  1. This video talks about some of the dark truths of our life and I think this does a really good job of explaining some of the bad things about life that happen. Below are a list of some of the most important things I think the video points out. 1. "Just be yourself is the worst advice one can give most people". This is true people that commit mass murders, murders, rapes, robberies and other crimes that cause so much harm and suffering to others. It doesn't have to be anything criminal either it could just be the way a person acts or behaves. Just being yourself for a lot of people causes so much pain and harm to other people. 2. "However sad death might be it would take a foolhardy adult to accept an offer to magically return to being five in order to start all over again". I mean this is so true with all of the tragic murders, mass murders and deaths. Also the fact that there is no true purpose in how would anyone do it over again. 3. "Every life is in its own way a tragedy". This is true every life is a tragedy in its own separate way. 4. "Most people can spot in 3 minutes faults in our characters we'll be lucky if we manage to identify in a lifetime". Again this is true. When your with other people you can sometimes spot faults in their personality that they might have never noticed or had someone point out to them. Sometimes other people will do the same thing with us to.
  2. @Bandman You might not like the place that it is coming from but that doesn't mean it's not true. The truth is horrible sometimes even if we don't want to accept it.
  3. Gods perfection comes through in not being yourself. Hilter just being himself caused the killing, suffering and pain to millions of jews and minorities. The Parkland Shooter Nickolas Cruz just being himself caused the killing of 17 innocent people who died at Marjory stoneman douglas high school and the attempted murder of 17 more people. "Just being yourself" is the worst advice you can give to most people because a lot of people just being who they are causes pain, death and suffering to so many others. So yes perfection for some people comes from not being yourself. The examples I just gave you above with Hilter and Nickolas Cruz show how just being yourself is horrible advice for some people.
  4. In middle school and high school there were plenty of situations where I needed to get into fights with people because they were being completely disrespectful to me and sometimes putting their hands on me. There were situations where people spit on me, put their hands on me and constantly disrespected me and I didn't fight back. These were situations where I needed to fight people and didn't because of that things got even worse. When I would tell the administration about the situations there was nothing they would do about it. I was afraid to get into fights with people and put my hands on them. I didn't grow up fighting with people and was nervous about getting into one. I was scared of the consequences as well like being suspended, expelled or written up. Since I didn't get into all of the fights I needed to with people they thought it was alright to disrespect me the way they did. How can I stop being afraid to fight when I need to and not be afraid of the consequences?
  5. I've been questioning my existence and why I was even born since I have now realized how bad and evil the world is. Their is a quote that I now believe to be so true since I see it everywhere in the world which is "To bear children into this world is like carrying wood to a burning house". The fact that I'm just one person out of 8 billion people and that my existence means nothing. The fact that it doesn't matter if I'm here. People die everyday and the world doesn't stop for them and the same thing will happen with me. Here are some things that have shown me how bad the world is 1. The Parkland Shooter who killed 17 people and who attempted to kill 17 more at Marjory Stoneman Douglas. 2. The Sandy Hook Elementary Shooter who killed 20 first graders and six employees at Sandy Hook Elementary then he killed himself. 3. The News literally talks about all the Tragedies every single day of other people who have died tragically whether that be from a murder, accident, disease or something else. 4. The fact that there are countless murders, rapist, robbers, looters and terrorist in the world and no matter how many individual you lock up it will never stop. 5. The fact that so many people can die young and the world doesn't stop at all it's just another tragedy. For example I saw on the news there were two young kids who went out onto frozen ice near there house. The ice broke and they died as their family members couldn't get to them in time. 6. The fact that there are countless mass shooters and evil people in this world who will kill anyone and not care. I just don't understand why I was born into this evil world.
  6. @Javfly33 Yeah that makes sense I didn't think about it like that actually.
  7. @Javfly33 Yeah I've heard that not watching the news can help. However isn't that like hiding from the bad things that are happening in life? Like if I avoid the news it's almost like I'm trying to avoid and hide from the bad things that are happening in this world.
