Really depends on what is accessed. First thing is to really find out what the pain is. So, what do you have there? The general rule is: all pain will dissipate eventually through mindfulness. But it is stacked in layers, in most cases. But depending on where you are at right now, there are different approaches to address it. Sometimes moods are overlapped with energies. Sometimes beliefs (limiting beliefs or misconceptions) will hold pain in place even though you dissipated it previously. Therefore they reappear. Find the limiting belief. Sometimes the pain comes from a shock (like someone you loved died in an accident or you find out that your partner was cheating on you, or you find out that someone you believed it is a total fraud). Sometimes the pain is physical and rooted in an accident or a real disease, toothache you name it. (Here you will need medical treatment, depending on how severe the illness or pain is) Sometimes the pain is just an misalignment of energies. Here some yoga practise could help, like Pranayama or Nadi Sodhana. So you need really to be aware of what is there. There is, as said before, not a cookie cutter way to approach all things in the same manner. When you know what it is that is there, you have better chances to find relief. Kind regards, Chris

How? This really depends on what level of realization you are in. There are many different layers of suppressed pain. There is no "one-size-fits-all" answer to it.

Hello Aladdin, It sounds to me, that something happened after 8-9 months that triggered the previous "way of thinking". This can have an array of reasons, here are just from the top of my head: you met somone from the time before your "awakening" and this experience triggered the "old you" (for example because he/she wasn't convinced that you changed, or wasn't appreciating your new way of being) Somehow you came to the conclusion that you can't hold on to your "new you", for some reason or the other, something happened that you didn't expect could happen again. There are many more possibilities what could have happened. If none of the above, please check yourself what it was that happened right before you lost your "new found state" or (if that sounds better to you) "new way of being". The good news is, you can recover it. Like @Henri said, it would be good if you tell a little bit about your practise. What you have done so far. Your age. Also: what happened before your "new you" emerged? Have you changed location? Or have you changed the environment (though still living in the same place)? Or have you used any practise what so ever? Read an enlightening or inspiring book that resonated with you? ~Chris

Hello @Newpaz If you think this, chances are you don't know what a sociopath really is. The book above has good insights for you. It will change the way you think about the subject, and yourself. I agree. Every technology is a two edged sword. Kind regards, Chris -
Where is this comming from? You should embrace science but also see it's current limitations. Science is very much a dogma. See this video: Enlightenment can't be proven scientifically. It neither objective nor subjective. But you could scientifically prove some of the workability of different spiritual practices. And it is being done from time to time. One interesting Book is "Buddhas Brain". But, for what it's worth: don't wait for proof or evidence from "authorities". When it works for you it works for you. Use it. Let that be your evidence. ~Chris

The problem is, there are always some people in the power structures of the society who don't want the world to be a happy place. They would lose too much if people were well, healthy and happy. You don't need to look too far to find your own examples for it. Additionally, bad food, bad education systems, misinformation, wars (motivated by greed and fear) keep the populations on a low level. It's designed that way so you don't even dare to find out who you really are, who your neigbours really are, the people your government goes into war with are and the list goes on. Actually we live in very interesting times. The speed of communication, the possibility to connect to almost everyone, bypass the propaganda machine of of governments brings us into a very new position. We can unveil the lies, see through them, connect to likeminded people and communicate and share what we've found. And this alone raises the collective understanding of what is actually going on with the human race. It's not that humans are not capable of peace and high counsciousness. The only weak point is, people are gullible and abide to authority. My 2 cents (for what it's worth) ~Chris P.S. This book has some good answers why it is that way and what it needs to change that: http://www.actualized.org/forum/topic/2848-book-the-sociopath-next-door-martha-stout-1010/ -

Cool! I could write on and on, but need to do some meditation now. I think we both know where each of us is coming from, so let's stop talking about the obvious for now. :-) Kind regards, Chris -

