Claim: Fact: Misfortune happens a lot. People born with disabilities exist. Bad things happen to people, animals, and even plants. People and animals get cancer and other terminal illnesses. Good people are rewarded poorly, and bad people are rewarded greatly. Etc.

That's why I don't read except what I think is necessary for me. I don't just gather information for the sake of information, my brain capacity is limited, and digesting information especially if new and/or complex takes time and energy. I don't read novels at all. I've only read like two or three books of that genre. However, one possible and valid use of mindlessly reading could be to brainwash your subconscious mind and program it with certain beliefs that you want. Sometimes, you'd need to change certain beliefs about yourself and/or life, and you might feel stuck trying to deprogram certain limiting beliefs, so that technique could be helpful.

Claim: Newton's law of gravity: Objects fall down to the ground due to their mass/weight. Fact: All known objects on earth, from before the dawn of time, and up until this point have been falling to the ground, from up to down, consistently. Conclusion: Indisputable fact. No room for doubt or debate under the materialist paradigm. ===== Claim: Naive law of attraction (hippy level 1/Purple): You get what you want. Everything you desire will be yours. Even the impossible can become possible with desire. Fact: Misfortune happens a lot. People born with disabilities exist. Bad things happen to people, animals, and even plants. People and animals get cancer and other terminal illnesses. Good people are rewarded poorly, and bad people are rewarded greatly. Etc. ===== Claim: Karmic law of attraction (hippy level 2/Blue): No, you're misinterpreting. These things are not random, nor necessarily bad. They all happen for a reason. There is a divine plan. Be more nuanced, dude! Everything is not what it seems. Sometimes, good things look bad from the outside, and vice-versa. This will all make sense if you consider the good and bad deeds of one's ancestors. Basically, there's good Karma, and there's bad Karma. And it's an intergenerational thing and way more complex than you think, so don't even try. Fact: Law of attraction and morality are two separate issues. We can discuss morality and what defines good and bad, and we can even reach an agreement at that. But that still won't prove Karma, because that agreement will only ever be a partial/limited perspective that we can impose upon reality with our minds. And because it is limited, we will find cases where law of attraction will contradict morality, and vice-versa. Besides, good and bad are relative judgements from one's own point of view. What's good for you can be bad for another dude or being, and vice-versa. Nothing defines absolute good and bad, except self-bias. ===== Claim: Positive law of attraction (hippy level 3/Green): Everything is Good! Absolutely Good! Even if it seems bad. Bad is an illusion of the mind. Only Goodness exists. Love! Everything is Love! Even hell is Love! Right here, right now! Imagination, life is your creation! Come on Barbie, let's go party! Fact: Oh, just shut up! ===== Claim: Ultimate law of attraction (hippy level 4/Turquoise): Alright, sorry about my earlier versions. I'll try to be more realistic this time. Law of attraction works well if you focus on your desires and align yourself with them. The more you focus and align, the bigger your chances. Fact: Sounds fair. Although, I wouldn't call it a law at this point. It's more like a loose general guideline for life, where you don't allow yourself to drown in limiting beliefs and negativity. I'm not trying to be argumentative or disprove anything here. It's just that life is infinitely complex and there are countless factors that can affect goals setting and achieving besides positive thinking. In fact, considering some factors, like health, wealth, political climate, etc. Law of attraction becomes very pale, limited, and irrelevant. But it's good to know that the thought is out there.

The Genie gave Aladdin 3 wishes. If they were infinite wishes, the story/movie would be infinitely boring that it's not even worth experiencing. -

Altered states of consciousness are not necessarily higher or lower. Higher consciousness means more inclusiveness, and lower consciousness means the opposite. -

I don't think you appreciate how difficult rulership can be. When you're responsible for a family or a group of people, you will have to make tough decisions, even if you don't like those decisions. You're talking about Muhammad as though he loved war and enjoyed killing other people off, even though he was not a warrior himself. A leader needs to look out for the best interests of his people, and in a Red environment, he has to kill some people in order to protect those interests. Put yourself in his shoes. Imagine what it's like to be an Arab leader in the 600s. What would you have done in his place? -

@shahryar I'm just saying, there are countless interpretations of Islam. Which one is it that you're criticizing? You could go all the way to extreme fundamentalism, or in the opposite direction to post-modernism. Every shade of that spectrum considers itself true Islam of Muhammad. And there's no consensus as to what constitutes true Islam except from each group's pov, which is obviously self-biased. Funny thing is that your sect is not necessarily directly affected by your level of religiosity, nor is the inverse true. You could be an extreme Sufi, or a laid back Wahabi, and you could justify it with the Quran and/or with Hadith however you like. You could also be a strict Quranist, or you could reject the Quran entirely and still consider yourself a Muslim. In fact, most Quranists and rejectionists consider themselves more Muslims than the average Muslim. It's just silly. I don't know what the point of this thread is, though. If you don't like the Iranian government, you can rally against it, you can move out of Iran, etc. If you don't like the Iranian version of Islam or any version of Islam at all, then don't subscribe to it. Nobody is forcing you, not that they could to begin with. -

@shahryar What makes you think Buddha was Turquoise? Where do you see Turquoise in his teachings? I think he was early Green at best. Most of his followers are Blue or Green at best, and Muhammad's are mostly Purple and Blue. And much of their teachings are the same. Aristotle and Plato are philosophers. They were not rulers. You're comparing apples and oranges here. Compare Muhammad to The Great Alexander or whoever ruled their land in their time, and you might have a point.