  8. @Leo Gura Yeah it can be poisoning my mind to keep watching the news and media. Isn't the news and media the truth about what is going on in the world though? Like if the world really is tragic and life really is bad doesn't the news highlight and support that with facts everyday by what they report? The news talks about countless murders, accidents, suicides, mass shootings, serial killers and more tragedy's every single day. If I do the best I can to make my own life happy and meaningful, the news still supports the fact that life is a tragedy even when you try to do the best you can. I agree you should make your own life happy and meaningful but the news still shows that life is a tragic affair even when you try to. The news is almost highlighting and supporting with evidence every single day that the world is on fire.
  9. @royce Yeah I feel that it is a good representation of what is happening in the world when you have children honestly. It's like as soon as you have kids you just brought them in a messed up world where nobody cares about them there life and death won't matter much at all. Also, they will have to experience tragedy in this world like everyone else in some way shape and form. This world is so messed up and I feel like that quote is such a good representation of what you are doing when you have children.
  10. @Sabth Sadly it seems like a losing battle the world is already on fire anyway we are all just living through it.
  11. In this video Leo broke down Trump in spiral dynamics. In 1:21 of the video Leo also stated the fact that Trump doesn't care about anyone not even his own family members. I don't disagree with what Leo is saying. However my question is if politics is suppose to be about public service and serving the people if he doesn't care about anyone but himself then is he in politics just to have power and not actually to be a public servant? Is he running to be President just to have power and not actually be a public servant? What is the reason he is in politics and why is he running for president if he doesn't care about anyone but himself?
  12. I graduated and got my Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media. It's been about a year and three months since then and I still haven't been able to find a job in my field with my degree. I didn't have any internships while I was in college. I went back to school when I graduated and got a certificate in social media marketing to further my education to try and strengthen my resume. Also, I got a Digital Marketing Certificate online as well to build my resume. I don't know why I can't find a job in my field. I apply everyday on Indeed, Linkedin, Glassdoor and Handshake for the newest jobs available in my field. I have went on a lot of interviews but I still don't get offered a position. I don't know what to do as I have applied to hundreds of positions in my field and still haven't gotten a job. I was thinking about going back to get a Master's Degree but if I do I will probably get it in a more specialized field since my Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media is pretty broad. I would like some advice on what I can do to find a job in my field? Should I look at other job websites? What should I change?
  13. @Leo Gura Okay well my skills are in social media and marketing. So I can build a portfolio in social media and marketing by doing small personal projects to add to my portfolio? I can possibly do projects online on sites like canva to add to my portfolio then? Is this what you mean when you are talking about building a portfolio of small personal projects?
  14. @Nemra Is this in responses to what Leo said about building personal projects?
  15. @Nemra No I have currently just been applying for full time positions not internships yet.
  16. @Leo Gura Okay that makes sense. Well how do I actually get a position that way I am able to build a good portfolio of work? Do you mean getting internship? If you don't mean by getting an internship and by getting a regular position I feel like it's difficult because to get a good portfolio of work I have to get a position but I am having a hard time finding a position right now.
  17. I use to go out to bars with one of my friends regularly. We would usually go out on Fridays. However I haven't went out to bars with him in a while and that is because I am nervous about someone trying to start a physical confrontation with me and then I am going to have to really put my hands on someone. When I was going out to these places with my friend there were three different situations that I remember that happened. All three situations had to do with guys who had initiated some type of verbal confrontations with me and if I didn't have the wisdom to just walk away from all the situations with my friend like I did. They would have escalated into real physical fights with all three of these guys. I am also upset to because I feel like in these situations I had just walked away to avoid the confrontations but I didn't really stand up for myself verbally the way I wanted to. However that was only to avoid a physical fight with all three of these people so I didn't get into any legal trouble. All three of these situations had to do with some crazy, psycho dude and If I didn't just walk away like I did they would have escalated into physical fights. What should I do because I want to go out to bars still but I also don't want to get into a physical fight which is what I fear is going to happen.
