  1. thanks for the suggestions! Queens code looks great!
  2. I think it depends on why you are cracking jokes and the manner in which you did it. If everyone was always serious life would be lackluster but being a clown all the time is shallow. Sometimes I feel at my best when cracking jokes.
  3. When people speak this way to me... it communicates they dont know what they are talking about so they need to make it sound good. I have never been a fan of people who cannot have a humble convo There is a quote that Einstein said something like... if you cannot explain it SIMPLY you dont understand it.
  4. If you go to barnes and noble there are many to choose from!
  5. @Cat_eyes I am a woman on this forum and if you are a woman posting about dating men then you WILL get lots of responses on the forum. Dont look at it as being depressing being a woman. I think its about trade offs... and finding your power/strengths as a woman. I would never trade being a woman for being a man. @Leo Gura Those women with max value indeed are very rare... I see most women wanting just to be attractive, get married/kids and thats all they aspire to, they don't really need to be great humans its not required in our society. Not to say they are bad people but theres not a lot of deep work going into their lives. Myself i do want to get married and have kids but I also want to be as great a woman I can be as well as mastering my art in this life. Phyllis Diller was an old/first woman stand up comedian. Had lots of kids in early 20s. Started a comedy career in her 30s... for some reason I look up to her b/c she seemed as if she wanted kids but that she also didnt want her life to revolve around family forever... Kids move away eventually. Its important for women to also develop a life of their own even though most of their value to society is purely procreation...
  6. If a woman can generate a lot of value by developing herself, this value is not in being a leader or successful in business endeavors or being a visionary... What else would a woman's value be linked to? Say its 80% sexuality/reproduction value... what is that 20% if she develops herself to the max ?
  7. What should your net worth be by 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s+? I dont have much saved in cash saved in my IRA but I have a few rental properties, I plan on keeping them in my retirement days. My net worth has increased considerable since the past 2 years from these rentals.
  8. @Yarco - I agree with the rental properties being a substitute for a large IRA or 401k since they have tax advantages and they are less affected by inflation. If savings with a small return is all you have for investments you will get eaten alive by rising inflation. I think its good to have some IRA money stored away but I have been neglecting that and I feel as if I should have more but I get such crazy returns from rental property I dont feel inclined to beef up my IRA savings...
  9. Her: why did you say your going to kill my dogs? Him; Leave the house! Her: ok... I can but .. wait no I shouldn't have to leave b/c my dogs are here! LOL From a womans perespective... I have seen this before in friends I no longer talk to
  10. Property Management is still a good option as long as you find it meaningful and you enjoy it! Its an industry really in desperate need of good managers, leaders, and visionaries as this job is not easy and has lots of room for improvement. It can add positively to other peoples lives as well. As for me... Honestly I am not sure what I would like to do if money was not a need. This is a question I have asked myself for the past year now and I keep getting mixed signals/different answers.... I do have a few rental properties so I dont see my life continuing in a linear path in accounting but I do like the real estate industry but I also dont plan on being in an office all day either...
  11. Hypothetically, what would happen if no more children were ever created on this planet, on earth's last days like the movie Children of Men. In my opinion this seems to have a likelihood of happening, as many people today do not wish to have children and changes to the environment/global warming can affect a womans ability to get pregnant. Mass infertility due to pollutants, food, or something else unexplained seems to be the premise of the show A handmaids tale as well... My thought is that this may be a way humans will go extinct, not now but somehow in the future... Thoughts?
  12. family showing up to a basketball game/sports game of mine my mother taking half a day off just to make me breakfast on my birthday decorating the christmas tree and seeing all the ornaments I made on the tree my parents buying me a trip to spain when they didnt really have the money, my mother cried at the airport when I left... when I arrived back a week later she hugged me with lots of love I could tell she was overjoyed I made it back in one piece.
  13. Woah! I didnt know there were actual tests... I always wondered about that also. Knowing how well the Germans kept records, this makes sense. So under this mischling test I would not be welcomed into the gas chambers after all
  14. I dont think millennials will have much in terms of SS, buy assets so that you wont need it. Or save enough now so that you don't rely on the government. Also - I think there needs to be a more stringent process for SS, not everyone needs it when they are old. Only those who need it should be paid SS.
  15. Doing things as a team will deepen your bond
  16. Do you have a link to this video? I agree the corporate world is not a feminine place... I feel the least like a woman at the workplace hehe.
  17. @Ethan1 I am a Senior Accountant at a property management company and I can tell you its pros and cons: Pros- lots of opportunity/jobs, good salary/benefits, cushy, flexible, Cons- boring, not meaningful, cog in the wheel type of work, in an office all day, sitting at a desk makes for an unhealthy lifestyle, can be VERY stressful and lead to an unhealthy lifestyle or work/life unbalance Personally, I dont plan on doing this type of work forever. I am buying rentals and want to diversify my income streams with rentals, salary, and stocks so I can leave accounting world before too long!
  18. Green tea is a good alternative to coffee, it has more antioxidants and keeps your teeth white!

  20. LOL.. What a Homer I am 23andme Jewish I tell people jokingly... I am 1% Jew .. we are kin Oh.. and I forgot to mention my name is Sarah and I have curly hair... another percentage Jew there lol
  21. Maybe wake up an hr or half hr early to do the LP course? I did it for the values assessment mainly and I got a lot out of just that.
  22. I am also in accounting, I make what I would consider a good pay and my job is chill. I have worked both ends of the accounting world, chilled accounting and very non-chilled lol. Its important to choose a good work life balance and get the largest salary you can. That way you will have more headspace and energy for side projects that can take off. I also invest in real estate. I own airbnb cabins and a long term rental. I plan on buying a property each year and thus far it has been great, learning a lot and its profitable without a ton of my time. My plan is fulltime job for the next 3 years, real estate, and a side project/business of some kind... havent yet figured that piece out yet!
