@cetus56 I agree. @Leo Gura Interesting questions. I feel as though in those moments I'm cracking open a window, but the wind (energy) is so powerful I get overwhelmed and quickly shut it. Instead of accepting and allowing this energy to flow something is resisting. It's easy for me to claim it's from my past conditioning but the hole probably goes deeper. When you say this do you mean the mind actually knows what's going on? Is this another way of saying this is the ego attempting to validate it's existence? -

@Natasha That's very interesting. What do you mean by this? -

Could you elaborate on this? -

Allow me to rephrase. Everything society deems important felt pointless, materialism, career, typical shallow relationships. A place in my life where I can direct most of my energy and awareness to spiritual work. I'm currently working towards it, thankfully its in the not so distant future. Well put. Definitely something to keep in mind. Any input on the dry heaving? Or sources you would know where I could gather more information on it? -

Thanks @Natasha I really appreciate the feedback. I've never heard of Ken Wilber but I've looked at his website and it seems pretty interesting. Why do you think they recommend developing it first? -

I never felt like I chose to have those experiences, they just happened. I can only assume it was because of the perspective or "lens" I was looking through at the time. I would momentarily disconnect from myself and shift awareness to a perspective that wasn't so focused. I was at a play and after a few seconds of starring at the back of peoples heads I had no Idea what I was looking at. I honestly had no idea that these were "humans". They were just bodies. A third person point of view is another way to closely describe it. But it goes against everything I've learned from society and what people have taught me. Maybe i'm wrong about what this is. I'm just looking for as much information as possible so that the next time this happens I'm more prepared. I've pondered on this a lot. whether or not I made the right choice by backing off of self inquiry at that time. Im very curious to know what would have happened had I continued. But I had a lot of responsibilities starting a business, full time job, managing other projects. It was starting to affect the other aspects of my life. To be quite honest it made everything else seem pointless... I'm not sure if I want to be there yet. I would like to get financially stable first. -

I'm not crazy I promise Did I post this in the wrong section? -
Lol I've got no idea what media says. That's something stumbled on a while back. There's plenty of sources. I'm more interested in what you believe it is. Where are you from btw?

These terms get misused a lot, here's the definition. First World: United States, United Kingdom and their allies. Second World: Soviet Union, China, and their allies. Third World: neutral and non-aligned countries. I'm all for developing "third world" countries but all its doing is adding a new contender into the mix. It doesn't actually solve the corruption because the corruption isn't usually within, Its from those assholes america and friends. As an american its hard to see how much influence we actually have over the rest of the world. We definitely need to do a better job as role models. I think the best method would be to abolish the illusory border lines between countries. As far fetched as that is.

I just recently had a really intense experience! It was so overwhelming that I started shaking and threw up. But I wasn't scared, I think that's the key. I accepted it and tried my best not to judge. If this had happened a few years ago I probably would have tried seeking help from a therapist... but because of the knowledge I've gained I welcome these experiences with open arms, there a sign of growth. Its amazing that feeling can last so long. How often does this happen? It only lasts for a few minutes for me. I'll start to look around and get this disturbing feeling that I don't exist, like my senses are playing some kind of cruel joke on me. I like to think of it as my ego dissolving, maybe it is maybe it isn't but it makes me feel better.

Follow your heart man, what is it that makes you feel the happiest? What are you most passionate about? Sounds a little like me a few years ago. I feel like a totally different person now. If I keep at the pace I'm at ill easily achieve the goals I've set. It's a bit frightening, maybe its the part of me that doesn't believe I could actually accomplish it. My advice would be to never stop learning, incorporate meditation in your daily life, dream big, and get out of your own way.

Do you have more going on in your life as of late? I noticed that's how it is with me. Just push through dude. You're mind is conditioned to resist. One thing that's really helped me is Ishwar Puri once said "there's no such thing as a bad meditation." The days where you are really struggling are the days that will help you master the art. You should try multiple methods and see what works best. I personally body scan and have attained great results. -

I thought the same thing. Whats even cooler is no two paths are alike. Sometimes I wonder if that's the reason for our existence, to re-discover the truth through our own unique reality. beautiful is an understatement. I'm at a loss for words. -
He's probably reptile scum, and if he is his motives are amusing This is a topic that I think can gauge humanities progress. I would like to know the statistics of how many people actually believe we are alone in the universe.

There are lessons to be learned from everything. I used to reflect on the time "wasted" on Runescape and felt bad about all my lost opportunities. After trying to see everything in a different perspective I realized how much real world knowledge I gained. I learned Market analysis/trade, efficiency, adaptability, and character development which I like to compare to personal development. Then there was the Wilderness... It was an area where you can fight and kill other players. This was mainly what I was addicted to. You can bring whatever you want but if you die you loose it all. That sense of risk was thrilling! It pushed me to get better, make changes, R&D, and even study war strategies. I'm a scientist so the fact that I could get instant results to my theories and hypotheses was what fulfilled my curiosity. Eventually they changed the game and the only way I would be able to continue was to start over (after I've invested years into my character). I haven't played in over 7 years but still reaping the benefits!

I would say its possible but very unlikely to achieve enlightenment without meditation. During meditation you can experience something called jhana - which is a state where you become fully immersed in meditation. There are different stages of jhana but one of them is is suppose to have a blissful experience that outrivals any substance, orgasm, or euphoric feeling. I don't see why they would want to drink or use unless they were trying to fit in more with the crowd.

By this do you mean you brought it up to him?

I would like to recommend this video. I think there's still a lot we don't know. It's hard to say we know anything for sure

Honestly, I agree with @turkeysub3000. If you look at the situation unbiasedly which can be difficult after watching Leo's videos, feel like you are part of the community on his forum, and feel like the man has honestly helped you. Which in A LOT of ways he's helped all of us and I for one am extremely grateful. That being said he has hundreds of hours of video uploaded online, what are the odds he can slip up? I think Leo wouldn't take offense to constructive criticism, but he can speak for himself.

The strangest thing just happened! I was driving the car listening to the hum of the motor and I visualized the crankshaft and pistons inside moving with the rpm of the engine. I attempted to understand how it works on a molecular level, like how each individual atom vibrates. I experienced how we really are made up of the same one thing, just a bunch of different variables. Constantly vibrating at different frequencies. It's hard to explain but at that moment an influx of thoughts, emotions, and images were being transferred to me but I felt like was receiving way more information than I could process. If I had some time I could separate it all to try and decipher the meaning, but it was WAY to much. I pull to the side of the road and Not even a few seconds later a shiver goes down my spine then I start shivering uncontrollably. A moment after that I got really nauseous and started dry heaving. What can you make of it?

I get it now. I remember a while back I was having a conversation with a Buddhist monk and he was explaining Jhana to me. Not going into to much detail but he said "Its an immensely gratifying experience, and when you reach it do not try to understand it just let it be. The second you try and figure out what it is it will disappear."
