Irrelevant to the the point. There are many people like Sadhguru where there naturally shouldn't be. Sadhguru sometimes mentions how he can can simply look at a random person and they both suddenly "feel" each other's "energy" or "quality of consciousness", and are in shock of each other. Like meeting a fellow "awakened one". Even Leo talks about this in his Turquoise video, iirc. People can be at a level where they just radiate their Turquoiseness, where people start to gather around them from the energy they radiate. Simply having grown up in "the right kind of environment", as Carl was suggesting, isn't enough to account for this, I didn't. I was making the point that matters of the physical alone aren't enough to account for everything we see. Yes, but again that doesn't mean anything. Experiences are just that. I wasn't suggesting that souls are the reason for these differences, but that they could be one, in theory. It's an "unknown" why some people just don't seem to "fit" in a family, or are particularly drawn to some random/specific thing in their career or whatever. It being unknown means there are, for certain, variables which we haven't accounted for, meaning we can't rule out souls being one such variable. Specific reasons? Well there is some indirect empirical evidence of this, by the monroe institute, such as proof of dimensions outside our own, which validate Robert Monroe's and Tom Campbell's accounts of their direct experiences, many of which suggest and/or confirm the existence of soul-like forms and their fundamental/ubiquitous nature across all realms of existence. But all that exists is your experience, so if it's not your experience it's not your truth and is impossible to really verify. If an alien knocked on your door, or if a famous scientist proclaimed that souls exist, none of that would really mean anything.

I've realized some types are so incompatible they're not even worth talking to. I used to think ESFJs are one of the worst types, but I'm actually relatively compatible with them as they can somewhat understand me. If I say I'm gonna watch anime, they're not confused nor completely disinterested. They're capable of understanding the concept of entertainment (Si), and how work/family/status isn't all there is to life (Se). I was talking to an ENFJ, and it made me realize how ugly of a personality some people can have. There are good people in every type, but.. my god.. Se3-Ti4, or Se3-Fi4 women are like..?? Did you read what I wrote? Well.. do twin siblings always have the exact same identity/personality? Why do families sometimes have a kid that's completely different to everyone else in the family? So if you can't imagine how a soul could have any impact on a person's character then that's how it could manifest, in theory. It's easy to see how people conclude that souls are real when there are people like Sadhguru born in slums, who uplift their whole community. It's as if genetics alone don't seem an adequate explanation for their energy/happiness/selflessness. It's as if they've taken a quality from elsewhere, and their memory has nothing to do with it, it's an "essence" that's got nothing to do with their brain chemistry or intellect. But also you seem unfamiliar with Tom Campbell's work. The idea is that everything in reality is an information system, and behaves like an information system. That's why physics works like a predictable algorithm, and why quantum mechanics works like a probabilistic model you could get in a computer simulation. Anyway, for evolved information systems to continue to exist they must continue evolving, and to do that they must become better information systems, that means having less randomness/entropy and more order. Another word for this is "love", as love is the most constructive/orderly/productive state to be in. But to produce love/order out of chaos/randomness we need an environment in which there are consequences to actions, where there's natural incentive to grow towards a state of love. The whole of reality is basically just a love simulator. Without our human/physical limitations there'd be no change, no reason to discover love, every action/choice would be inconsequential and meaningless. According to the model, with each incarnation we grow closer to love as the process of life automatically evolves our "IUOC" or something like a "soul". The IUOC's "quality of consciousness" is what is being evolved, and is what you take across lives. And this idea does seem to have some validity ime. It's really pretty obvious and is everywhere you look. Initially I thought this was the one and only thing Spiral Dynamics was attempting to model, quality of consciousness. With time, the average stage of people seems to be increasing. Kids are starting off more evolved than their parents, and almost every prisoner/soldier is pretty much Green by the end of their lives. It seems that eventually we'll have people born into Turquoise. I don't imagine aliens millions of years ahead of us going through Red, Blue, etc. going through violence or racism, I can't imagine such dysfunctional tendencies staying with any species forever, but iirc Leo and the forum doesn't see it that way and disagrees with this perspective.

What? I think you misread what I wrote. I was saying "here is the reason for why I think souls could exist". The fact that people talk about past lives isn't exactly evidence of souls, so I was hypothesising what it would take for them to have reason to exist. Those who actually understand what Leo talks about in his videos tend to strongly believe there's no reason for souls to exist, and that therefore they don't exist. I suggested a reason for them to exist, as noone on the forum has every done so before.

In the US, yes. They have a pretty disgusting social culture there tbh, comparable to any Muslim country. You're expected to non-verbally communicate you're capable of being provider, be it with your car, generosity, house, etc. In Europe, no, of course not. This is interesting. ime there are several other layers between the physical and raw awareness. Like with the etheric layer, which is almost physical, I could give myself a heart attack if I really tried. And most of the other layers are completely detached from the physical. In theory, there could be a soul layer which remains constant with every physical life. Why? Partly because it follows Tom Campbell's MBT's sound logic (and the whole IUOC model), but also because if we have complete freedom as God, then this is the only way we should choose to exist. Why would we choose to lose all our progress? Wouldn't it be more fun to have a soul that saves all our experiences and influences our identity? Now that may sound limiting, but I'm not suggesting you're a soul. What you are is God/awareness, and if we do have souls then they're no different to our physical bodies, i.e. temporary. And if you want a certain kind of life in a certain kind of place, then you can incarnate into a specific soul and a specific body. And there could even be oversouls, like you could maybe incarnate into the oversoul of an alien planet, or of Earth. Reality is a fractal, so this wouldn't at all surprise me. Surprised some of the more active members don't get mentioned tho I do think there could be a few more roles on the forum, for fun. We already have the "member apolitical" title for when someone is recognized as an authority on political discussions. The title "moderator" is really no different. Rarely are mod-privileges relevant in discussion, what is relevant is that the green text shows they are "trusted", which may be helpful for new members to see. Actually it might be easiest just to say I'm a 7w8. All enneagram 7s have the same exact life purpose. Fun. Literally nothing else. My hobbies/preferences can change, but my life goal of having fun is the one constant. Why would I ever care about anything else? If I said I wanted to save the planet or something, then that would still be because it's fun, and not a single other reason. This is the life purpose for most, if not all people, whether they realize it or not. The specifics themselves aren't important. Leo has fun making videos and talking about actualization. He may not call it fun, but that's literally the only reason he does what he does. Also, I kinda have a few personalities so really my answer in the moment doesn't matter much???

Kinda, depends on what aspect you mean. I have crazy/insane ambitions in the spiritual domain, and in physical life I'll either die in a few years or have a very easy life. I had ambitions/purpose in the physical before, but I've either outgrown them or have simply gotten too ill to remain interested. So right now my life purpose in the physical would be to survive/thrive, but I never cared much for achievements in the physical anyway.
