  1. Watched a good doc. "That sugar film". WOW, pretty insightful. Any other recommendations on some health documentaries?
  2. @SpiritualGangsta i think we all a work in progress however I've only just started my journey. Still have alot to learn
  3. No, the opposite. A good self image has no limiting beliefs
  4. When I'm alone my mood is low. If my circumstances were different and they will be, i would join several high quality activities like imprav, tennis, golf, toastmaster. Another thing to ponder is why is solitary confinement the worse punishment. I don't think it's good to be alone, however time to yourself is needed too.
  5. @Anicko I'm not worried about harming my body, I'm just wondering if i didnt drink coffee would i actually be more alert and be able to focus. Maybe it's a myth that coffee makes you more aware. I'm going to try eliminate coffee from my diet and see what happens
  6. I start the day with a cup of coffee. If i don't i get a pretty bad headache. Does drinking coffee affect your brain? I'm wondering if i get off this addiction will my brain function better?
  7. @The Alchemist i actually feel the same way. I wonder if its the activity that needs upgraded and not the people. I've joined toastmasters and it the thing i look forward to the most. I'm not friends with anybody in there but i just love it.
  8. @The Alchemist sometimes the person you don't want to socialize with will know someone that you will want to social with. I think there i a difference between shallow person and a toxic person. I wouldn't bother with toxic people but some shallow relationships have actually surprised me
  9. What are considered shallow relationships? Is it better to have shallow relationships than no relationships? The problem I'm struggling with is that i seldom meet people that i find interesting or add value to me.
  10. @Sigma self help books or any books. I'm thinking of reading the divergence trilogy but now I'm wondering if ill get any value out of that. I would describe my English as poor so atleast any reading will help with that.
  11. You've made good point here. I've always had the belief that the more social you are the happier you are. During my breaks at work i used to walk around the building listening to podcasts. "How stuff works" etc. Recently I've been walking with random people but i don't feel like im getting as much value as listening to podcasts. I'm wondering in order to be happy do we have to always be learning? What do you do for fun?
  12. @Jesper would you say programming is something you enjoy? Can it be a life purpose? I studied java script but i cant say i really enjoyed it. But I'm wondering if i become a expert of programming would it be enjoyable. Do activities needed to be enjoyable off the bat? Good thing about programming is that it pays well and is in demand.
  13. I live in fl with 2 kids and a wife. Comfy job. I was thinking to move nh as family is there. I was wondering what goals others people have. I would like some success stories and some struggles if you don't mind sharing. Hopefully your stories will give me the courage to get my ass in gear and do something.
  14. @Jesper awesome, i want to move to software dev. What programming language do you recommend?
