  1. @Nahm Not at all, that is fundamentally what the entire contention is about. If it's "The Egg" type Solipsism where, essentially, the life of every living thing is being had by you, I have not seen any nondual teacher ever contend that. The contention is about whether as said, if pain happens if I shot you in the foot, or if there is no pain at all, like if I set fire to a plank of wood.
  2. This says absolutely nothing at all about whether you think I am seeing this screen or not. I know if I punch myself right now I feel pain. I could do it right now. If I put a chainsaw through your leg, however, no pain would be felt as far as I can tell: Either when I saw your leg off the pain does not happen at all, or it happens and I am the one to feel it. There is the clear difference and absolutely nobody will clarify their position on it at all, probably because they aren't sure. Either it's somewhat like The Egg (Andy Weir), or it's more like you're just NPCs and I can chop you into pieces and know I'm not causing any pain.
  3. This is just Leo videos dude, lol. Nobody is discussing what you think they're discussing. The whole solipsism contention is exactly what I said, it's whether you think I'm lying to you about seeing right now or not. That is what people are concerned with... I'm curious as to Leo's thoughts on that, that is what he will not clarify at all. I think he is unsure on that matter.
  4. That is every single nondual teaching though, that is not anyone's contention with solipsism... Else those people would be Christians or something (even Materialism is non-dual as far as I know). The contention is whether you believe, as per example, whether I am actually seeing my mobile screen or if I'm just a cardboard cutout lying to you. That is the what people mean by it.
  5. You realize that what you are saying makes people think you and I are cardboard cutouts. I can say I am seeing this mobile phone, but what you are saying makes OP believe I'm lying about that and it's not happening. That is of course very very different from it happening but OP being the one having that sight. I'm not sure if you are wanting to commit to one. I don't see a conflict in the latter, I would think in infinity it would be certain tbh, that this me would eventually (using linear time to imagine this) be the "cardboard cutout" experiencing me say/do the same exact things from the perspective of another person. It doesn't seem problematic to me.
  6. I've noticed that DURING very intense "mystical experiences", thoughts stop entirely, such that you aren't interpreting what's happening. It's just happening, period. I've found generally that if there is any thought it is more instinctive feelings like maybe a fixation about not breathing. In the past I've had ideas like trying some Buddhist type chanting while smoking DMT. And I find that as it hits more and more I start finding it very difficult to continue chanting and then eventually just go "hmm......." and fall totally silent. Surely all heavy breakthrough trips are thematically the same when there is ego death etc. But then when back, we all necessarily interpret that experience. Probably why Buddhist and Hindu sages teach different "truths" despite surely having gone through the same experience. Every person like Leo is communicating interpretation, because you can't communicate experience (like you can't make a blind person see red). Most interpretations diverge into being very similar. But I do wonder if any interpretation can be accurate... I experienced emptiness first hand (where I became literally nothing - think like, being an eye trying to see itself, but the eye isn't even made of anything), and also the experience where the self vanishes entirely and there is only experience, and I can see how this could be interpreted as the self not existing, not just being substantially made of nothingness... Experiences are absolutely true in terms of the fact they are happening (and even a "false" experience IS an experience which is happening), and I know with intense clarity what I experienced and what things are certainly true. But how does one be certain that the thoughts which kick in after the fact are accurate?
  7. You are not talking about ego level imagination are you? But the same level of imagination that imagines the laws of physics and the inability to start flying around in the sky by flapping our arms.
  8. IMO because he isn't sure if you are currently seeing, or if you're basically a cardboard cutout, so doesn't want to commit to a firm position. Of course, if humans had no memory function at all, there'd be as much proof you were seeing 5 seconds ago as there is that another living being is seeing and is not just a robot lying to you.
  9. That's very different, actually if someone doesn't think that, it's not even "non-duality", so the thread isn't talking about that.
  10. Then who was phone? I think Leo may be uncertain as to whether your inner experience is happening, hence not really being clear about it.
