  1. As most of us here probably have, I have experienced both being paralytic drunk and hungover, as well as having had a mystical experience (no self and other). What is unusual is that being drunk to that degree feels closer to death. Mystical experiences are very sober while being THAT wasted is like drifting in and out of our (self-mind) consciousness. I can't imagine that the destruction of the brain is as sober as a DMT breakthrough trip. I imagine it is more "out of it" like being blackout hungover, puking, barely conscious. Or perhaps general anaesthesia. What goes on post-death from our perspective? It would just be a general anaesthetic effect right? Not like we the self-mind experience a sober DMT or 5-MeO type trip where we are fully aware as we are sucked back up a vortex into the Godhead. What exactly happens from our self's point of view do you think?
  2. We observe the lives of these minds right? And it would appear these minds tend to enjoy pleasure and happiness, and have an aversion to pain and depression. They may also enjoy substances... I wouldn't say my mind enjoys alcohol, but my mind is anxious and it helps it in social situations. My mind likes to defend the "person" who isn't even really there (because a "person" is simply content of experience that morphs continuously, knock knock nobody's home). It's irrational fears, like people afraid of tiny spiders. You can logically know something and yet.......
  3. But you're more "with it". Your self mind is not blinking in and out of consciousness as it is when blackout. Or tbh not just drink but really ill, maybe after a severe accident as well. I've experienced MANY states of self-mind consciousness, I've been anaesthetized, delirious with encephalitis, knocked unconscious by a fall down escalators and then drifting in and out while paramedics rescued me... Etc etc etc... Psychedelic ego death is very sober and coherent. If the mind is disintegrated I don't know that it would be coherent. I imagine it would be less coherent and closer to being seriously injured in a car crash or blackout etc.
  4. Being severely drunk and hungover feels closer to actual death. When I've taken a good amount of DMT it feels more like a curtain lifts off of reality, it's like a sober death. Blackout drunk feels like I'm drifting in and out of consciousness and like I could blink out of existence entirely. No coherence or clear-headedness. It does not then feel as though there is anything that will continue. Of course, consciousness remains observing other minds. But it does not feel as though, for example, an "Atman" rejoins Brahman (infinite consciousness). More like whatever this is just straight up snuffs out.
  5. Doesn't matter whether it's bufo or arsenic, if Mind is all there is, then all alterations of the self-mind are valid.
  6. Anatta is very confusing, regarding actual death. Advaita Vedanta makes it like "duh" tier easy. But Buddhism is probably more accurate.
  7. Hope there's good safety info on it. That's the only element I feel iffy about with 5.
  8. I've never before seen someone criticized as heavily and as frequently as Leo is. Lmao.
  9. Changa is very different in my experience. It felt more playful and giggly, it feels closer to a classical psychedelic but not really... 4-HO-MET felt similar to it... Freebase DMT feels menacing. I don't often enjoy it when a real serious freebase trip starts.
  10. Fun, curiosity Everyone is a Buddha in death. Really, everyone is a Buddha right now to be technical. Actually there isn't any way to NOT be or to escape it. What we do is merely tune this experiential bubble of thought, memory, emotion, in such a way as to bring it closer to realizing formlessness. It is funny. There isn't actually any persistent mind-self so that version of us dies and is enlightened constantly, and the real self is ALWAYS enlightened. So it is only really a tiny brief slice of happening that we try to enlighten and it's enlightened by dying before we can even register it...
  11. Dude fuck LSD tbh. I'm on the verge of flushing all psychedelics apart from DMT. These fuckers just last too long. Tripping for 8 hours with body load etc? It sucks. Get into a deep meditative state then inhale a very small hit of DMT. Threshold dose. Keep your eyes closed and continue the same exact practice. You only need the feeling and perception shift. It will take you VERY far when it kicks. If you smoke too much the trip takes over and you lose any agency. These threshold amounts are awesome.
  12. This is schizophrenia, but who knows what exists in the infinite abyss? However there is something important to remember, which is that it is literally impossible for any demon, angel, or God to destroy you. Because EVERYTHING is fundamentally "the Tao". Your mind can be tormented but find solace in that fact. You are untouchable.
  13. I find in-ear headphones with typical meditative flute music very useful. Specifically because you can't find exactly where in your mind the sound is actually happening. You can consciously move the sound around your mind... Because it's not actually happening in any place.
  14. It is an important endeavour for the mind-self and its relative "quality of life". Disattachment from form can be liberating in many arenas. Especially self blame and acceptance. Not dwelling on the past. Most people dwell there. And in the anticipated future.
  15. There's only one thing truly, and that thing does not judge etc. it just is. Judging and thinking is what appears to it. Plus in total ego death all of your sins and good deeds vanish as there's no person anymore. So yeah.
  16. No, what appears to be a brain is experienced subjectively by that brain as a mind, which is the content of awareness: Sights, sounds, taste, thought, emotion, memory. All content of your mind is experienced by the same awareness. All content of ALL minds is experienced by the same awareness. Shut off the mind and that particular limited self ends. The awareness which you are remains observing other minds etc as it always has. Your awareness IS my awareness and IS the awareness of all experience that ever happens. You wrote this post on my mobile screen and you read it on your computer screen (or whatever). But your limited mind did not have that experience of writing on my mobile, just as your eyes do not experience sound and yet the same exact awareness observes both sight and sound. The same thing that looks through my eyes right now is the same thing that looks through yours. One "I" experiencing many minds. That is termed as Brahman and is all things that are.
  17. I'm trying to understand your thoughts. But it seems you think for example, the consciousness in your family crying at your funeral is not the same as the one you experience. It's not a different consciousness,: "Same I different eyes" hehe. The same exact singular boundless awareness experiencing itself through different minds (not due to any desire or design IMO, but via a natural and necessary mechanism). Your mind is one of the temporary things appearing to awareness. When it goes away, like when a thought goes away, you the true self awareness remains. You are not the mind. You are the awareness. The mind and all things are that awareness. You see?
  18. If it didn't remain then what do you think it is that's mourning at your funeral?
  19. Deep sleep for what though? Feel an emotion or have a thought then let the thought or emotion leave and change into a different one. From the thought's perspective if it had one, it might be like "before I came there is eternal deep sleep and after I go away there is eternal deep sleep". We realize though that awareness exists in its absence and we are it. The mind will go away but that's just a temporary appearance exactly as a thought or emotion is. Awareness will remain, and that's what you really are.
  20. Why would it be different if the same awareness perceives it through the same mind? It is like asking why everything looks tinted orange when you put on orange sunglasses and not randomly blue or green.
  21. When not perceived an elephant or your own body looks the same as how infrared light flying round your room looks to you right now.
  22. Notice how seeing is happening right now? Seeing is something appearing to awareness. Now hit a gong or something and hear sound while seeing sight. Two different things appearing to the same awareness... Your mind is also something appearing to awareness. Your mind stops but awareness doesn't. You are all people. But you can't expect your mind to know or be aware of experiences you are having when it is not there to see them. Like how your eyes aren't aware of sound and your ears aren't aware of light.
  23. The UK cops don't care about me using DMT?
  24. Not a fucking CHANCE lmaoooo.
