  1. TYT, while they do present some good perspectives politically, fail to open up to and understand the full spectrum of humanity.
  2. @MsNobody Brazil gonna make it to Finals this time around, I know it in my gut
  3. I forgot about that LMAOOO I'm so happy Germany won, I made $150 bucks that day
  4. Comedy reality series of the year
  5. Gotta be Italy hands down
  6. I was thinking about doing a Vipassana retreat right before I start my first job. I know it would cost me a good $1000, but would it be worth the money, especially right before my first job. Is there a risk of it coming in the way of my performance at my first job?
  7. After reading some of his work like "The Stranger" and "The Fall", I think Camus' perspective best captures questions we have as MODERN men. While the Buddha, Socrates, and other Ancient philosophers brought many profound questions in the history of humanity, the questions that Camus presents in his works can easily relate to our day to day lives. I think the way he presents Absurdism in his novels is so hitting because it relates to our everyday modern realities. If anyone wants to get into Absurdism, definitely check out "The Stranger".
  8. Literally the same here. If there's one thing that The Stranger taught me, it's that we all die the same, no matter how great we are. Really put things in perspective.
  9. Yea presents it rather comfortably
  10. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho Siddartha by Herman Hesse The Stranger by Albert Camus Crossings by Alex Landrigin

  13. I just watched a video of Leo doing a solo retreat, and he said that for a Vipassana retreat, you would have to throw at least $1000. More if there is travel costs involved.

  15. I meant blue politically lol Also I might or might not accept a job offer in Charlotte NC. What's it like living there @Terell Kirby? What are some cool things to do as a 23/24 year old living by himself in Charlotte?
  16. Not really, Austin is blue. Most Californians and NYers priced out usually move there. They say Texas is going to go blue in a few years actually.
  17. Acceptance from every facet of my life. Social acceptance from my family, my classmates at school, my colleagues at work, and from my girlfriend.
  18. Don't go to India. It's not some romanticized spiritual wonderland with mystics roaming the streets. It's just pollution, and a frustratingly morally uptight, stage blue population that don't even fully understand the vedic texts. If you like horrible traffic, rabid stray dogs everywhere, cigarette smoker, and chaos, then please go. But don't waste your education and life for a false idea of the "spiritual" path. You will be disappointed.
  19. I think Putin should just eat shit, as simple as that. That fascist will never want to understand God, he just wants power.
  20. I've been to Austin when I was super young, but from what I remember it's nice weather, like all year round. Contrary to what most people would think of Texas, Austin is extremely diverse, with people from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. If you love diverse food options and some of the country's best bbq, then Austin is the place.
  21. I think this forum is dedicated to self-improvement.....you can discuss those things during your own time in real life No but seriously....you know there is a world beyond this forum
