  1. I think I heard Daniel Schmachtenberger say that one of the problems with climate change is that there will be too many climate refugees who can't survive in places like India and who are going to want to immigrate to places like Europe. The problem is that none of the countries there want to take more immigrants under their wings, which will lead to conflict and potentially war. The repercussions of which will be huge considering people now know how to build their own drones and bioweapons in basements. A lot of people in India are highly educated and know how to do shit like this. People won't just die peacefully.
  2. One time I was so lost in monkey mind while meditating (trying to meditate is more accurate) that I didn't even hear my timer go off for a few minutes. Volume was on full blast and there was no noise around me. I remember it felt like walking out of a thick fog when I actually realized that the timer was ringing. Feel free to make fun of me
  3. @gettoefl How long do you go for usually?
  4. Actually, he was her yoga student, and that's how they met
  5. So I found His wife's youtube channel. hope you find it useful. https://www.youtube.com/@PlayDenProductions/featured Also, there are some podcast episodes with her that I really enjoyed.
  6. Is this why you choose not to optimize the website for mobile? I would assume it's a choice you're making considering your background in SEO. Otherwise I guess that could be something to improve.
  7. lol. Kanye may be crazy but his art is S tier.
  8. @Thought Art I started balding at 16 (now 19). I too love Justin Vernon, and I think he is a great example of the confidence people talk about in these contexts. He has said in the past, and this is a paraphrase: "it's dangerous when you start playing that game of how marketable you are, what's really important is the authenticity and the art and love something something blablabla." Try to separate your art, creation, and work from your ego and carnal tethers. View yourself merely as a vessel of divine creation. A vehicle running errands for god with less resistance for every day that passes. (This is a ridiculously powerful vision to fuel you.) You would certainly sell more if you looked like Justin Bieber. But wouldn't it be more inspiring to at the end of your life know that the qigong courses you sold were because you actually provided something really awesome and valuable? Because you were the most authentic and loving teacher who cared the most? Not because your customers thought you were hot. Yucky, spare me. Sex appeal in marketing is for stage orange mouthbreathers. Being hot is nothing to hang in your Christmas tree, a really well-mastered craft certainly is. I think this is what makes Justin Vernon so inspiring to me. You can just tell that he cares SOOOOOOOO much about what he's doing and that he couldn't care less about his fucking looks or hair. Because he doesn't give a fuck about being bald, neither do I. And because he really gives a fuck about his art, so do I. Besides, you have too few units of life force to spend on this type of nonsense. Read this book: https://www.amazon.com/Subtle-Art-Not-Giving-Counterintuitive/dp/0062457713 . PS Justin Vernon could be drowning in pussy if that was what he wanted, but he probably has more important shit to do.
  9. I recently learned to appreciate cilantro which used to make me wanna throw up.
  10. Kale. you can do all kinds of things with kale. Throw them in the oven with some olive oil, salt and pepper and you can make chips. Arugula. Its bitterness gives depth to any dish that few other foods can. Can be beautifully combined with other, more clement foods like tomatoes, and cabbage. Turnip cabbage/kohlrabi. Was introduced to this wonderful vegetable when I counted ballots in the recent Swedish election by an old german woman (now a Swedish citizen) who taught me a great deal about nutrition, yoga, meditation, and psychedelics. Butternut pumpkin. It's so creamy. Very underrated. Spinach is incredibly nutritious (as are the other items on this list) and can be mixed into almost any dish. Love me some pomelo but I gotta keep it in moderation because of how extremely palatable they are. Also, I don't like that they have to be imported from far away. I love the tedious process of peeling them for some reason haha.
  11. Will I lose momentum with my affirmations if I slightly change the wording, e. g. "I love being confident" to "I am always confident"? And also what are some good affirmations for attracting girls. ty
  12. @MarkKol Imagine if you as an artist could give the people who interact with your work just 1 unit of inspiration, new perspectives, pleasure, elevated consciousness, beauty, love for reality, curing depression, etc. Wouldn't that be pretty powerful? Especially if your work reaches many people. I struggle with this question myself a lot because we can't really go out there with a ruler and measure our impact as artists the way an engineer can get a clear number of however many people have been helped by their work. Nevertheless, we know that art has a massive impact on people, and in some cases that impact can be life-changing especially if they happen to get 100 or 1000 units of "art-benefit". Maybe someone will hear your music and dislike it so much that it inspires them to work really hard on their own LP. hahaha we can't really know Idk, the impact of art is kind of whimsical, intangible, unquantifiable yet really fucking real at the same time.
  13. Isn't this illegal? What if she reports you to the police?
  14. I was lucky enough to watch the whole thing. Actually, I kind of appreciate that it's no longer available. I guess it forces me not to rely upon Leo.
  15. Do you find that it makes a difference whether you meditate for 1 hour, 3x20min, or 2x30min, etc in one day?
  16. What do you think we should be teaching kids? If anything at all?
  17. Hey! I am tempted to try some psychedelics for personal development but I am 18 and worried that it might stunt my brain development. Is this just the "say no to drugs" seminars I attended in middle school lingering or is it a valid concern I have? happy to hear your thoughts
  18. What if I would have used the word cautious instead?
  19. Since they are both at around blue it's basically the same as bible study right? To them, it's just dogma. Although still beneficial as long as they develop the nuance later.
  20. I agree. I really don't need psychedelics right now. I'm just kinda curious but I will happily wait until 25. I kinda see it as a tool that I will only unlock on higher levels.
  21. Yeah, a girl in my high school (17 at the time) tried a pretty large dose of DMT willy-nilly without any theoretical knowledge of spirituality or anything like that. She ended up getting so freaked out by what she experienced that she temporarily regressed from a solid stage green to blue and went to a pastor to repent her sins. LOL