@SkyPanther Was this a response to me or The Village? :-) All of life is a process. That's very true from my perspective. And all we humans do is some kind of process (every doing-ness or activity is a process with an outcome). If we comprehend what we are doing, we will process it in the direction of desired outcome. If we can continuously process something to the desired outcome, we speak of mastery of the subject. Liberation is the ultimate goal of many traditions and many paths. Many different backgrounds. Many different belief systems as to what is supposed to happen and how it will happen and which is the best way to bring about the final dissolution. One thing is for sure, what you resolve today, you won't need to resolve tomorrow. What you comprehend today, won't confuse you tomorrow. Buddhism for me is, behind all the beautiful traditions that came from its influence, a very practical approach. With very practical advice, practice and explenations. It's very limited (or so it seems compared to many earlier traditions), as Gautama refused to talk about specific subjects. He wanted to keep it as simple as possible. With as little distraction to the disciple as possible. To many people with a buddhist background, unfortunatly, have little appreciation to the beauty of existence. It's another black/white strategy. I want away from the black, therefore it doesn't interest me at all, I want only the white. It's a kind of denial and it doesn't feel good, especially when you talk to people who have no spiritual background. They could think it's a very sad point of view. Of course it's true. Desire is the root of dukkha. But does every desire end in dukkha? No. Some of the best insights one can gain come from sheer involvement with the universe around. Agree absolutly. It's a long road until the "hide and seek" turns into "Aha! Aha!". I'm glad if you entered this stream. Kind regards, Chris -
I'm grateful for all the sages, wise man and geniuses who shared their knowledge and technology for the benefit of all.

Some people will. An it's their right. But it will serve them only to a certain level. One can not rise above certain levels without leaving behind sectarian (let alone secular) indoctrination. Yes, but here he referes to a certain degree of spiritual maturity, not as a generalisation for people who come from distinct areas of the world. But we digress :-) Coming back to "labels", "words", "definitions", "superimpositions", "misrepresentations". Having a good, precise vocabulary increases clarity in the fields of your engagement (be it secular or spiritual). It increases Right View, Right Speach, Right Concentration. @SkyPanther I totally follow you. But you see, the utterane in the quote: Who is he to decide that? You see? He is not the originator of the Teaching. As for "The Greater Discourse on the Simile of the Heartwood" You need to understand (and I'm sure you know it already), the Buddhists scriptures, The Pali Suttas and other texts have been written some time after the good man passed away. So how do we know what interpretations have found their way into the transmission? From my current perspective, you can play any game without clinging to the outcome. You can use any game to reduce your urge to cling to the outcome. You can be very successful without clinging to the outcome. You can be very influential without clinging to the oucome. You can spread the Dharma without clinging to the oucome. You can reduce suffering and enhance well being all around you, without clinging to the outcome. You can live, without clinging to the outcome. You can be exited about and interested in the outcome, without clingling to the outcome. Interest is not equal to clinging. Grasping is not clinging. It's a trap to tell people that living life is contrary to their spiritual development. It produces a kind of guilt and is really a wrong indication. Instead it is better to educate them in the basics of the teachings, what clinging really means, why it does produce suffering, how they can manage to overcome their greedyness, hate and anger. What metta is and what it will do for their own well being and those they're connected to. These are practical laws of existence. My friend, I could write all night, but I need some sleep now. Kind regards, Chris -

@SkyPanther From my perspective: The reason the games ever become tiresome is because one is trapped in something. Suffering, dukkha, comes from attachment primarly. Some people attach to old traditions, trends... can't let go, because they associate themselves so strongly with it, they think they're gonna die... Comprehension is the only way to really let go of misrepresentations. Yes, of course, but that's how sects differ from each other. In any event, it always helps in spiritual progress when one to some degree commits to the enhancement of well being of others (which translates to reduction of suffering). Why it works is because with this attitude you radiate higher moods and good intentions all over the place. Even if you don't say or do much. The reason why I quit Buddhism (association with it) is because many take the tradition more seriously than the teaching and take the teaching often too literal (instead of conceptual). At some point I decided to let go of it. They're lost in tradition and consequently superimpose their "culture" and "interpretation" over the teaching. I don't say it's worthless. I only think it was not meant that way by the source of the teaching. I don't know how deep you are rooted in Buddhism, but I think you understand what I am talking about. Kind regards, Chris -

