more for oil. Even that should be okay. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
This is a justification of terrorism. Plenty of terrorist groups exist while no one has oppressed them. If bad policy is enough of a reason to start terrorism, then we should have l lot more terrorism in this world. These people want to exterminate Israel. They have funneled in millions of dollars from Iran to build a trained terrorist group. This does not happen because they were too oppressed. The only reasonable solution is to set up an international Committe that would be responsible for enforcing law and order in the region. As long as that is not the case Israel, can and should take matters into their own hands. If you cannot do that, then things will resolve itself through war on its own. Is there a Palestinian state? Do they have a military? Do they have a border? Get these things in order. A common theme is that terrorism never ends well. So end it as soon as possible. -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
The controversial position on occupation by displacing the Palestinians. This is really tough position I admit. I cannot blame Israel for occupancy of the Gaza, West Bank and th Golan heights. Those positions are of high strategic importance and vital for the security of Israel. Also why is governance in Palestine so incompetent? There must be some powerful entity like the government to rule over Palestine. Whoever ruling them has to ensure they don't harbour terrorist activities in their state. And put an end stop firing rockets onto the other side. Can you really blame Israel for firing rockets when there are rockets coming down to Israel as well? You can always negotiate with Israel to stop bombings. But can you do the same with an unreasonable side. So Israel too matters into it's own hands and took control of the governence of these strategic places. I say that some international entity with significant arab presence must establish law and order in Palestine to make sure that Israel doesn't expand occupations further and don't commit more oppressions. This occupation thing is really complex. -

Don't try to stop. Keep arguing. But this time observe the whole process. -
Depends. Is the random killing happening infront of you face or is it happening in some other part of the world that you don't have to see it. If you have to do it or see it up close, most people would choose not to have them killed.

1) What is the reason for the occupation? 2) Can you guarantee safety for Israel if they end all occupation? -
Bobby_2021 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
You forgot to mention that missiles are flying both ways. Hello. There are missiles targeted at Israel flying over them every single day. Israel would have been cooked if not for the iron dome. The militants were already firing back. Just that they are intercepted at the sky itself. Food, water and supplies were suspended after oct 7. The net worth of hamas leaders are worth $10B. They are no oppressed gang. If they wanted they could have helped them build and support their fellow Muslim community. But nah they built elaborate tunnels funded terrorism. Why is israel given the responsibility for supplying them with food and water. Why can't Iran do it? What should you do with people who want to exterminate you. You blockade them. Is Palestine open to a two state solution? Nope. Then how should israel deal with them. Even Egypt has not lift the blockade. Having a border is not enough of a reason to start an attack. And terrorism has a possibility to spiral out of control into a bigger war. This would happen by design. It's a possibility. From a historical perspective, do you think Israel is the only side at fault here? That only if Israel ended the occupation, there would be complete harmony and peace in the region. I am seriously asking to know. Also, are Palestinians open for a two state solution at all? -
Deep.

One a side note, US funded Pakistan to counter the Geopolitical influence of India in the region. Right now, they decreased the funding significantly for good. That state is one good shit show and devilry. -

That's not how this works. Israel not only has to right to defend itself in the present, but also to protect itself from any future attacks from these radical groups. Who knows what they are going to pull up in the future. If you bomb my house, then I will immediately regress to stage red when I used to be stage yellow thinker my whole life prior and I would have to resort to barbaric measures to ensure my safety. The modern free world not built on inclusivity, but radical intolerance to a few things. One of them being terrorism. The only way to confront terror is with even more terror. How else do you think you establish peace? The superior altruistic entity has to use terror if the circumstance demands it. You have no idea what these people would do if they are allowed to grow unchecked. Do you know what would happen if Iran developed nuclear weapons, and Hamas gets hold of it somehow? Would they think twice of anything like we do? All these are dreaded possibilities that terrorism makes possible. If someone slaps you, then you would also regress to a lower stage to cope with the situation. This applies to countries as well. This is standard spiral dynamics. It is easy to criticize Israel from your cozy room. In reality, you would behave exactly the same if you are viscously assaulted. You will do anything to stop them from assaulting you further. That is what Israel is doing. Your reptilian brain will make the decisions once you are assaulted. The reptilian mind knows only even more terror. So it is a damn good idea to not poke the reptilian hive mind, especially if it's the strongest hyper efficient force in the world. I do hope we they wipe out from the map. Even letting 5% of them survive will be a mistake. 100% of them should be exterminated and their tunnels flooded or destroyed with bombs. I do not support bombing children, which would not have happened if Islamic militants choose not to bomb Israel on oct 7. ------- Do not be fooled by rhetorical words like Hamas, Israel, Gaza. IDF. You are going to get trapped with ideology if you think like that. Think in terms of Spiral Dynamics, Terrorism, Safety and even Occupation. No side is clean and there is plenty of collateral damage, which is also because terrorists use innocent children as shields. I am under no obligation to make sense of the sub ideologies which consists of infighting, backstabbing, treachery. They do not think in reasonable terms. They are terrorists for God's sake. Being a terrorist makes no sense either. You expect them to act in reasonable terms when it is a bunch of deranged individuals and ego games with a grand common agenda/ideology. You are pointing out minor differences between them. In other words, you are missing the content for the structure. USA and Australia are pretty similar in terms of ideology, beliefs, standard of living etc. They are functionally the same and they look the same. You want me to call them different because it is summer in December. Australia, UK, US, NZ, Canada are all tightly coupled countries which could happen because they are fundamentally the same in ideology and even governance. You can always minor differences that don't really matter. ------ The reptilian response to terrorism is not going to be justifiable or reasonable. Maybe you will bomb surrounding countries too which might have done nothing. You can only say that in retrospect. Most people in US supported the Iraq invasion at the time. This not their well-meaning sane brain thinking. It is a collective knee jerk reaction of the hive mind, which is very real with real consequences for those dumb enough to poke them. For their credit, they did accomplish their object by taking out Osama even though they had to bear huge collateral damage. Terrorism itself is unreasonable and make the victims of it unreasonable things as well. So yeah it is not justifiable. Do you think I support Israel in this lol? i do not. They funded terrorists and they paid their price for it. Do not even associate with terrorists because nothing good will ever come from them. They should take their lessons and not fund terrorists. I do not get why people want to fund terrorism. How is this not dead obvious that it will come to bite you back in the ass? Just look at how pathetic Pakistan have become by funding terrorists. Now no one even wants to invest in Pakistan because of terrorism. They could only go downward from here. Heck even US funded and keeps funding Pakistan despite India warning them not to. So yeah even the US funded terrorists. -

