  1. @Zeroguy Aww! Thanks for the compliment Will you marry me?
  2. Of course there are wrong ways, and they are clear and obvious. Alcohol, tobacco, poor deit, poor daily routine, video games, gossip, just to name a few examples.
  3. I don't know how or why secular societies managed to integrate marriage into their legal system. After all, marriage is a religious, stage Blue concept, and it's a legal contract that allows sex and reproduction to happen, both of which are otherwise banned. But for a secular society, where all of that is allowed from the get-go, I don't get it. What's even the point in marrying someone when you can already have sex and children with them? Like, if you're already okay with everything with this person, letting him/her touch your most private spots, then what will the contract add to your life and relationship?
  4. Empty your cup. The number one step for changing yourself is to detox from everything you're used to. Once you fill yourself up with some emptiness, the bad habits will become easier to dissolve, and you will be ready to accept and absorb good habits.
  5. Yeah, they're not fruitless. These inquiries are "the work" in a sense. I'm just pointing to the next step. Rejection does not reflect onto existence. It does not affect it in the slightest, which is what makes existence absolute. Rejection can only happening within the mind. And whatever the mind says is irrelevant to existence itself, because it's just a reference/image/pointer, and therefore not representative of the real thing. Yeah, but here you're making it seem like the mind/logic is primary and existence is secondary. If my logic is correct, then existence should be the same as my logic. Kind of backwards, if you ask me. Then what's left for you to realize is the "neither" part.
  6. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4471980/ The modern approach to mental health has become a lot less moralizing/absolutist and more accepting as they stopped using terms such as "illness" and replaced it with "disorder", which is basically just a sophisticated word for weird condition that is out of the ordinary. A disordered person is a person who somehow does not work under the "natural" order of society. They're not very familiar/similar to the average "ordered" person. So yeah, I guess it doesn't matter much whether a person is more functional or less. As long as they look strange from the mainstream perspective, they're going to be perceived and labeled as weird/disordered, especially that the general rule is dysfunction, and not hyperfunction.
  7. The point of the whole inquiry is to give up trying to grasp reality with the mind. Reality is impossible, and yet here it is. Deal with it, mind. Though, I don't recommend that Infinite or finite is irrelevant because they're products of the mind, so they're finite by definition. The thought "infinity" is not reality. It's a thought, an example of reality, but not it (not reality), cuz it's itself. So ultimately, "infinity" becomes just a label that refers to actuality. Thoughts/Labels refer to experiences/actuality. Is your experience infinite or finite? Or is it both or neither?
  8. Go do some practices. This will not help you gain any clarity or understanding.
  9. Think of God as the substance that everything is made out of. Think of it as a whole instead of a part.
  10. It's not hard or complex at all. Everyone thinks they're right/good and that everyone else is wrong/evil. This gives their life deep meaning and a very powerful mission: I am a good person who is fighting against evil, which makes me even more good. The harder I fight evil, the better person I become. Of course, the truth is exactly the opposite. Everyone projects their own devilry outwards, makes it into an enemy, and fights it so that they can keep avoiding facing it inwards and reach the truth about themselves. Basically just look up the term "Lesser Jihad" in the Islamic faith (as opposed to "Greater Jihad"). That's all politics in a nutshell. Everyone is an ISIS and a Taliban only in different flavor. That's what survival is. The rest is just methods, tricks, and techniques to arrive at that imagined ultimate goal of annihilating "evil" and making "good" prevail. Of course, needless to say that each perspective is partial and never the whole picture. So no one is right, nor are they completely wrong. The perspectives serve to help the survival of the collective/culture and especially those at the top at the expense of the individuals and especially those down below.
  11. Those fucking surgeons stabbing ill people with their scalpels and shit. They must be evil criminals.
  12. @Holykael This is problematic at least on three levels: The user "Kksd74628" was probably using a pointer to make a point. The finger is not the moon. There is a misinterpretation of the implications of the claim that "Kksd74628" has made, because even if what he said is true, still at the end of the day, there are others who aren't the same way. So at best, you could be a God among other Gods and a few bots/NPCs, but never a God who is all alone in existence. It's not what you think it is. You seem to be lost in the matrix of your own mind, instead of observing its activity from distance.
  13. For countless reasons. Fortunately, the one you're thinking of is not one of them. Wait, what?! I don't admit to that, and I know many others who don't. Do you think we're lying or something?
  14. MBTI makes intelligence agencies work similar to a going through a test with multiple choice questions. For each question, you simply have to choose 1 from 16 options and nothing outside of them, which makes it easier compared to a test let's say with 100 options, or to a test where you're supposed to give a free answer.
  15. What a joke! Mr. Ego denies its own selfishness and creates an imaginary scapegoat to blame that it calls "God". Next time, at least come up with something new. This is like the oldest trick in the book. A red herring, simply to avoid looking at the truth and keep oneself in the dark, literally.
  16. I wouldn't go too far and say that it's random, cuz limited human perspective. But I also would not go in the opposite direction and say that it's intelligent or anything like that, cuz still limited human perspective. Have you ever seen such a thing?
  17. @Loba For me, that was one of the most liberating insights I'd ever had. It taught me to stop taking things personally, because we're all just blatantly selfish and looking for our best interests at all times. If I'm just as selfish as everyone else, then anything that happens to me is fair. I was like, dude, you let yourself get away with so much subtle selfishness but then you get hung up when others are selfish, why is that? And of course, the answer was because I'm selfish So the only thing left for me to do after that was to bite the bullet and accept my selfishness consciously instead of unconsciously, which paradoxically enough, ended up actually benefiting me a lot. But maybe things are different for you. I don't know.
  18. Still, I would say that at some level, there has to be some sort of outcome that you are looking for, namely in this case it could be the feeling of being a good person, or that there's still good in the world, maybe just to avoid the feeling of guilt, or because you're an empath and you felt his pain, etc. Ultimately, and no matter how you slice it, from your perspective and on a subconscious level, there is a search for meaning. You did something because it gave your life a certain meaning that you wanted and preferred over another meaning that you despised at least at that point in time. I'm doing the same thing here by the way, so in no way I am implying anything "holier than thou". It's just that at the end of the day, there's no such a thing as a completely pure/selfless action. All human actions are polluted with ego/personal agendas, at least from the same person's subconscious pov that they are often not aware of. It simply doesn't have to be a direct material outcome that you're looking for. Any outcome; physical, psychological, etc. will do.
  19. I don't have any insights on that matter. I can only recommend that you look into Zen Buddhism and actually practice it.
  20. Many people seem to be having a wrong idea of what high consciousness means and what it entails. High consciousness doesn't make you look crazy nor be crazy, quite the contrary. If you're becoming crazy or being perceived as crazy, that's probably because of your low consciousness, and a wrong association in your mind that it's somehow high, cuz you fundamentally misunderstand consciousness. High consciousness is not the same as a "drug high". The meaning of the word "high", as any other word, differs depending on context. High consciousness is not an emotional high like that of a drug. A drug will likely make you crazy, but if you actually somehow reached true high consciousness, you will be even more grounded and functional than in your sober state.
