  1. @Mohsinuddin Maybe instead of thinking in terms of "self-help" or "self-development" you could change your perspective and start thinking in terms of personal expansion. You have tools for self inquiry and release techniques to unlock your own limitations and also you have a lay-out of your (professional) goals. Concentrate on your goals instead on your "imperfections". In this way you will see where you stumble upon limitations that you then need to handle. This is a much better approach in my opinion. Write down your goals and go for it. Remove your limiting beliefs as you go and empower the positives you've already mastered, and acknowledge the achievments you've already made. ~ Chris
  2. Makes sense, as you change your vibrational attitude towards the task at hand.
  3. Because it seems more interesting to attach our attention on something than not doing it. You recognize that you're holding on and let-go. Chris
  4. I live in Poland, but lived in Germany for many years and maybe will move back there, as my life-partner is German. [Ich spreche auch Deutsch sehr gut und gerne ;-)] Chris
  5. By changing how you see them. Maybe they're just fine and you try to scuplture them in your image, and by doing it, are neglecting their own uniqueness, beauty etc. See them as they are and listen to them. Soon you may find that they are just like they are and that's ok to let them be as they are. Often also we despise in others what we are dispising in ourselves.
  6. @Sigma, from my perspective it may be different from person to person. This because, allthough the underlying energy pathways may be the same in any system, their current balance may be different for each individual. Sometimes the inhibiting energy sits right in my face, sometimes on the left-side of my head. Sometimes even the sensation is as though outside the delineation of the physical body. Having said that, I think the sensation you feel and where you feel them is your current scenario. You see, in an optimum situation we would be in flow all the time. I don't start by Lethargy when I go into meditation or into my process setting. When that's the case it means I let slide my practive for too long already, alowing the odds of life to impact my integrity (wholeness) all too much. See, mastery is something that needs to be continously worked on. It's like in nature, you need to continously take care of your garden if you want it to be in a certain shape and form. If you don't use it, you may loose it (and that's why all masters in all fields practice continously.) Therefore, don't expect anyone to be in Lethargy or Grind. Maybe they are somewhere higher. Not necessarily in flow, but higher than Grind. There are some interesting Mood and Conciousness Scales on the internet. One is from the guy who initiated the Sedona Releasing Method, Lester Levenson, another is from David Hawkins. There are others you can easily find on the internet. (Maybe we could make a list of all of them once.) The first book I know that spoke of such a scale (levels of consciousness) in the western world was "The Kybalion". (But there may be older ones.) The Book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill speaks about a "planes" beyond space and time, as does the book by Alan C. Walter "The Secrets to Increasing Your Power, Wealth and Happiness - How to be in the Zone" (which is one of the most insightful reads I ever had). I think it is very helpful to study some of those scales and to learn to use them and to know where we are at at a given moment or in different areas, when we are to master the fields and practices we are engaged in. Kind regards, Chris
  7. Agree, Leo. @Sigma You make some good points and it is important to use our senses to know where we're at. Our subtle energies are connected to our moods, emotions, attitudes and we can use them as a guiding system to stay on track. Speaking of Mastery: the more truth in an area, the less confusion. We can face the task at hand and can stay in the present moment in the area (no flinching away, no fears, no doubts) able to permeate all its parts. Flow for me is always accompanied by a feeling of contentment. Agree, but also, there are many states in between (as also above Flow and below Lethargy). But generally, yes. Chris
  8. The problem with positive affirmations is, people tend to put them on top of their previously adopted negative affirmations (limiting beliefs, limiting and wrong definitions, preconceptions etc.) Let's first see, what the word "to affirm" means by dictionary definition: When you want to do positive affirmations (on habbits, attitudes or what ever it may be), you need to address the negative first and remove it. There are good techniques to address those limiting beliefes. Note: our toughts and beliefs are senior to our actions and habbits. When you screw up in your activities and want to change it, there is a limiting belief about your abilities, your identity or the role you play in that particular field. Therefore, look what you want to change; find the limiting belief and make it fully known; now change it by visualising a more optimum scenario. Commit to this last thing. Formulate a positive affirmation if you still need to. This may take some time, but the most important step is to really decide what it is that is not optimum, the thing you want to upgrade. And then find your limiting beliefs there. Often there are more then one. Sometimes you also may find people in this area making less of you or your abilities (sometimes they are long gone, but take all of it into consideration when you really want to upgrade your scenario.) Chris
  9. @Helge this is a sign of perfectionism. Can you get the time when you decided you need to look perfect in order to be good enough? Was there someone in the background who convinced you you're not worth anything unless you're perfect? Or something that resulted in your decision to "must look perfect". Chris
  10. @asgard94 you make an important point in your OP. The western culture has no tradition of spiritual truth seeking as it is the case in, say, India, Native America or Australia... Therefore the risk to "get lost" in the process is more likely than in an environment where the spiritual plane is common language (of the tradition). We live in a time of global inter-connection and many traditions come together all at once. There actually IS a risk in this. But also it is a general Paradigm Shift of our time. All the knowledge of all times is right under you fingertipps. You will need discipline to look up words you don't understand fully, look them up anew when used in a different context or by another Tradition. All the traditions and systems generally are "languages" to convey the ultimate or help you get there. Of course, take care of your finances and your well-being. Your body, mind and the identities (ego or call it whatever you like) you wear are just tools in this game on this very physical plane. Spirituality can help you to upgrade your components (identities, abilities, dreams and goals) but you are right, it IS a two-edged sword. I've know people who had big ascension experiences (really really high states) only to crash soon after. They felt so huge and "invincible"... You know the old saying: "When you think you're enlightened, go visit your family for a week". :-D And yes, we all need to define for ourself what we are after in this "road to enlightenment". The delusions, weak moments, confusions and all this, however, is inevitable on this path. That's for sure. As we undo our delusions and suffering, we of course run right into them. Keep the faith. Honor the truth you've found already. And don't argue with people who do not appreciate your endavour. Make it a private thing. Commit to your own awakening and align only with the type of person who is interested himself or is in it already. Kind regards, Chris
  11. @Ayla can you actually remember this satsang? I tried to find it again some time ago, but to no avail. Cool if you could help me find it. Chris
  12. @Ayla Thank you for sharing your Mooji experience. He has a uniqueness about him I really appreciate. Can you remember of one of his statsangs where he was talking about Goals and the Resistance associated with them? Something to the effect of: as you set something to be achieved you will run into all the resistance and as soon as the goal is reached, the resistance (or maybe he used the word tension) will dissipate instantly. It was already some years ago that I watched it, but it was profound. It could help many people to understand why goals and purposes are a two-edged sword and why many traditions propose not to clinge to the outcomes of your doings. Kind regards, Chris
  13. @JevinR It seems you are caught in some perfectionism. Is there / was there someone in the background who made less of you and your only "solution" to it, is becoming perfect? Watch out, this is a trap.