These are unstable terrorist organisation which eventually do terrorism among themselves. Who would have thought. These are terrorists. That's what they do. And of course, ingroup fighting is the norm all ideological ideological groups. You fight among your family more than a stranger. In group fighting is a feature. You should not sweat trying to call them names. They are islamic terrorists. Terrorists don't discriminate on who they bomb. They are flimsy and turn on each other every other day. They are terrorists. The correct question to ask is, how many countries has *Islamic Terrorists* bombed. Oct 7 is not an isolated event but the continuation of the rampant terrorism by, you know who. If they look like ISIS, talks like ISIS and bombs like ISIS, it's probably ISIS. "Hamas" is a minor division of the same branch which is fundamentally motivated by the same ideology. There isn't much difference in their motivations. Not to mention what they would do if they had the powers of Israel. They would use all that power to spread even more terrorisms in the world. That's why they must be picked out young before they get more power. Say no to terrorism. It's not that hard. The invasion of Iraq was a response to what exactly? Terrorism. Liberating the middleast is just political rhetoric. It was just a knee jerk response to flying planes into world trade centre. If the government did not act and did something, they would look stupid. That's the problem with terrorism. When you do terrorism to me then that invokes terrorist instincts in me as well. It's hurt people that then goes to hurt others and that's why it's the most important to end terrorism as soon as possible with the least damage and destruction as possible. What US did back then was a mistake. What Israel is doing now is also bad. That's the whole problem with terrorism. But it had to be done for the greater good. Again, it's not like I am supporting Israel blindly like I did in the beginning. I have a better understanding of the situation and emphathy for both side. If Gaza was capable of governing themselves, they should have eliminated these terrorists already. But now Israel has to do it for them. Look at the long term benefits of such a thing. I hope they do wipe out Islamic Terrorists from the map. Terrorists should not act surprised when they get returned their favour. What did you expect? -
If someone is into AI, then build a custom ActualizedGPT, feed all the content from YT into it and maybe even Leo's fourm posts and we can all chat with it. Now that would be infinite insights.

Unpopular opinion: USA is fairly consistent in their objectives whether be it in Israel or Russia. If I have to pick a side I will definitely stick with US regardless of anything else. This is not something that I am rooting for but this is the lesser of the two(or more) evils. If hamas(ISIS) is allowed to exist, it will create far more misery and death than what Israel is doing right now. I hate to use the word "collateral damage" so you might recontextualize it as upfront damage. Destruction right now for a peaceful future. Someone has to liberate the middleast from the eternal warfare. And that can be done by a superior force only. Hamas is not the correct wording either. Just call them ISIS because it looks the same and talks the same and does things the same. -
Bro I liked a few job posts on reels and it keep serving me more of the exact same reels all over. I had to make a new account to see something different and be very careful of accidentally clicking a random reel. We need different accounts for different themes of content these days.

The least barbaric middle eastern country. -
All I am saying is this. AI has made it far easier to make projects for people with no professional experience. So from the perspective of the recruiter the first thought they have when looked at the project is if they used AI to build this and as a consequence the projects may not directly transfer to skill. Just that thought may cross their mind. This means that you need to use even more creativity and skill to stand out from the banal AI dupes out there as long as you are relying on projects to display your skill. And any number of projects will not add up to real world experience. You should try to get real world professional experience and use personal project portfolio as a supplement. You are essentially competing with experienced folks in the market.

https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/israel-hamas-war-us-criticises-south-africa-for-bringing-israel-case-to-international-court-of-justice-4795699 Lmao.... How do they do mental gymnastics to say this is not genocide? Israel is the watchdog of US in the middleast. They can do anything with the support of US. The battle is, was and always would be , with the elites and other elites. People of the same class fight with each other. People in the lower classes are eternally deluded to what their stance is in society.
