  1. I would tell her that it's a very amusing thing to me; that people are different, and that understanding differences and exploring various perspectives are my biggest passions in life (play the emotional passionate purpose-driven guy card + subtle wordplay i.e. I want to explore her). Then I would possibly recite an example or two of girls I know who said otherwise (play the pre-selected guy card + trigger her jealousy + challenge her + show her I have an independent opinion and am independent of her opinion). But of course, it's easy for me to think these stuff right now. I rarely say the right things on the fly, but I'm getting better.
  2. Causality is an assumption. What else is there to say?
  3. So, you're assuming that assumptions are false or bad, and that they should be avoided? Hehehe.
  4. How can someone reduce another person's consciousness?
  5. Corruption is defined relative to an existing system of rules. It's not arbitrary. We can deconstruct the rules and the concept of corruption, but that's another discussion.
  6. So that the food goes down not up.
  7. @PepperBlossoms Yeah, been there. It drove me crazy. Seeing through the mind has been exhausting. Observing it (the mechanics & relationship with emotions) is still joyful.
  8. This is the part where I would disagree with the general definition of the word. I don't think that corruption has necessarily to be stemming from selfishness. It can be stemming from good intentions, for example, if I thought certain laws were unfair and then went behind them to achieve fairness, would that be corruption? I think, yes. At least from the system's perspective. It's like fighting fire with fire. As well, computers and bots can be corrupt if they start behaving wrong, even though they're not selfish, at least apparently haha.
  9. I just had a 403 error, which basically prevents my IP from accessing this website. This happens a lot with a lot of websites, but VPN always to the rescue.
  10. The sun only rises according to the flat earth model. In the round earth model, the sun is in a static position relative to the earth, which revolves around it while revolving around itself. So, basically, the sun had not risen even once. How about that? Do you see how subtle assumptions are?
  11. This is an interesting way to articulate the issue. And even though I don't have much to add, I think it's only the tip of the iceberg. I can imagine how messing with complex systems is not an easy task, but I can't imagine how things would turn out just by changing one variable, which is why I trust the infinite intelligence and let it take care of everything.
  12. And yet somehow the most confusion happens with the simplest and clearest things Humans are interesting.
  13. @PepperBlossoms If you ever attend university or read a research paper from a highly-respected scientist, I assure you you will find a lot of what you're longing for here. The less technical words are used for the sake of simplicity in order not to confuse the kids. Kids cannot digest such complex concepts, they need them watered down. Reflect on how much effort it took you to see this new perspective, and then compare your current self with your kid-self to see the difference and how hard it is to see through the mind.
  14. Any system of rules. Yes. Both. But the word "corruption" deals with the explicit only. I would use the word "dishonesty" to describe the implicit form of corruption. No, unless there's a formal declaration of some rules that they're supposed to stick to.
  15. @PepperBlossoms I can't believe you couldn't name Isaac Newton
  16. @PepperBlossoms You seem confused. Science does not seek knowledge. This is a story that you've been fed by your media in order to popularize science among people and give them a higher meaning for their lives. And it's a common misconception among those who haven't studied philosophy. There's a branch of philosophy called epistemology that deals with knowledge. Science is built on top of that branch and uses the foundations and concepts provided by it in order to interact with the world. Epistemology provides a framework for science to operate from. This framework is called metaphysics, and as of currently it's dominated by materialism, because survival nowadays and in the past few hundred years has been hyper-pragmatism, which fits perfectly with materialism. Modern science is not an explanation of existence. That's never what it was meant to be. Other versions of science (e.g. religion) did not have a distinction between practical science and theoretical science. Both fields were enmeshed together and treated as one. But the truth is that philosophy is the study of the nature of things, while science is the fruit of that study. Like a tree that bears fruit.
  17. @mememe Well, I'm not awake, so I wouldn't know.
  18. @mememe I only partially read the introduction of that book, saw the word "spirituality", quickly threw up, then closed the book.
  19. Those fucking hippies are driving me crazy! These know-it-all farts. Those slightly blushed faces, ugh! The stupidest things I've ever seen. Their arrogant ignorance is iconic. Like, you can't even communicate with them like a normal human fucking being because they think they are above you (just by smoking a plant or plugging a chemical), when they're in fact below protozoans and amoebas. It's absolute madness. Enough with your egoistic BS already. I don't want to get my hands dirty. Just go fucking kill your retarded selves and let me live peacefully! Your existence causes the biggest damage and is God's biggest mistake. Fuck God for creating you, if even that!
