  1. @Leo Gura Can you please share your thoughts on my response to your comment? I feel this is a very tricky situation and I would like to hear your opinion.
  2. @Leo Gura Your right I am specifically talking about law enforcement in this case but I was attempting to refer to it specifically in my case when I am considering going into politics. I think I should have expanded on what I meant about this for my life in this post. What I was trying to say is that in politics there are many different fields I am fully interested in going into. I think politics is the field that I want to pursue and I am 95 % sure that is the career I want to have. I have researched and found 35 different areas of politics that I find meaningful and am passionate about. However, the 36th area was on this area specifically that I brought up in my post which was on the death penalty and that is how politicians help victims of crimes get justice sometimes. This seems to be the only area hesitating me from fully going into politics because in my mind when I think about the victims of any situation even though I would like to help all of them I can't help but separating them into "good victims" and "bad victims". In my mind I feel like I might only find it meaningful and be passionate about helping the people you would consider to be good. This is why I was gave the example of the Parkland Shooter who killed 17 people. Ron Desantis was extremely passionate about changing the death penalty laws in Florida because they felt like the killer didn't receive the justice he deserved. I looked at a situation like this and thought about if I were in Ron Desantis position being a politician. I would find it meaningful and I would be passionate about changing the laws to make sure the next victims get the justice they deserve. However what if while trying to help victims I would consider good people I am also having to help people who don't really deserve it at the same time and they could also be considered bad people. So what if as a politician some of the victims that I am fighting to get justice for are people who don't really deserve it or who aren't good people. What I am trying to say is that as a politician they fight to get justice for victims which I absolutely want to do however there's also another side which is getting justice for victims you could consider to be "bad people" and not "good people". It would seem as a politician if I were to have to fight for all victims some of my passion and energy would be going to the wrong people then. Like for example in the Parkland shooter situation what if out of those 17 people some of them would be considered "bad people" when they were here. Like I said I feel like politics really is my passion and there are 35 other different areas I feel fully confident about in politics. That is why I would like to get some advice on this issue specifically because I am wondering how I can stop viewing victims as "good" and "bad" and be able to attempt to get justice for them all?
  3. @universe @SeaMonster I would consider bad victims as jerks, assholes or bullies who were hurting and mistreating other people while they were here. The first video below This is an example of what I mean the Parkland shooter Nickolas Cruz killed 17 people and injured 17 others. Now if I were to go into politics I would feel very passionate about getting justice for the victims. However I feel like I would only become successful in my life getting justice for the good victims and not the bad ones. I would feel like a sucker being so passionate and helping some of the victims get justice who didn't really deserve it. The second video below is Ron Desantis changing the death penalty laws because the Parkland families felt they didn't get the justice they deserved for their family members. I would be really interested and passionate about doing something like this however I feel like I would only become successful in my life and find it meaningful to help the good victims get justice not the bad ones. I want to clarify to I am not saying a bad victim deserved to have what happened to them. I am just saying I would only find it deeply meaningful and passionate to help the good ones get justice.
  4. I know that politics is something that I find meaningful and I am really passionate about it. I feel like it might even be the life purpose that I have been searching for. However one area that I have been constantly going back and forth on is the death penalty in politics. After researching on the internet I know that one of the ways to help victims sometimes is through some politicians trying to get or advocate for the death penalty for certain crimes. When it comes to really awful crimes that have been committed I do feel like the death penalty is the proper punishment. On one hand I feel like I find it very meaningful and I am passionate about making sure that good victims get justice. I want to clarify that I am not saying any victim deserved to have what happened to them. However since I don't know any of the victims in these cases I wouldn't feel successful in my life fighting and advocating extremely hard for a bad victim to get justice. When i say a bad victim I mean someone that was a horrible person who was mistreating everyone around them and being a complete asshole to people when they were alive. A bad victim to me is someone who was completely awful while they were here. A person that if I was to have met them in my life I would have hated them. I try to assume that in every situation of a crime you had good victims and bad victims around 50/50 so it evens out. However I still wouldn't feel comfortable advocating and fighting so hard for bad victims in this world. What should I do if I am passionate about politics but the death penalty is one area I feel unsure about because I don't want to advocate and fight for bad victims?
  5. @Leo Gura I wanted to hear your opinion on this and wanted to see what advice you had as well.
  6. I have recently figured out that politics is the field that I want to go into. I know it is the field that I want to pursue and it is what I want to be doing. However I am still trying to figure out what my life purpose is. I am not sure if politics is my life purpose but I do know it is the field I want to be. I am still trying to explore and figure out what my life purpose is. What should I do if I want to pursue politics but at the same time I am not sure if that is my life purpose and I am still trying to figure out what exactly is?

  8. I feel like life is pointless because I'm just one person out of billions of people. Like if I'm just one person then why should I try to have a life purpose? If my life really doesn't matter that much why should I even try to find a purpose in life. It just feels like all of this really doesn't matter because the world will go on without me and any one person so I don't understand the point of trying. I don't understand the point of having a life purpose because even if I do I'm still just one person. I just feel like this doesn't matter at all because I'm just one person and even if I have a life purpose it won't change that fact.
  9. @Adodd I'm uninspired and lacking vision because I know even if I have a purpose in life that purpose is still just ONE purpose out of so many other purposes that other people have, For example you can take any successful person in this world Justin Bieber, Donald Trump, Michael Jordan, Connor McGregor etc. Their success is still just one person's success out of billions of people and they all are just one person. Out of all that they have accomplished each of their life purpose's is still just ONE purpose out of so many other purposes that other people have.
