  1. You don't have to do anything to achieve what you want. That's the neat part. Everyone and everything inevitably loses the mask that separates it from God. You are destined to "become" God whether you like it or not, and whether you "do" anything to achieve it or not. A person is only a mask, behind which you always were simply God.
  2. If you stated your arguments in an Islamic country you would be executed for blasphemy.
  3. Oh, sorry, I mean that the thought of what you want is ITSELF a creation. "I want to be rich" is a thought that is arising. It is itself only an appearance... I don't know why people hijack a genuine insight about reality and try to use it to prove BS about how they can "manifest" a cure for cancer or w.e.
  4. Be careful, saying such things will cause mobs to brutally murder you for these words... This shows that the teachings are very zen and lead students to enlightenment, meaning they become killers with insatiable bloodlust for any believed transgressions.
  5. @Aleister Crowleyy You're still young, that's why you can't see these things clearly. You are being sold robotic aspie logic weirdness like human relationships are logical exchanges... Todd is indeed utter shit like the dude said, and RSD is a scam like the entire self help industry. Connecting with others is 100000% internal to you, for friendship or romance. This is why people on E "love" everyone and become social butterfly tier, sharing deep things with random strangers like they're lifelong best friends. Nothing else even matters if you are like that, you are at peak performance.
  6. Why do you think you should be able to do that? Every element of yourself and what you want etc is itself created, by the way. Anything that isn't nothing, is always going to be something "in front of you" so to speak. Which includes all of your wants and thoughts and emotions. Those are themselves things and themselves appearances. The element of awareness in all of this is inherently complete nothingness, pure nothingness, which poses a problem for "free will". Since any step in a choice is itself going to take the form of something like a thought... People obsessed with "collapsing duality" won't understand because they won't see that. But it seems to cause issues on the whole "free" front, which implies being presented multiple choices and specifically deciding on one of those.
  7. Does anything more even matter? The drug cuts off thoughts completely at that point IME. Though I barely remember whatsoever, I'm pretty sure that happened. The afterglow when thoughts come back and you process what happened, seems good enough for whatever anyone might want. Probably most of the people you have in mind had a brief experience like that.
  8. What you want is happiness: Name any material thing you want, and imagine some genie comes and will snap it into being for you. But doing so guarantees you will fall into a deep depression for as long as you have it. Do you still want to go out with your crush if doing so would GUARANTEE misery? Or do you just want to go out with her because you think it will make you happy? Rupert Spira said something like that and I'm butchering his eloquent wording.
  9. Might not happen for you, and there might not be anything you can do to change it. Like the people on X Factor who are total shit singers yet try year after year to become the next Ariana Grande (or whoever is trendy), and we all know how it ends... Could you be cool with that if that was the case?
  10. But literally; that is literally what is happening. The sights you see would not exist if you were blind. The images don't exist outside of your mind, and they come into being just by you looking at something. That's straight up agreed upon science, doesn't even have anything to do with mystic weirdness. Your mind is literally the entity responsible for that. Oh but you think you ought to have control. Even though there are many things which exist solely inside your mind like that, which you aren't actively controlling, but are undeniably its own creation and undeniably do not exist outside itself.
  11. No it's a really good book full of many comics based on traditional Zen stories. It's called Zen Speaks: Shouts of Nothingness. There are a good number of the comics online but no eBook.
  12. Thought you sat on your keyboard. Now see this is a genuine and seemingly useful thing.
  13. @Someone here Well you ARE doing that, aren't you? Stimulus -> Brain -> Qualia. The latter doesn't exist outside of your mind materializing it, does it.
  14. All people desire the same thing, nobody wants an ugly partner. Nor do you. You are just doing it out of desperation. ALL people want a partner that doesn't make them want to vomit.
  15. Lol how old are you dude?
  16. MDMA works infinitely better than pickup "tips and tricks". Being physically attractive is the most useful trait in nightlife environments. Being NOT disgusting is the most useful trait overall.
  17. It's not real and it doesn't work. I hate this shit because it strawmans a very serious and real thing, by associating it with pseudoscience BS.
  18. It can never explain itself which is a giant issue. Mental objects in isolation aren't usually ascribed any kind of substance, they're not made of anything- they're made of nothing. 'Nothing' explains itself. It's the only thing that ever could, I think. If mental objects floating in a void (so just like, in isolation) aren't made of matter then you have a substance duality. You'd have to go backwards to neutral monism or whatever, as something has to encase both the physical and mental, since both share one space which is the space of reality itself.
  19. Hmmm maybe don't call it that because it's confusing? Perhaps mind and matter are bad words to use because they create a divide between the substance of a personal vs consensus reality?
  20. Well, light hits the keyboard, bounces up into your eyes, the signals go to the brain, a picture of a keyboard is imagined. The picture is the only element ever known to you. I think you mean you think there's a keyboard "thing" outside of the picture of it in your head. You remove thingness from it as soon as you remove the perception of it, though... Any shape you imagine it being like "out there", could never possibly be what's really out there because the shape "things" you imagine are entirely made of seeing. You mentioned this briefly in the first post. When sense perceptions are removed there's no possibility for it to look like any shape. If you're blind it then looks like nothing, not even black. That nothing is what's really out there. You reduce things to math (etc) without perception, can only describe a circle in terms of pi etc. And mathematics is not made of a physical substance.
  21. Drugs, brains, and qualitative experiences are of the same "stuff". It is all the same "substance" which is reality. Reality is the only thing there is, all must be made from reality for obvious reasons that if it was made of something else, then reality itself would no longer contain everything and you'd need another "thing" to contain those two in unison. All appearances are mirages, all a "never really was". Only what "always is" is unchanging. The sole unchanging factor in this moment and all to come in this hour is what really is. Everything about our person and life is a "never really was". You could have total amnesia, awaken in a new life as an infant. And you think you are still there, but the person is discarded like when a movie scene changes. The scene on the screen is an appearance and it can alter. The screen doesn't change. The person is a scene. Reality is the screen. You are reality... Like how you are still here despite your thoughts from earlier having disappeared.
  22. That's in direct conflict. Consciousness is present. The person is not. When all conscious beings are unconscious or don't exist, there is no time or space in actuality. The "tick, tock, tick, tock" time that we think of only exists to a conscious being. Every tick and every tock happens in the present, which is the only moment. And when there is nobody present to tie all the ticks and tocks together in a line, it's instant. 6 billion years preceding life instantaneous with the first conscious being in the universe.
  23. People don't know what a "you" is. They genuinely do not understand where the "you" ends and self begins. You can explain it quite easily but you'd have to do it every single time... And actually even then I don't know that people legitimately understand that they are nothing. It feels like people just blindly agreeing with Leo or because it sounds deep or something. Which is weird because I think it can be explained super super super easily and it makes complete sense. 100% sense. Anyway Rupert only cares about suffering and helping people. He's concise but he will alter his words to help the person he's talking to. He speaks differently depending upon the other person's existing understanding.
  24. Even high school science class is enough. Light -> surface -> eyes -> brain -> image. You only ever see the image, which is a representation inside your own mind. Same for every thing you ever know or interact with. Your entire life from birth to now has played out inside your own mind. As such, nothing you've ever interacted with has ever had any substance at all. It's imaginary. Every event in your entire life is happening in the mind.
