I think it’s harder to embody your deepest insights while having strong commitments and purpose. it’s like the story in the alchemist of trying to take in the sights of a beautiful palace while balancing an egg on a spoon. This could also differentiate how gurus appear to us I mean, even a chimp would be enlightened if they were liberated from their duty of being a chimp -

@The0Self what path do you suspect might be the best way to get to the most ultimate truth, if there are better or worse paths? -

Haha, I’ve gotta be workin’ construction tomorrow, 6:30 sharp! i do think there’s value in considering these things though, because one does choose a path using the mind at least in part. The mind has to have some sort of a map. -
Intuition, passion, interest, curiosity, let it flow baby

10 months from now I should be able to quit my job and live off my savings for 1-2 years if I play it right. I want a skill that can make me good money (USD $60k+), preferably remotely. I hear people talking about python programming. Is that a reliable way to make good money? Can it be learned in 1-2 years? I'm clueless about this stuff. What skill would you develop? All suggestions welcomed.

I was 16, thought I was enlightened after watching his “most shocking truth” video explaining enlightenment. I turned out to just be an atheist in a minor depression. it did introduce me to spiritual not religious, my internal life slowly improved from there, now 23, feel good as baseline with higher self-esteem, currently feeling bad about “wage slavery” but I’ll make it out! i made a thread about it called “I will have 1-2 years to develop a skill full time. Help me choose” I feel myself developing into a strong human being.

@Frenk what do you like about it?
-
I’m not sure yet. that makes sense. I could try to get clear on what role I want to play in coding, then niche down. Then tailor a portfolio to a specific job type. @mw711 ive taken the course. I want to be a teacher/messenger, but no one will pay me for the things I want to teach at this point. I’m better off loosening the grip of wage slavery and gaining more life experience and free time to transition.

@PepperBlossoms yeah, it’s all meaningless haha. Story of my life lately. Good point though, the creative aspect is very important for being able to enjoy it. @Stovo nice, maybe that is something I could capitalize on.
-
I see what you are saying, but right now my passion is having at least basic control over my life. ? @Stovo i will look into blockchain programming, thanks. What makes you mention it though?
-
@something_else @Stovo Cool. So since I have no experience with programming, I will want to start checking out some of the different options to see which I like most. Any opinions on a good method for figuring out which language and area to focus on, at least at first?

Of you have high self-esteem you don’t see people’s words as attacks on your self-esteem. It’s sort of a double bond that you are in.

Why pro and anti? Can’t we just add nuance?

No one does this because no one was thought to do this and hardly anyone can imagine more than 5 years in the future. you hardly even need to in my opinion. just stop being negative about how shitty your situation is, give up your comfort and do what you need to do to get what you want. Try to follow your intuition and build on your successes. “I wish I did this, I wish I did that” I work with physical laborers who will probably die not long after retirement who don’t even complain so much. even if you die, who cares.Worst case scenario you’re just gonna come back to another earth like existence. And you’ll only do that if you soul CHOOSES to. You signed up for this dense experience, remember? Because you are a brave soul. Stop fearing things. I don’t even mind wage slavery right now. I just want to get laid so I will do that. when it’s time to exit wage slavery I’ll do that too. Of course I can give my future self better chances, but hell, you can’t plan everything anyway. -I’m just ranting, and I might be “”wroaoaoaoanngggggg””””” So please correct me

Do pickup as wage slave, buy cheaper condo instead of renting—> transcend pressing need to get laid—>sell condo and buy a van and live in it + work part-time or seasonally—> work on your skill as much as you can might Actually work out half decent. there are probably plenty ways to pull this stuff off. Including starting a business. You’ll need to be scrappy but shit, we aren’t actual field slaves here. If you have children this gets harder, but still possible. i wouldn’t lose hope My dad was a recovering alcoholic and drug user, got sober, took a few business courses, borrowed money and started a hair salon while living in a halfway house, had a family, talked to wealthy salon clients while cutting their hair and got in on their businesses, worked hard cutting hair and on the new business, made like 2+ million, paid for 2 colleges, bought a big second house, started a pizza business that failed while still cutting hair, now he’s got involved with one of the top doctors in the world to start a vaccine company and could possibly retire with millions from it. he slaves away cutting hair, but if he minimized his liabilities he could have broken out of wage slavery. he was simply scrappy and pretty brave. It’s a shitty attitude that will keep you stuck more than anything unless you are in an especially poor situation, which vast majority of us are not or could still get out of. Read first 45 pages of Man’s Search For Meaning by Victor Frankl in one sitting and then contemplate your own life.

Reality is fully created by thought. The end. You could let yourself wither away, if you don’t think you are dying, you won’t be dying. The notion of wage slavery has no reality whatsoever. it is literally God. People hating their jobs is God. A cosmic joke. what is their soul thinking? self-actualization is a fun religion where is your potential? Please point to it. But people really do feel bad! sure, if you think that, God. But I want to escape wage slavery! Go ahead.

Man, I wish I knew. but I like to take up the challenge of navigating life (creating life) with joy, although it gets stressful sometimes. keep doin your best, you won’t regret it!

MLK! dont overthink it. They gotta learn just like all of us did, slowly, in their own time they will grow

Know that you can trust your own experience and no need to judge it, even if it doesn’t fit into what society or family tells you is “correct” Usually it is best to focus the majority of your energy and time on personal development if you are not already in a position of abundance and feel lack. use your judgment and know that you can take your time. There is no rush. it’s usually best to focus on one area of improvement at a time.

Pickup is good for this. Blue collar jobs can help too I’ve found? consider joining an underground fightclub as well. You can push the limits a little bit. Leo once recommended taking 5+ minutes ordering at Starbucks during peak hour and holding up the line. I gave speeches at the mall to strangers. If they say they don’t want to hear your speech when you ask, go ahead and give it to them anyway. try being mindful of how you are sacrificing your integrity and own needs while you are doing it and make an effort to stop. it’s a long journey of growth, you don’t get permanently better over night.