  10. @Stovo I don't know if that would make me feel better. I don't know how things should be in life but I know they shouldn't be like this. I shouldn't be just one person out of billions of people. I shouldn't be so unimportant and small to the world. Even if I was to have and find a life purpose it still shouldn't just be one purpose out of billions of people. I don't know how things should be in life but I know they shouldn't be like this.
  11. Doesn’t it seem meaningless to do anything in life since we are all just one person out of billions of people? Like if things will go on without us and the world won’t stop for anyone it seems pointless to do anything. It seems pointless to do anything because even if we do succeed that success is still just one person's success out of billions of people. Plus, most people aren’t even aware that we exist or ever will be aware of our existence. People die everyday and the world doesn't stop for them at all and the same will happen for any one person. I don't understand the point of doing anything since everything will go on without me since I'm just one person.
  12. @Leo Gura I agree it still feels like though even if I was to find my life purpose that’s just one purpose out of billions of people. Like my purpose still isn’t really that significant because it’s only one purpose out of billions of people. Like one persons success in life is still just one persons success out of billions of people.
  13. I would like to know how I can stop being easily influenced by others to act and do things that I wouldn’t normally do. I am a person that becomes easily influenced by others and they affect me into doing things that I otherwise wouldn’t do. I have gotten around people who have influenced me into doing things that I wouldn’t have done myself. I have gotten myself in environments that were extremely toxic and they negatively influenced me into doing things I wouldn’t do. I would like to know how I can stick to my morals and beliefs and not be influenced to do things that go against them.
  14. I am wondering on top of watching Leo's videos what are all the things I can do for personal development. I am wondering what are all the different things I can do for it. I want to know anything and everything I can do. I would like to know all of the youtube channels, books, articles, topics, research and anything else I can look at and do for it.
  15. I have noticed that I am way to nice to strangers and people that I don't know. I'm worried because somebody could be shady or dangerous and I am not protecting myself because I am not thinking correctly. I've noticed that other people have the mindset and say things like "I don't know you", "I don't know this person" "your a stranger", or "your someone that I just met". I never think like this or say things like this. I feel like I am way to comfortable with people I don't know and wanna know how I can stop. I feel like my mindset is way to open with strangers and I don't think of any of these things when I encounter new people.
  16. I have noticed that sometimes I tend to be clueless to my surroundings and everything that is happening around me. Sometimes I don't really pay close attention or any attention at all to people, things or my surroundings. I don't pay as much attention to people, things and situations as I should be. It's like my awareness isn't there sometimes. I would like to know how I can become more aware and stop being so clueless.
  17. I feel like my life is pointless since I'm just one person out of billions of people. I'm 22 years old and it has really set in the horrible truth that I am just one person out of billions of people on this earth. I have realized how unimportant I am to the world and that things will go on without me no matter what. People die every single day and the world doesn't stop for them and the same thing will happen if I'm gone. I feel depressed and unmotivated because I have really realized that this world doesn't need me and everything will go on without me. I feel like nothing really matters anymore now that I realized that I'm just replaceable and everything will go on without me. I feel like this all means nothing and it really doesn't matter what I do in life anymore. I feel unmotivated and depressed because I'm just one person out of billions of people and it doesn't really matter what I do on this earth.
  18. Now I know that many of Leo's videos are all about how to live life. I am watching his videos gaining and applying the information. I am wondering if there are different things that I may not know of that will give me further advice on how to actually live life as well. I would like to know what are the best things I can look at that will give me advice on how to live life. I would like to know if there is a video, book, podcast or something else that will give me further advice on living life.
  19. I have social anxiety when I am in social situations. I tend to get very tense and anxious talking to others. I don't feel like I ever really get loose and comfortable in social settings. I want to know how I can stop having social anxiety and loosen up in social situations.
  20. Yesterday I went to Panda Express and bought food when I was paying for the food I payed with cash and then was owed back change and then the cashier asked me if I would like to "donate the change to a charity"? I said yes but I really wanted to say no because I didn't want to donate the change. I've been saving up change for myself to eventually cash it in. I felt pressured to do something I didn't want to do out of judgment and criticism. I really wanted to say no but didn't. How can I not be pressured into doing something I don't want to do?
  21. I tend to not be who I truly am sometimes because I am worried about how people will judge or criticize me. I feel like I am not my authentic true self at certain times out of fear or being judged or criticized. I feel like I worry about trying to get other people to like me as well. This has become a problem for me because I do things that I don't want to really do out of fear, judgment, criticism and being liked. How can I say what I truly want to say and do what I truly want to do and not pretend to be someone else?
  22. I have noticed that I don't give myself time to think before I act or speak. I act but don't think through my decisions and speak but don't think through what I am going to say. This has affected me because I have made a lot of careless, reckless, stupid decisions because of my lack of thinking.
  23. I would like to know how I can tell when people are laughing with me and when they are laughing at me. If they are laughing at me how should I handle the situation? I am asking about this because there was a situation that happened where I had just got done playing basketball and I didn't have an extra undershirt to wear so I only wore my coat. The coat was not zipped up entirely so you could notice that I didn't have an undershirt on. When I was done at the gym I went to the library and started talking to some people I knew. They noticed that I didn't have an undershirt on and started laughing. I started laughing with them because I thought it was funny. One of my friends who was there wasn't laughing and told me to just zip up my coat all the way. When me and my friend left he told me that I shouldn't have been laughing with them because they were laughing at me and not with me.
  24. I would like to know how I can avoid doing things that I know I will regret later in the future. For example when I am sad and depressed I tend to do things that I wouldn't normally do. I end up regretting them later and wishing I hadn't done them. I would like to know how I can avoid doing these things that I know I will regret later?