I wouldn't say that. I would rather say, the Buddhist path is for people who want to reduce (or end) suffering. (Some commit to a boddhisattva vow, going deeper into the game, expanding their own "burden" to all the sentient beings.) Lot's of suffering is comming from the misuse of words and lots more from the misunderstanding of them. I think you can be very awaken and still enjoy life and relationships. Not necessarily, really. The reason beings are stuck in Samsara is because they misdefine and mislable their surroundings in particular and the existence in general. They live in their own creation, superimposing their misunderstandings on everything around them. They keep on misrepresenting what is there with what they superimpose on top of it. Kind regards, Chris -

Yes, very good. I observed people for a long period of time and I found that people with a greater and more precise vocabulary are more successful and have better people-skills, more firends and better relationships. Because they understand, they can better relate. As Socrates once said: "The beginning of wisdom is the definition of terms." +1 Kind regards, Chris -

In general the thing is what the thing is. Words and labels have their use when we communicate with others. But why should I communicate in the form of words with ME? Just being present and aware will do the job of permeating the scene or the object. Sometimes words are useful in a kind of "creative selftalk" and some kinds of "visualisations", though. Edit: And of course in interactions with others. It's important to have a sound vocabulary in the fields you engage in. Kind regards, Chris -
Welcome! :-)

Isle of View replied to likhil's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Thank you @likhil Now I see... What about local support in your area? Is there a place you can go? A teacher, a guru? This will serve you more in your situation than talking about it in detail on a forum. I hope you can handle the situation with your mother, so you can meditate freely at your own pace. Or move some place where you will connect to people who are likeminded. Kind regards, Chris -

Isle of View replied to likhil's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@likhil I understand. But I actually was asking: "can you recollect which practice(s) you've used at that time?" more precisley, which practice caused you to go into the state "beyond any imagination - everything exist becoz I exist". As you have written here: with: What caused this? and the other questions from above: ~Chris -
Isle of View replied to likhil's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Hello @likhil , Thank you. You answered my question: with: can you recollect which practice(s) you've used at that time? what happened after that so you lost this ascended state? Was it the fear of lost forever that caused you to abandon that state? How did your environment react to your "excitement" about this state? (if there was such a situation.) Was it after this situation that you never really came into "normal living mode" again? Kind regards, Chris -
Isle of View replied to likhil's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No one said bis mother is dismissing him. Read carefully. @likhil himself said this: and this: And that's where my propositions have been based on. Please stop to continously malign my well ment contribution. It's getting ridiculous by the day. And with this behavious you're creating an atmosphere where it becomes a pain in the ass to reach out to others and have some constructive communication. 2 threads have been closed because of your inability to control your urge to attack others (for no obvious reason). Within the last 3 days. Please stop. Kind regards, Chris -
Isle of View replied to likhil's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
First of all, when you live in an environment where people dismiss your spiritual (and even mundane) development, your chances for progress are next to nil. You can't rise bigger when you are continuously in a hiding mode. You need to work on your integrity: owning your path, your truth and freedom of choice. You will need to talk to your mother why you feel that what you're doing is important for you. Maybe she means you're supposed to do something significant from her point of view. Maybe there are certain familiar obligations waiting for you and you don't want to stand up to them. Try to resolve those issues. Otherwise your progress will always be in danger. Regarding the other isse. You say you're meditating so much without progress. Yes, one part of the problem is what I wrote above. But please tell me, which meditation practice are you using most of the time? how long do you meditate (since when)? was there a time when you were happy with your meditation and your progress? when was that? Kind regards, Chris -

Thank you very much for more insight, @Henri. Yes, absolutely agree. Though all the bodies correspond with another - influencing each other -, they're build up hierarchically, from top down (physical body being the "junior"). Yes, the first part of the above quote is actually that which I already knew when I chimed in into the conversation. The second part however was the missing link for me. I will need some time and research to really understand why it is said that these issues are really irreparable. I know, that I don't know. :-) Thanks Henri, I really appreciate your input.
