  1. If you're stuck at this question, maybe you should go to a kindergarten and observe the children there then make comparisons with the adults. Generally, children take survival for granted, and at hard times they break quickly. The opposite is true for adults. As well, seriousness is the resting mode/natural state for adults, but they should be able to occasionally relax, enjoy themselves, and have fun. It's the other way around for children. Adults can commit to a cause, they have a purpose, they're aware of what they're doing and why they're doing it. Children just play. In terms of Spiral Dynamics, I think maturity starts at Yellow, especially when compared to Green's naivety.
  2. I don't think it's necessarily dogmatism in this case. I mean, at least they claim to have experience. But what are they, I mean people with experience? Like 1% of the new-age hippie culture. I guess I can have a conversation with people who claim experience. Maybe I can learn something, and maybe they can too. But I definitely don't think their reports are final. Because there's experience, and then there's interpretation, but most people confuse the two. Nahm-talk
  3. Affirmations definitely work, but they require intent/desire. I used to do affirmations before important events and my confidence levels would go over the roof.
  4. Psychedelic or not, God seems to love plugging.
  5. Projection is a technical psychological term under the defense mechanisms category, often done to protect a psychological wound. One cool thing about projection is that it can be projected onto others in a defense mechanism kind of way, which makes it ripe for abuse. Usually what I see people doing is accuse others of projecting, even though that's not necessarily the case. So they defend themselves against new unwanted information by using the projection armor. Like you said in the later post, the distinction between experience and projection is tricky. But that shouldn't be an issue for the receiver, because it's irrelevant to the advice.
  6. Just like most thoughts, most emotions are useless.
  7. A creative mind wasting its potential.
  8. Hippies are the only proof that exists that men are not better than women. I guess there's one good thing about hippies after all.
  9. Even if that concept was somehow possible to actualize, by definition there wouldn't be anybody to teach it to you since they already stopped reincarnating. Otherwise, the teaching would be BS and the teacher a scammer.
  10. What is the point of getting laid if solipsism is false?
  11. You're skipping insights. You must first learn that brains and logic are imaginary.
  12. @BlueOak Turns out the sanctions aren't even targeting oil and gas exports.
  13. @BlueOak For me the bottom-line is that overall, not much will change for Russia except that life will become more expensive there (mostly for the middle and lower classes). How much more expensive? I don't know. I think that's pretty much most that there is to the sanctions.
  14. Exports cannot be completely blocked. It's impossible to do that. The west is not the whole world. There's China and the rest of the world. You can boycott the biggest natural gas producer for a certain period of time. But Europe needs the gas, and they will break eventually without Russia. There are definitely alternative pathways for exportation. The Russians can still export "illegally" at a lower price. Basically a black market can be created, and is probably already in place even before the war has begun. Plenty of corrupt European leaders to seduce. Importation won't be affected very much. America and Europe are not the only sources of technology or imports in general. Again, there already exist "illegal" and "shadow" pathways that can deliver high tech gadgets if you are willing to pay, which Russia can. All of the above is especially true because America is losing respect and influence globally. That's the western narrative. But I live in a sanctioned country, and we get the latest IPhones immediately after they're released every year. Capitalism doesn't really care about sanctions. I don't think so. But we will see.
  15. It's not just his own perception, women actually reject him and sweep in "you're a really nice guy" as kind of a consolation prize. Not true. The nice guy will "respect" the boundary and then keep trying to creep in through the back door of the girl he's interested in, hoping that someday he'll buy her, or that she'll just change her mind about him or something. He's not bitter, just desperate and needy and lacking sex appeal. I agree. I don't respect weak men, either.
  16. The "nice guy" is by definition a stereotypical guy who is overly respectful of other people's boundaries, whether man or woman or baby. Otherwise, he would be called the jerk guy or something.
  17. I would be jealous, too. I would consider it abnormal to be indifferent. Your girlfriend is yours only, she belongs to you only, so you should feel and act like that. It's instinctual.
  18. The friendzone is something that halts advancements in the sexual survival agenda in an unprovoking way. It is the same for all genders, but of course it manifests differently for each person depending on their agendas. And of course, for men it's mostly about lack of sex while for women it's mostly about lack of "emotional connection".
  19. By the way, the sanctions are useless in practice. The only purpose they may serve is to hurt the Russian people economically, which in turn could make them angry so they would rally against their government, or at least the war. But I don't see that happening. In practice, the Russian government will continue as if nothing has happened, but the Russian people will suffer the cost.
  20. There's nothing in this world that disgusts me more than hippies and everything related to them.
  21. Mostly propaganda exaggeration playing on emotions trying to get more people to join. What's the point? As long as Russia controls the air, any number of infantry is going to be moot. In fact, the more the merrier so to speak. It only gives more reason and justification for heavy bombing.
