I really like how you put that, yeah. and I agree with your other point I really should have prefaced my whole thread by saying that unless someone has preexisting health conditions addiction issues or mental problems , they will probably be ok. But nobody has a static condition of good health. acknowledging inevitable Illness and death is one of the first principles of Buddhism. The way I was partying at 20 with uppers would put me at risk for psychosis or heart attack now. I was bulletproof, just doing stupid things with no consequences bc I had a resilient body and was an athlete. I use that word very loosely. In great shape at least. Very few people here are going to be tripping in their 40s and beyond, and most will just stop when their trips become more anxious and less pleasurable, so it’s really a moot point for most. they won’t know the cause they will just stop. If Leo’s problems( if he truly has any to be polite ) aren’t caused by acid they are worsened by it. Just the simple fact of how much energy the body uses each trip to return to homeostasis. You wouldn’t want to be fighting some illness and waste energy. When you’re sick you sleep you don’t run a marathon, to give a crude analogy

If he came out and said I have this health problem and I haven’t been using psychedelics to the degree you’re suggesting, I’d say “oh I’m wrong then, apologies. “ it’s also not that hard to use a lot. I only did it for a two year span but it wasn’t uncommon to do maybe eight tabs in a month. That’s very different than people who trip with their friends a few times a year. I’m talking at least a 500% increase over casual use. Almost everything can be used safely in moderation

There is rampant abuse in the pharmaceutical industry prescribing unnecessary drugs with debilitating side effects. Have you ever heard that the most likely explanation is usually correct ? And if you read my entire post I was identifying similarities in his behavior to other addicts. And no I don’t think there is another likely cause that is going to have all these seemingly drug induced side effects. honestly it seems like those words hit a little to close to home for you. yes I think that symptoms of lsd abuse are probably caused by lsd abuse? sorry I’m not trying to be rude but it is rare to have a good friend who was tripping like 3 times a month for 6 years straight. That gives me a unique viewpoint. Like oh this is exactly how he started acting before he got bad and they are doing virtually the same stuff.
