Genetics and environment are the biggest factors. -
Women love to experience pain in a safe environment. Controlled pain feels good for them for some reason. Pain and pleasure are intertwined for women. They want pleasure, and they want the turmoil. Probably because because controlled pain adds a new depth to the experience, as opposed to raw pleasure or raw pain. The mix gives way to entering a different realm, and that realm is the feminine climax zone, where surrendering meets control, and where union truly occurs.

Strong desire is good, but it's not enough to make a successful career in this specific domain. For two reasons: Philosophy had basically died as a principle after the European enlightenment and the birth of materialism. So it basically lost its importance and value, at least temporarily, and as a result the academic path will only lead you to a boring job i.e. a professor. The industrial revolution had made it nearly impossible to recognize talents publicly, because talented people are typically nerds, and those nerds now have to work within a system run by capitalism. So talented people have turned into cogs in a machine, and this machine doesn't require philosophers at least as of today. So, unless you're smart, you won't likely make it as a career in philosophy. Look at Leo's business model for example. He started out with basic self-help (modern religion basically), and then over time switched to a fully-fledged philosophical channel. If you apply a similar strategy, and put effort into it, there is a good chance you might reach your goal. You gotta know how to market what you have to say, that's number one. So start from there. If you don't think you can pass that challenge, then you might want to move on to something else.

Selfishness raises my vibration too, though in a different (unique) way. I don't experience a quantitative difference in consciousness levels in either cases, but yes there is a qualitative difference that I wouldn't describe as higher nor as lower, really just different/unique. -
@axiom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predictive_coding Where does the theory say that the brain receives no inputs from the environment?

My deadly combo: Education, followed by direct personal inspection. Observation, followed by taking mental and/or physical notes. Of course, curiosity, open-mindedness, focus, selflessness, etc. are paramount, but they are not techniques for raising consciousness, rather more like ground rules, a soil, or an environment that make raising consciousness possible to begin with. -
Sad to see you leaving. Always enjoyed your contributions, from both accounts. Good luck, and hopefully you will achieve all your goals in life.

No need for speculations or subjective definitions. It's not like new-agers invented this word or anything. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/aware "Aware: knowing that something exists, or having knowledge or experience of a particular thing" -

Yet another awakening. I don't ask for them, sincerely. They just come to me on their own. Slapping me right in the face. But this one is different, cuz I can verbalize it, but I know I shouldn't, so I won't. It's so radical, it goes against all human cultures. Nobody teaches this. And even I can't believe that it is the case, but it is, always have been, but I was blind, but not anymore. I know my enemy. And how it works. All I need is this awareness. This recognition, to ignite my heart, and reflect the light.

@AtheisticNonduality One more SP-less song out of you, and you're the maker of this parody.

@Razard86 Okay. Thanks -

@Razard86 I didn't ask for a lecture. I asked for a source; a link or anything that can backup the claim you made and I quoted above. -
Environment is input.

Ummm, lol? Source? -
So many things you helped me with, hard to remember them all, but most of them had to do mostly with my feminine side, shadow, and subconscious mind. Here are some: Nihilism and lack of meaning. Integration of my past spiritual experiences. Self-hatred projected both inwards and outwards. Cynicism, lack of positive outlook on life and people, and lack of compassion. Being overly critical of everything and everyone, including myself. Self-image issues, and what people might think of me. Needing to be right and to defend myself and image. Being stuck in perceiving persons rather than patterns of intelligence. Emotional stability. Co-dependency and attachment. The whole soul-mates concept and how humans romanticize romance haha. And let's not forget about my sister who's completely functional now, meds-free, and even better than before. In fact I have another appointment today (she's a dentist). Now we all joke about that period and she makes fun of herself too. We refer to it "the lettuce phase" as a metaphor for being lost inside the grooves of a lettuce, like a labyrinth or something haha! Though, I wouldn't say it's the words that you write create the effects by themselves alone, but in trying to understand you it's more like the words become a portal to your inner truth and a medium to a higher wisdom, same with the images and music. I try ? I actually borrow some of your style because I like how expressive and smooth it is. Thank you, you're as unique and more ?

Not exactly my point, though. You know how spirituality is not very mainstream? Well, we're likely in a similar position from a spiritual perspective. -
Facts: Leo provides so much value and information, plus his own experiences FOR FREE. Leo spends a great deal of time answering technical questions for seekers who would otherwise probably get ridiculed, pay tons of money to get a chance to speak with a guru, or worse, not have anyone to even take their questions seriously to begin with, let alone answer and provide an environment for discussion FOR FREE. And all of this happens on a forum that Leo made available and maintains for everyone, again, FOR FREE. Leo teaches you to think for yourself and gives warnings all the time. Leo teaches you how self-deception works and admits that he may be deceived and that you should not trust him. Leo deals with nonsensical and unnecessary criticism all the time. Leo helps thousands of already damaged/suicidal people, again, FOR FREE. But when one of those does something they would otherwise have done so much earlier, Leo gets the blame. Conclusion: Yeah, definitely seems like a cult.

Overconfidence is a defense mechanism that overshadows the doubts and confusions that people have. Whenever you see an overly confident comment without substance, always assume doubt and confusion deep down. -

Well, maybe it is. It's not like there's a rule written somewhere in the universe that says spirituality is the ultimate truth. And even if there was, I would still doubt it. -
@Loba (Posting here, cuz thread got locked). I honestly don't think I could have ever recovered without your writings. Most of the content out there is in one direction, your contents is in another, and it stands out. It gives me the balance I'm looking for. At a surface level, one might think that you don't have a lot to offer, because you don't often flaunt much logical understanding that most people cater to and consume. But in reality, you do understand logic, better than most as I see it, and at the same time you see and understand patterns/non-logic, which is something not everyone is capable of. Actually, I don't know any people who are capable of the latter, let alone both together. The value I get from reading you is non-linear, so it's not like "Oh, yeah. That makes sense." It's more like "This doesn't make much sense logically at least for now, but maybe it will someday or in some other way." And so with time, it actually does. The alchemical transformation you talk about is legit, it has been since the early days of your older journal. Your writings showcase that in themselves and in others who read them (my experience at least), with time and patience and open-mindedness. You are a great writer, because you are genuine, honest, and have a great mind-heart-body integration. Thank you, honestly. Keep on doing what you love, even if the world is not ready for it yet, as long as it resonates with you. You're a goldmine. And if anyone is lucky enough, they will stumble on your journals and maybe they'll learn something if they are ready.