  14. "Watch out what you wish for." That's the advice one should follow. Why? Because the Law of Attraction is that powerful. ;-)
  15. @Vaishnavi don't beat yourself up too much I think you're doing fine. Look at the list of all the things you do already. It's awesome. My little advice is this: listen to your Little Voice inside. What does it tell you? Sometimes it's better to be still for a moment and listen inside. Loosen up the inner tensions and let the answer unfold. Kind regards, Chris
  16. As long as we are involved in any type of game, we will run into disagreements, non-acceptance and consequently into resistance. Even if only for an instant. We are in the realm of space-time here. The Higher Self is beyond it. It is through our involvment in the games of the space-time that we are prone to suffer. Telling someone, "hey, awake, you don't need to suffer, just let go, you are already enlightened" is the same as telling him "hey, stop existing in the space-time". :-D To someone who is deeply involved in the s*it he created such proposals are nothing more than a joke. See, it's through our choice to involve into the game that we acculmulate "stuff" and identify with it. It's an ongoing process. To remove it all at once by hearing the magic words "hey, you're enlightened, you just don't realize it" is a pipe dream. :-D Chris
  17. I would amend this quote to: "We have the potential to know everything. We just neglect it.." Kind regards, Chris
  18. The video is very cool indeed. There is one thing to consider about "acceptance" and "letting go" and one of the gentlemans put it well. But he forgot to mention the first question of the Sedona Method, which is: "Could you allow this thought/concept/emotion/whatever to be here as it is? (if only theoretically?)" In the moment you let it closer in to inspect it, before you give the answer, you lessened resistance to this thing already. This is a letting-go of resistance. This is actually the magic why this question and all of the Sedona Methods work. See, in order to look at or sense something, you need to let it in. The moment you "can't have" the thing, that's where the resistance is born and what causes the thing to "float around", uninspected, scratching on your attention. That's why it feels so "unwanted". With this Method you open attention up to the "thing" instead of using your attention to resist the "thing". Then, you can inspect the thing (sometimes you will need to baby-step the "big thing" by processing smaller parts of it first). The first question "Could you allow this thought/concept/emotion/whatever to be here as it is? (if only theoretically?)" is actually a very important one. What we are actually doing with the process is letting-go of the resistance. The lack of resistance is acceptance. This doesn't mean you don't want to do anything about it, but it means, you can have it either way. I hope this is of some use. Chris
  19. I think many blind people have a much better sense of "space" than people who use their eyes for it. Also, they are in a constant "actuality update mode" and need to be constantly in present time in order to sense their environment, whereas people who see through their eyes often don't look really in the moment. To the general question on enlightenment: it really depends on what your definition of enlightenment is. For many it is a multi-life-time project. It also depends, of course, on the willingness of the individual. Even "normal" people, athletes with good brains and bodies and without any mental problems will be unable to reach something when there is no intention to do so. Generally, yes, they are capable of enlightenment - but the realization may take some time. And then again, it also depends on the definition (read: expectation). My perspective Chris
  20. Very good my friend. And keep in mind: you are a spiritual presence with great capabilities. All best, Chris
  21. Hello Muhammad, well done! I'm glad you found it out. What about the anxiety your wrote about before. Is it different now? Can you see what you can do to upgrade your own qualities?
  22. Just do the exercise and let's see how you feel, ok? There are many things you can do afterwards, but first do this. :-)
  23. Good. Just keep doing the exercise until you're fine with Hamza. You will see, as you are continuing with the exercise, more and more "labels", "superimpositions", "images" etc. will come to view. Maybe he reminds you of another person or a social group etc. Just look at the answers, and ask again over and over again. From time to time you can also ask: "How does this person (e.g. Hamza) seem to me now?" (every 5 questions) And then again 5x the question "What does this person represent to me?" Kind regards, Chris
  24. I have a small exercise for you, if you like: Ask yourself over and over again the following question: "What does this person represent to me?" Look at the answer in your mind and as soon as you have the answer, ask the question again. Don't jump from one person to another person. Do it with one specific person at a time. Do it, until you are satisfied. You may recognize something for yourself that you haven't thought about before. Let me know how it worked in case you try. If you have questions, let me know. Chris
