  1. I agree. I really don't understand this fixation with enlightenment after "achieving" it. Whatever you do after enlightenment is your egoic business, why attach everything to enlightenment and then create a hierarchy out of it? You see? I am more enlightened than you are or will ever be. And that will be the case forever. Therefore, shut up and listen to my wisdom. And if you ever disagree with me, that's just because you're not awake, devil. lol If that somehow sounded like Zen Devilry, nevermind, because I'm the only devil here lol.
  2. Yes, from the reptilian brain. And that is the best part lol.
  3. Lol. Thanks, but I don't like being a cog in this man-made machine. I don't need the prefrontal cortex to motivate me, it's just where the ego comes form anyways. I have intrinsic motivation that no amount of women/porn could take away from me.
  4. @johnlocke18 You and Adeptus are misquoting Leo and misinterpreting his words. Leo didn't claim to have superpowers, at least I didn't see him claiming that while he is sober (P.S. I haven't been following the recent videos, so I'm not up to date on his views or what he says). He said paranormal phenomenon are an interesting possibility that may become available with further psychedelic exploration. However, I've seen him once claiming that he's omniscient and capable of telepathy among other things in one of his live trip videos. So, that's probably what he's warning about recently. And he's rather warning about those delusions from the sober state implying that you may experience such things during psychedelic trips. The real question remains whether you can still experience them in your ordinary sober state, because if you can, then they're not delusions anymore and therefore they're reality. See, the thing is that Leo is open to that possibility, while Adeptus is completely closed off to it. That's the nuance he and you are missing. (Just my interpretation, though. Leo might have other views)
  5. What kind of portfolio? Does it have to be neat, like creative and unusual? Or just showing that I know the basics? Also, is it more about quality or quantity? I'm sure it's about both, but which one alone would you say is more important? @impulse9 I just recently started learning my first JS library (jQuery). It seems very easy and simple theoretically, but I still haven't made complete functioning websites, or even JS apps. What would you suggest for me at this point?
  6. That's especially false with older generations, but don't let me inhibit you. Go on, follow your inspiration.
  7. @lmfao I don't have any knowledge of ACIM, and don't plan on learning anything about it. But I saw you bumped up the thread cuz you didn't get any answers. But believe me I read the thread a couple of times and couldn't see where or what the question is. The thread seems more like a journal entry than a question, tbh. Maybe it's too abstract or complicated. I don't know. But if you keep like this, you might need a third bump, or more lol.
  8. And the "If you dare " was an attempt from Leo at adding some playfulness and friendliness to the conversation in a challenging way to lighten up the dreaded seriousness you came here with. ?‍♂️
  9. I didn't mind the critique, really. I myself always criticize Leo and have already pointed out many disagreements that I have with him. I even agreed with Adeptus with some of his points in his earlier videos. But this video could barely count as shit, and that's me being generous. Because it's mostly egotism and personal attacks. It's way too immature and idiotic. I'm surprised Adeptus doesn't feel embarrassed by such a video. Maybe he will sometime later, after his ego calms down. Obviously, he's hurt that Leo ghosted him, and I understand how that must feel and don't think that it's wrong to be hurt per se. But it doesn't warrant such a childish reaction in any way, unless your shadow is too huge for you to control. By the way, he's also clearly still missing a lot of what Leo is saying. It's flying right over his head. But he thinks he gets it because he lacks nuance. And by the way, I can still see validity in some of the points he made, he's not completely wrong. But the childish stuff ruin the rest of the video. But, of course, this is just me - a blind cult member defending my beloved cult leader.
  10. Lol. I can't speak for everyone, but in my case, I was just curious to know what these 0.1% were talking about. So, of course, I had to be open-minded to what they had to say. It doesn't mean I denied the 99.9% perspective, it was my perspective after all, because I was one of those 99.9%. But I was able to entertain the opposing perspective before I could realize it in my direct experience. That's not the same thing as dogma, as you seem to be suggesting. Although, I'm sure many people within spiritual circles could be very dogmatic. But they're very rare on this forum. Most folks here seem highly open-minded and appear to have very few dogmas in general. Although, sometimes some of them seem to be a little bit more rigid/closed-minded when it comes to questioning spiritual dogmas.
  11. It doesn't makes sense to you, because you're putting statistical analysis on a pedestal(Appealing to authority fallacy), and then you're favouring the majority of votes instead of true unbiased investigation (The bias fallacy). So maybe you should question these things before jumping to conclusions. You are taking science for granted.
  12. Miracles can happen, but in most cases there are much quicker and easier ways, so it's kinda unwise to wait for a miracle to heal you unless you completely run out of options. In fact, miracles don't happen until you reach a certain desperation threshold, it's usually an absolute requirement, and the answer is still the same.
  13. @Hulia haha, that red beard sounds like fun, let's call him rusty lol. So, you work in software development, huh? Interesting. Can you share some more details? I'm currently learning front end web development, and eventually I will be making web apps too. Maybe later after that I will also learn Android development, iOS, and Windows, but that'd be probably far into the future. I've heard similar stories and complaints. Seems like some companies drain their best employees and underappreciate them. It's especially annoying when the boss has leverage but without skill or understanding. In most cases, they're spoiled like little kids and probably deserve some spanking lol.
  14. @Shiva99 Be in it for it. You don't have to stop developing yourself, just drop the expectations and focus on the experience and the joy of growing.
  15. Also, the virus proliferates within the host for a long time. During that time, it mutates probably hundreds of times, but most mutations end up being eliminated because they're mostly weaker/defective strains, and the immune system is capable of killing those off easily. The stronger strains, however, survive and like you said have the same characteristics of previous strains, plus some more that are more adapt to the capabilities of the immune system. Basically, covid is just going through an evolutionary process, survival for the fittest. But since it spreads relatively easily and a lot more than other viruses (through the respiratory system), and since it's capable of replicating/infecting a variety of tissues, that gives it an edge over other viruses. Meaning more chances for replication, which translates into more mutations, which is what creates the stronger strains. I'm a medical student, and I have friends that work in hospitals. I'm sure they're all stupid, deluded, closed-minded, liars, and conspiratorial. I myself am just stupid, not much the rest. But putting that aside, I have a friend who was tested positive, he didn't care and kept interacting normally with his family. His grandma (diabetic and with heart ischemia) got infected with the virus from him. He lived and she died. And that's not an uncommon story. I don't want to quote that other person because I don't want to enter this debate. It's just silly.
  16. Correct, but covid actually contributes to death one way or another. The virus is actually a risk factor.
  17. Was just curious to find out. Did the quick test. Maybe I'll do some other test(s).