  18. I had two different experiences in high school and in college. I went to a ghetto high school where most of the kids that went to the school came from very bad areas and they were poor. The ghetto kids at this school acted horrible. Below is a bulletpoint list of some of the things that would happen below at my ghetto high school with all the ghetto kids that went to it. They behaved very wild, crazy, aggressive and chaotic. Fights broke out constantly There was always chaos in the classrooms and this would stop all the learning that was happening constantly. Security had to be called into our classroom constantly because of confrontations that broke out The ghetto kids that went there were extremely, rude and disrespectful. They were hostile and always ready to fight They were very aggressive. I graduated and went to a college with people who came from different areas who came from more middle class and rich backgrounds they acted completely different. There wasn't always chaos and fights breaking out. The people that went to the college were more well behaved. I want to know why it is like this why do ghetto people behave so awful and horrible? Why do ghetto people cause so much chaos constantly?
  19. There is a quote by Peter Wessel Zapfee which says "To bear children into this world is like carrying wood to a burning fire". I completely agree with those quote because this world is just doomed. I would never want to bring a child into this world and let them have to experience all the pain and suffering people have to in this world. Everyone's life is a tragedy and I feel like no matter how hard you try you can't save anyone from the pain, suffering and tragedy they will experience in this world. Below is a list of some of the reasons I would never want to have children because I feel like this world is just completely screwed. 1. Murders, Rapes, Terrorists 2. Nicholas Cruz the Parkland Shooter who killed 17 people at school and all the other mass shooters who have killed so many people. 3. Everytime you go out there is a risk of something potentially happening like there have been so many people who have gotten into bar fights and have killed someone to only ruin their life. 4. Everytime you look on the news you see countless tragedies literally everyday of another person being murdered, killed in an accident, or some other tragedy happening literally everyday. 5. The fact that babies, teenagers and other people die young and tragic and the world still goes on no matter what. 6. The fact that everyone's life is tragedy and everyone goes through something traumatic that will change their lives forever. I truly never want to have kids because I see how bad and awful the world is. The fact is you truly are just bringing someone into a horrible world and it doesn't matter what happens to them because life will go on with any one person no matter what.
  20. You're missing my point me not wanting to have children has nothing to do with me not feeling confident in raising them. It has do the fact that the world is so horrible it doesn't matter how much you try to protect and save them they will go through a lot of pain and suffering because that is just how life is. It has nothing to do with me not feeling confident in raising them it has to do with the fact that the world is so bad things like what I mentioned in my original post could happen to them.
  21. That's true but it doesn't change the fact of how reality is. Their is so much suffering and pain that happens. Life is a very tragic thing to experience as everyone will go through something bad in life. No matter your situation that is the truth of life.
  22. @r0ckyreed Yeah because to me it's not about beliefs it's about truth. Everything I said in this post is what reality actually is.
  23. These ghetto kids I went to high school with would act like damn fools sometimes and it was actually scary to see how they would act. Like when they were upset they would start punching the school lockers with their first. Also, when they would be upset they would get into confrontations with people and they would start throwing chairs around the classroom and they had to be held back. It was honestly scary to see how these ghetto kids would behave sometimes. It was very intense and very scary at first but then overtime I became use to it because I regularly saw it.
  24. @bebotalk Yeah it's not about race at the ghetto school I went to there were white and hispanic kids who were acting the same way not just black kids. Ghetto isn't about race it's about the rough poor environments they grow up in. There were plenty of White and Hispanics kids at my school acting ghetto just like the black kids. So it's not a matter of race it's about the environment you are growing up in.
  25. @bebotalk Yeah you're right that is why I never mentioned race because it is not about race. At the high school I went to there were plenty of white and hispanic kids who were in the same ghetto environment and were acting the same way as the black kids there. That's why I didn't mention race because I know it's not a racial thing because at the ghetto school I went to other races like White and Hispanic kids were acting the same way not just the black kids.
