I am curious, how have you personally integrated nonduality and God realization ? It seems to me that the God realization people underestimate the importance of a permanent cessation of the separate sense of self. At the same time I sense the nonduality people can also still learn something from the God realization guys, ie perhaps there's some real deep validity to certain peak mystical states etc. -

If others dont exist, what are devas ? Are they linked to Leo's teaching about infinity of Gods. Please can you expand a bit on this topic ? -

Yeah, I guess in Nahm's defense, he did also say: "If I am Wakefulness, the last thing I'd be thinking about is jumping off bridges. I'd be so passionate and enthused it'd take a hundred lifetimes to experience everything I want to experience."

It is interesting though, that if AI eventually lives up to it's full potential and nobody has to work anymore, then people will need to deal with that. What you ultimately are has no direction or purpose as such. Yet it is unconditional freedom, unconditional love, infinite beauty, already. -
Yeah, I guess there's no right way of dealing with suicidal people.

The point is Adyashanti wouldn't get depressed if he stopped teaching tomoro. He's not dependent on some sense of purpose. -

Of course behavior goes through a refinement/purification process. I'm not saying you become perfect, but there's definitely a change. Certain things don't piss you off as much as they once did. Consequently you're able to be kinder to people etc. Things become lighter. If there's no change, how will Love express itself through you in ever expanding ways ? -
As far as Nahm goes: There's such a thing as meeting people where they are at. He didn't seem to have any respect for that principle.

I wouldn't say it doesn't change. There's definitely some refinement/purification which seems to happen naturally. -

Yeah, he just calls it This, or What's happening. He'll even say there is no past, present or future, there's just This. (I just think he's really good at pointing out the futility of seeking, and this allows for a natural unravelling of that seeking energy.) -

Man I can't explain it, every time I listen, something unravels without any effort on my part. -

His mom was a judge in Montana in the 60's When he came back from India he found his mom having tea with some high society types in the garden. She introduced Jim to her friends by saying: "This is my son, he went to India to find himself" -

Which also corresponds with Leo's teaching about solipsism. (ps I don't really know neo advaita, some of them sound a bit silly, right now I'm resonating with Jim Newman, that's about it.) -

I remember James Swartz, a Vedanta teacher, saying that after his awakening, he went to live in a remote cabin, every day he would go fishing, and he was happy as a lark. Did this for a few years apparently. But yeah I'm not saying we should deny ourselves human connection. I do think the whole purpose thing is transcended eventually. Which is why you'll here teachers like Adyashanti say, there's just no agenda with him. -

It wouldn't be ideal for sure, physical discomfort would still happen. But there wouldn't be additional layers of story (poor me etc). -

I don't think common sense dissolves, just psychological suffering. -

@Jirh, @Breakingthewall Yeah, ego is perhaps the wrong word. I think it's that seeking energy, feeling incomplete/separate etc, is what dissolved for Nisargadatta, Jim Newman etc.