  11. @Tim R The headspace where delusion is impossible is something we have been in (most due to heavy psychedelics I think?) but it then fades back to sobriety. When I think about heavy breakthrough trips, during the trip, there wasn't really any thought going on whatsoever. Writing about the trip after sobering up is where thoughts and such took place. It can be quite difficult to separate the actuality of the content of these transcendent type experiences from logical interpretation. I text people right after like "I just met God" (there was no being, it's just my feeling at the time), or write on reports I "visited heaven".
  12. @Leo Gura "No" is correct during the trip/experience/non-experience (people will use different words, all meaning the same thing). After the fact, there are varying reports which roughly diverge, but aren't 1:1. If 100 people go to a Bufo ceremony and smoke a release dose, you'll get 100 different reports which do converge into conveying "Oneness", but there are slight differences... If I implanted the exact trips I have experienced into your brain, you may come back and post something different as compared to how I would try to word it. Though more or less attempting to somehow get at the same sort of thing.
  13. I know about those things. Schrödinger is one of us, very into the Vedas. With the slit experiment, observer does not necessarily mean conscious observer as I recall. I still do not believe telepathy is real, when somebody can just reel off details about the room I'm in, my interest will be piqued. I think moreso, two people verbally communicating is actual telepathy happening since everything is one mind-like setup. You are reading my mind but your mask is not.
  14. Don't believe it, I also can't hover or flap my arms and go flying around the sky. It obscures truth by association with New Age stuff, and also this is random people's objections as to why they refuse to believe obvious truth... New Age ideas are scaring people away from exploring demonstrable facts, I wish it would disappear.
  15. They can cause harm, such as PTSD symptoms. I have not used in a long time, I still think about this shit daily. This enrire pursuit is worthless. When the self dies, either on drugs or physically dies, everything and everyone is equal. You are equal to the "swine" who refused to take illusion shattering drugs and got to enjoy an 80 year long dream.
  16. No, telepathy etc discredits actual verifiable truth. I hate that BS. As per first response, space is not real, nobody is miles away from you they're within you. If there's no such place as an out there then all things and people are really at the place called here. It's not only semantics that we both call the place we're at "here". There aren't actually other people to communicate with. Because other people are you masquerading in another mask. Time is not real, space is not real.
  17. You can't be aware of awareness directly became awareness is absolute literal nothingness. You have to use sensory input as a mirror to reflect back at what's observing them. Then you find nothingness.
  18. Dr. James Cooke on YouTube is an actual neuroscientist who discusses mysticism etc.
  19. IMO social pressure and ego makes it so he will not admit his true honest belief about things. His ego is not only his own; he is expected to be a certain way by a VERY large number of people. When he spoke to Spira he clearly understood, so when Spira said awareness went nowhere in his experience under anaesthesia, Sam acknowledged it and ended that topic.
  20. I just think of that old dude getting his ass beat while trying to shoot fireballs from his palms like Street Fighter, or the type of people James Randi went after.
  21. If I thought I shot lightning out of my fingers, and not only did I have the experience of having done so, but it actually shot out across "consensus" reality, I'd want to prove it to myself. All experience is 100% real in the sense that experience "is". It's quite different when making claims beyond, that you have altered the fabric of the entire dream... As you know ofc I could hallucinate a million bucks under my bed, and there is NO QUESTION the appearance of a million bucks is real. But I probably could not take that million bucks into a store and spend it. I don't think I could completely alter the fabric of this dream in that way.
  22. I'm. Here. Now... No matter what you do, you are always "I". No matter how far you go, you will find you never leave the location called "here". No matter how much time passes, you will find you never leave the moment called "now". The only thing that changes is appearances. ... When you move from one corner of a room to another, the location itself is still called "here". All that has changed is what is appearing within it. When you wait for a few minutes to pass, the moment itself is still called "now". All that has changed is what is appearing within it. And I am ever-present. If we both say "I am here now", what makes you think your here and now is a different here and now? The fact that the appearances within it differ? Appearances also differ as you look out the window of a train but you see different appearances do not mean a different location or moment... So what makes you really believe we reside within a separate "here" and "now". What makes you think our ever-present "I" is a different one? There is no evidence for it.
  23. People also use Leo's word as authority, I see people are totez on board with energy shooting out of his fingertips like fuckin' Raiden and telepathy. I think 5-MeO-DMT reveals THE truth, so he is a great prophet. But, better to gain your own experience.
