It wouldn't be ideal for sure, physical discomfort would still happen. But there wouldn't be additional layers of story (poor me etc).

I don't think common sense dissolves, just psychological suffering.

@Jirh, @Breakingthewall Yeah, ego is perhaps the wrong word. I think it's that seeking energy, feeling incomplete/separate etc, is what dissolved for Nisargadatta, Jim Newman etc.

Many years ago, there was girl in one of my classes at university, who was in a terrible car crash. Afterwards her face was distorted, she couldn't speak, saliva freely rolled down from the corners of her mouth. At first everyone thought she was permanently mentally handicapped, like a vegetable. Meanwhile her mental faculties were actually still fine. She had a kind of awakening like that. Wrote a book assisted by one of those type of machines that Hawkins used.

I think there's this perception that when there's a permanent cessation of the seeker/separation, that you'll just be a blob laying in a corner of the room. But I don't see any reason why spirit and intelligence can't still do its thing, there's just no personal ownership of it all, ie no psychological suffering. Nature seems to be doing just fine without ego etc.

Carl's gonna ask you to go through 20K of Nahm's posts to find that specific one. It's just uncanny how many people remember him giving inappropriate advice. But you won't change Carl's mind on the topic of Nahm, it's useless, I've tried.

Fair enough. I still think some discernment goes a long way. Maybe spamming the nondual stuff has some value too, who knows.

Most people here propably have a secular background, so connection with Christ consciousness etc will be rare. The church made Jesus an easy target lol.

I just need to say one final thing here to clear up the apparent misunderstanding. Clearly you're acknowledging that he did at times give nondual advice when people were looking for practical life advice. The main point is simply this: It's not helpful, ie bad timing. And this shows some lack of wisdom, that's all. But you'll never acknowledge that in a million years

I remember enjoying the original Silent Hill movie, quite a work of art. But I'm curious, what was deep about SAW ? I just can't get myself to watch something like that.

I was there the day before Nahm got banned, and I remember looking at something he wrote thinking, man is this really helpful ? Are you expecting me to have exact recordings of what he said 5 years ago 🙂 I can see Nahm still has a soft spot in your heart, God bless him.

Yeah, this type of stuff sucks. Im still telling you there's a different energy about Jim and the message unravels things quickly when truly heard, but you just listened to his laugh🙂

Not sure what exactly you referring to. I never claimed Leo didn't make any mistakes. The topic right now is that perhaps Nahm was not quite as wise as some people thought.

Carl, your a smart guy, but you have a hard time admitting when your wrong. All I have been doing here is trying to get you to acknowledge that Ulax made a good point earlier, which you cleverly tried to intellectually analyze your way out of. "A guy could've been homeless, on food stamps and asking about how to find a job, and Nahm would've told him it was just a thought. Leo demoting him was very reasonable." Yes, it can be dangerous to give nondual advice, especially when someone needs to take action to make practical changes in their life. Leo had good reason to let him go.

Giving nondual advice when someone is suffering and actually needs some practical common sense life solutions, is not just annoying, it can be dangerous, and it showed lack of wisdom on Nahm's part, no matter how good his intentions.

You don't think the actual context (nonduality vs God realization) of most of the original disagreements, was slightly overlooked here ? Seems like the elephant in the room to me.

I'm not saying Leo didn't make any mistakes in the way that he handled disagreements. What I'm saying is that most of the focus here has been placed on just that, ie how disagreements were handled. From what I can tell there wasn't that much focus on the actual context of the disagreements. Which pretty much seems to be: nonduality vs God realization (dating all the way back to the days of Nahm) As a personal example: Recently I really got into radical nonduality, especially the work of Jim Newman. For me it really feels like a big opening of Grace is happening that will take me all the way. Leo told me in no uncertain terms: "It's just not the Full Monty." Now, it might take me all the way, it might not. I'm still open to learning, and I still do learn from Leo. Am I now going to fight Leo on this specific topic. What would be the point ? Just follow ur own resonance at the time. It's kinda simple really. (So much unnecessary drama)
