  1. @Vercingetorix Have you experienced it? how do you know it's true? i'll tell you: You tell yourself it's true because they explained it with proof. But how do you know the proof is true too? That's basically enlightenment work and if you do it constantly you'll see that there is no basis for ANYTHING you claim is true! Then after this fog dissapears you will begin to see reality again and have insights
  2. @Vercingetorix That's the point of our discussion here. Why and how do you expect science to describe enlightenment? and most importantly why?
  3. @Vercingetorix You said the magic word: "Describe" So i ask you now...is the map the location itself?
  4. Since i am a man, i wouldn't be able to give quite good advice, but from time to time i have watched some videos of this guy who gives relationship and life advice on women and he seems pretty good. I suggest you pick the videos that interest you the most for starters, beginning from his oldest since they seem to be more basic. https://www.youtube.com/user/gettheguyteam/videos Aside from that, i would suggest you listen the lady's of group more than me
  5. @Scarecrow In this case, in my experience any kind of mediation works. the most easy one is Do Nothing
  6. Depends on your goals. Why do you want to meditate in the first place?
  7. @VercingetorixAt this moment, surely not, i can't know what future holds. No offense, but if you open your mind more, you are going to realize that you hold too much faith in science
  8. Meditation all the way! But you should be organized to do both if you want maximum results
  9. @Elton Do you watch Leo's videos? watch this and see the Enlightenment series (part 1,2 and 3 for a recap and a guided meditation)
  10. @EltonThose words are concepts, there is no such think as right or wrong
  11. @Elton You have made many wrong assumptions, which are supported by other false assumptions, which are supported by other... You see where this is going? First you need to be radically open-minded about thinks you say they are true and secondly locate them one by one and see that you are wrong.
  12. @Vercingetorix If it wasn't for Leo, i would be still 55 pounds heavier, still mad angry at my first girlfriend, still judging everything around me, still CRAZY monkey chatter in my mind because i would not meditate and still believing that i am an entity
  13. @Vercingetorix Why do you believe that? Maybe to start this process, but while doing this work you discover what is false, not thinking where that will lead This video is a good to begin with. Listen to it carefully and you'll understand why i'm saying what i'm saying
  14. What kind of proof are you waiting for? You don't suppose anything, that's the nature of enlightenment work It's gonna take you really long time to achieve an enlightenment experience only through mediation. Watch Leo's videos on enlightenment for some methods to begin with.
  15. Having a good 7.5 hours of sleep, in the night, in a pitch black room.
  16. @Neo That was my first thought too, but then again in order to do enlightement work, having a "positive ecosystem in your head" per se (or a healthy ego, if you prefer) is gonna help with this process. So, maybe "i'm enlightened" is a bit out of place, but something like: "I experience Truth", could maybe help? I don't know too, it was a question out of the blue
  17. Could you elaborate more on this? because i don't see a connection between self-inquiry and affirmations
  18. @FindingPeace Well then, you are lucky as far as enlightenment work is concerned
  19. @cetus56 That's different though, that's referring to mental ability of children to create this notion of me when they look in the mirror. The point is, just because you become more capable as you grow up to create and believe lies, doesn't make them significant or, most importantly, true.
  20. @charlie cho To whom and to what are you referring to?
  21. @Parki I didn't think anything about that i didn't care, i was experiencing the world through my eyes without being concious of my image
  22. Enlightenment work is the process of discovering through direct experience what is true and what is not, beginning with your self. There are a few methods, but for starters you could check Leo's video on the Self Inquiry process:
  23. If i were you, i would definitely use all that time to meditate and do enlightenment work, so i would really suggest to do some
  24. I remember as a kid that i used to look in the mirror and kept repeating my name, because i could not fathom the idea that what i was seeing in the mirror was me, not until i was 10 or 11.
