  1. Enlightenment is a special attainment. There's no justification for any of this in spirituality. It's just ego. And it's exactly what prevents enlightenment. People need less of that, not more. It is all of those things for many people. Unfortunately, it seems like it is. There's not really a cause and an effect, especially with psychology.
  2. This can happen, but doesn't always. Many mental illnesses/cases are terminal even with medical intervention. The medication can actually worsen the illness in many cases. We don't really understand mental illnesses well yet, or even just the mind alone.
  3. I like many of your "teachings". I just don't think you teach the truth, nor that you could to begin with.
  4. I generally don't let any chemicals enter my body unless they're absolutely necessary. That includes even caffeine and all other "basic" chemicals for most people. I think that's the main reason why my health is great overall. As for your question, you can't really trust any insights whether they come from chemicals or plants or anything else, basically. But I don't see any more legitimacy for natural plants over man-made chemicals even for normal medication uses. Plants don't have the same efficacy as man-made chemicals because they're not as potent, and they have a lot more side effects. The thing about nature is that it doesn't produce very nuanced substances for our very specific needs. Most natural products come with a variety of substances that are pretty much irrelevant and have no practical use (which produces side effects).
  5. In practice, solipsism contradicts morality. But (everyone) feel free to do mental gymnastics around this truth.
  6. Stress creates unclarity. Enlightenment is the transcendence of that into clarity. There's no enlightenment without stress.
  7. A view from the hospital where I get my training. Nothing spectacular, just my reality.
  8. If you're stuck at this question, maybe you should go to a kindergarten and observe the children there then make comparisons with the adults. Generally, children take survival for granted, and at hard times they break quickly. The opposite is true for adults. As well, seriousness is the resting mode/natural state for adults, but they should be able to occasionally relax, enjoy themselves, and have fun. It's the other way around for children. Adults can commit to a cause, they have a purpose, they're aware of what they're doing and why they're doing it. Children just play. In terms of Spiral Dynamics, I think maturity starts at Yellow, especially when compared to Green's naivety.
  9. I don't think it's necessarily dogmatism in this case. I mean, at least they claim to have experience. But what are they, I mean people with experience? Like 1% of the new-age hippie culture. I guess I can have a conversation with people who claim experience. Maybe I can learn something, and maybe they can too. But I definitely don't think their reports are final. Because there's experience, and then there's interpretation, but most people confuse the two. Nahm-talk
  10. Affirmations definitely work, but they require intent/desire. I used to do affirmations before important events and my confidence levels would go over the roof.
  11. Psychedelic or not, God seems to love plugging.
  12. Projection is a technical psychological term under the defense mechanisms category, often done to protect a psychological wound. One cool thing about projection is that it can be projected onto others in a defense mechanism kind of way, which makes it ripe for abuse. Usually what I see people doing is accuse others of projecting, even though that's not necessarily the case. So they defend themselves against new unwanted information by using the projection armor. Like you said in the later post, the distinction between experience and projection is tricky. But that shouldn't be an issue for the receiver, because it's irrelevant to the advice.
  13. Just like most thoughts, most emotions are useless.
  14. A creative mind wasting its potential.
  15. Hippies are the only proof that exists that men are not better than women. I guess there's one good thing about hippies after all.
  16. Even if that concept was somehow possible to actualize, by definition there wouldn't be anybody to teach it to you since they already stopped reincarnating. Otherwise, the teaching would be BS and the teacher a scammer.
  17. What is the point of getting laid if solipsism is false?
  18. You're skipping insights. You must first learn that brains and logic are imaginary.
  19. @BlueOak Turns out the sanctions aren't even targeting oil and gas exports.
  20. @BlueOak For me the bottom-line is that overall, not much will change for Russia except that life will become more expensive there (mostly for the middle and lower classes). How much more expensive? I don't know. I think that's pretty much most that there is to the sanctions.
  21. Exports cannot be completely blocked. It's impossible to do that. The west is not the whole world. There's China and the rest of the world. You can boycott the biggest natural gas producer for a certain period of time. But Europe needs the gas, and they will break eventually without Russia. There are definitely alternative pathways for exportation. The Russians can still export "illegally" at a lower price. Basically a black market can be created, and is probably already in place even before the war has begun. Plenty of corrupt European leaders to seduce. Importation won't be affected very much. America and Europe are not the only sources of technology or imports in general. Again, there already exist "illegal" and "shadow" pathways that can deliver high tech gadgets if you are willing to pay, which Russia can. All of the above is especially true because America is losing respect and influence globally. That's the western narrative. But I live in a sanctioned country, and we get the latest IPhones immediately after they're released every year. Capitalism doesn't really care about sanctions. I don't think so. But we will see.
