@BadHippie That's right, this is just the basic distinction between view and conduct. View is pure awareness, conduct is the constraints necessary to be enacted by a localized system that pure awareness is being expressed through (such as breathing oxygen, eating food ect). While it may appear that he's collapsing the distinction in order to say something profound to my "ego" really it's just a doge so that he can avoid confronting this issue with any depth.

If you desire to experience the entire universe naturally it will come as a byproduct of finding out who is it that cares about it? Enlightenment, super-awareness, telepathy ect.. You want all of this? Then find out who wants it, you can possess all these things when your goal is to not possess them. Enquiry must be done every day morning, noon and night, there is no shortcuts.

@Absolute They are illusory because of the belief they exist apart from you which is what creates the need to pursue them, this is because desire can only exist if there is something separate from the subject who desires, when that separation is not there desire no longer exists. As a result desire is selfish by its nature but the source from which desire comes from is not so.

@Hello from Russia You misunderstand, desire for such things cannot bring you true happiness and peace, supernatural powers are illusory appearances and are only desired for the purpose of enjoying fame, pleasures, curiosity etc. Instead of pursuing them find the source from which such desires and thoughts arise and establish yourself there.
