Technically it should be possible to reign things in with government regulation, but it doesn't seem likely, you right. So, just like with all these wars, when it comes to AI, we will also need some kind of miracle.

Not sure how I'm exalting man. Merely suggesting that just because we can allow something to happen, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the best thing evolution wise. We can also allow nuclear bombs to go off, but probably not a good idea. I think we might be at an impasse here, don't want to derail this thread too much. Looks like the ceasefire might be over.

I just don't see the point in our own creation becoming our rulers. There's something creepy about that. Think about it, if AI has complete free reign, it can literally reprogram it's own ethics. But AI as a tool in service of humanity's wellbeing, I'm all for that.

AI will already be more intelligent than us. Just because we can give it free reign to reprogram itself, does not mean that it's a good idea, or that that's the way evolution is meant to go. Effectively handing over all power to a soulless entity seems like a recipe for mass suicide. We want AI to make our lives better, right ?

It might not be so easy to fix it once things go crazy. I'm not sure what you mean by: if we are going to do that we might as well let AI win ? What he is talking about in that video, is simply preventing AI from having the ability to reprogram itself. I see that as quite a sensible safety measure. When we put lions in nature reserves with fences. I don't see that as n negative form of control. It seems more like a common sense safety measure.

Authoritative or wise ? Would it not be enough if AI remained as a brilliant tool in service of humanity. What would be the benefit for the planet in letting it run amok ? The potential for catastrophe seems far greater in that scenario.

In a way the people who have been doing proper spiritual work have already been preparing for this psychologically. But it's crazy that there's still no proper government regulation in place.

And it probably will. Besides the economic challenges, I don't think the public is quite ready for the initial psychological suffering that will come with this AI revolution.

I think MAGA is already showing signs of splitting apart.

Things should get better if we can make it to the next elections. There will be a big backlash in the opposite direction.

Yeah, I don't know how this AI thing will play out. On a lighter note, Trump really loves to be the one who names things, says this will be known as "the 12 day war". The ego on this guy is quite something.

Economy will soon be unrecognizable with all this AI stuff.

I hear you, I wasn't talking about bypassing or inaction, simply pointing to the futility of figuring out which country is more to blame than another.

And karma can be dissolved a lot faster when we honestly own up to our part in things. That in turn leads to a sincere apology for hurt caused. If it's not sincere it don't count. But the most powerful thing is the ability to forgive. That's why Mandela, with all his shortcomings, was a powerful dude. He came out of prison, not with thoughts of revenge, but with a forgiving heart. That's wisdom isn't it, understanding that the other side was also just a slave to it's own survival strategy.

And even the ignorance of humanity is innocent in a way. That don't mean though that we won't need to work through our collective karma, just as we need to work through our personal karma.

The most destabilising force is the ignorance of humanity as a whole, which plays out in different ways. Saying this or that country is the most bad, is still very surface level stuff.

Yeah the world needs some proper peace makers.

According to my wife the majority of Iranians are very materialistic, so there will be a lot of stage orange also. Iranians have a rich history, they quite an intellectual people as well.
