  1. diversion from what ?
  2. a nugget here, most of the work leo is having you do. is craftily (which it has to be) coaxing you to let go of "your" grip of the steering wheel, or rudder, or whatever controlling devise tickles you. notice the flow differences from Morpheus and Neo.
  3. i learned a trade and work for myself, specializing in wood fabrication and re-purposing. i just do it out of my shed, very little overhead.
  4. think of being in a river, lets saaayyy a big, quick moving one, you could do two things, claw your way kicking screaming and swimming to get to the banks (which you cant do but you pretend you can). OR you can relax and go with the current and hope you get to fly off of a really cool waterfall . in either of these scenarios, do you control where the river is flowing? turning? dipping? where the rocks are? AND where the waterfall is? theres lots of names and theories for what guides the course of life, i wouldn't worry about it too much take it as it comes and be open to it and enjoy the ride
  5. i've shared this same revelation. everyone around me treats me the way they perceive the way i want to be treated, when in-fact thats not what i REALLY want, im projecting an image to get what i think is "love" when its just an image being projected and has nothing to do with love in reality and im miserable because of that. no matter what i tell myself and convince myself otherwise when you do it your whole life its easy to get lost and not have a clue who you are. because "who i am" was an image, a show to "get" something. love, acceptance, validity, you name it . and its a different show for different people but with the same theme. But its ok, realizing its a show and game (hurts like fucking hell, but its ok
  6. a camera uses relatively the same concept as your eyes balls
  7. Hi there, what is an ENFP?
  8. A storm cloud all around me every movement is a lightning bolt light, thunder, energy all pulling away from what is not the cloud or so it seems a dull light at the rim draws me near pulling away from the center, i cry and scream. so beautiful is the pain i cant look away a lighthouse so bright shows me the way the fruit are so big but have no juice. a new day has come
  9. that probably wasnt enlightenment experience. there wouldnt have been anything to be "shit scared". in full acceptance of reality theres nothing that can "be" scary this is a theoretical guess of course
  10. id start off with some little things to build some confidence in yourself. using the replacement method may work for you. for example. when your mind is buzzing with "video game" thoughts, go out for a walk, i used to Walk down to the convenience store and eat a candy bar. is it the healthiest thing? no but i get a little bit of pleasure out of it while building confidence in not giving in to the "thingy" im having a problem with. this will be different for you and you'll have to find your own thingies to deal with thingyies for now, BUT its a great start.
  11. babies are like a new glob of play-doh fresh out of the tube. perfect just as it is but will dry out and crack and crumble if you dont "do" anything to it. and who cant resist an un-touched glob of play-doh to mold as you see fit
  12. First and foremost!!! be proud of yourself for standing up and having the courage to say "Fuck this!". you should be very proud and i would use your drive for a better life as the perfect motivator for staying on task and making life more then T.V. video games and interwebs. (non of which there is anything wrong with so dont beat yourself up) .dont worry about numbness, keep meditating 20mins is plenty of time when your starting off,
  13. the environment can create a consensus mindset (hello society, how are ya?) on a micro and macro level. people being "saved" could be coaxed, someone bursting into laughter because they're in the middle of full blown insight? could be coaxed as well. who knows, at the end of the day they're both just experiences. they come and they go. can discuss their staying power like @Salaam was saying. Either way its funny/entertaining/weird/awesome/inspiring ect. ect. all that good stuff or bad stuff, its up to you really
  14. thank you @Natasha
  15. Sounds very familiar. thank you for sharing
  16. "Our Lady Of Electric Light" Clutch They close the curtain To hide from the dawn The Rock-Ola's fire Burns on and on Have no fear the dark of night She walks before us, our lady of electric lights She enters the bar room And lifts her veil With a voice like running water She tells them her tale The patrons all break down at the sight Standing in the presence of our lady of electric lights Tiny plastic sabers Piled high to my knees Though the war rages on I still find no enemies They draw back the curtain Are blinded by the dawn And the shining Rock-Ola Spins on and on Now I know I can no longer fight And I run into the arms of our lady of electric lights Now I know I can no longer fight And I run into the arms of our lady of electric lights
  17. all the relationships are starting to fade. turning black and fizzling off like a candle going out, nothing but smoke and wind and fragrance the spice has left and the sweet remains a bitterness that does not stay, says hi but can be painted and made to last life moving on and the painting stays crying locked in eternally spinning wheel covered by fog i stumble and tumble and roll beat up by the very wheel ive run on until it stops please let it stop life shows me the way but i continue on my own forgetting and remembering perceiving and conceiving is there nothing for me in this place? take my hand and guide me i beg but there's only one there the one i run from staring at me waiting for me to move. God help me
  18. she has her moments
  19. i doubt enlightened people could be "convinced" of anything and thats all those things have to do with. monetary based anything would lose its foothold. (im guessing)
  20. Daughter: Daddy? Where do people come from? Daddy: That's a very good question. What do you think? Daughter: I think we come from outer space. Daddy: Like aliens? Daughter: No, like in an egg, floating around, waiting for a mommy to have a baby. Daddy: Do you remember floating around in outer space? Daughter: No, but i think we all do it, we're like baby gods in eggs floating around waiting for a brain to jump into.
  21. started just listening to one album that i really like, and cut out all else (as an experiment) figured id get sick of it. but i only turn it on every, shit 3 or 4 days or so. (which was excruciating at first btw because i like a lot of different types of music) funny thing. im not sick of it, and its popping up constantly. which does change my mindset think i may switch up the genre all together or give it up all together just to see what happends im not advocating for or against music just sharing my personal experiment
  22. knowing/experience no inquiry needed . "knowing"/belief inquiry very necessary ill roll with @Grant6 easter eggs. To look for the egg without actually knowing there is an egg to find, a belief in an egg being there has to be in place, otherwise you wouldnt look for it. (not "knowing"/believing it's there would make an inquiry impossible) if (just for example) you placed the egg there.(or went out and found it) you know/experienced that there really is an egg and where it is. no is inquiry necessary
  23. let them come and let them go... and appreciate them without judgment.
