  1. Ive seen recently a couple of videos (thin they were San francisco but not sure). People were looting in broad daylight inside shops and nobody seemed to mind or care, not even the workers there. Nobody tried to stop them or do anything or seemed even surprised. Im confused, has stealing been made legal
  2. This sounds like an decision of Kindergarten kids. How long has that been in place?
  3. Nice video on the people who make profits on war in US. Esp the last one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqxgP8WlxJQ
  4. Hi Leo mentioned a book in the Detox video that is worth reading but i dont remember it and dont know anymore at which time he mentioned it
  5. https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Leo_Gura#External_links I just found this and found it to be rather funny. Who writes these? Some quotes: How he argues Gura's stock phrase responses. Since Gura's arguments are sometimes outright demonstrably false and brainless (hahahah, get it?), the way in which he manages to convince anyone that he's talking sense is through his rhetoric. Many of Gura's videos begin with directing a misuse of the appeal to authority fallacy. The fallacy is usually distorted as "credentials are worthless" and that trusting a source of information as reputable is an error in itself. By building on this line of reasoning, Gura establishes himself as the authority, because unlike those with doctorates and Nobel Prizes, he can demonstrate he's right. This is not to say that scientific experts on scientific topics are to be blindly trusted, but Gura being mistaken about a great deal of scientific topics doesn't stop him from circumventing logic. Except Gura refuses to explain anything. The usual strategy for evading questions is maintaining that only Gura understands the subject at hand and that attempting to explain Gura's claims is an exercise in futility, since decades of study are necessary for their comprehension. Another tactic is to simply label his critics "materialists". Abuse of Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem Gura invokes a bad interpretation of Gödel's incompleteness theorems. As an aside, Gura repeatedly prefaces these views by claiming that the mathematics behind these theorems is really complex and you won't understand it, yet it is clear that he fundamentally misunderstands what these proofs are even about. In the video "Metaphysical Implications Of Godel's Incompleteness Theorem",[13] he begins with a 20 minute preamble explaining that if you don't trust his opinions on the topic, you're making the same error a Christian makes in taking the Pope's opinion as fact. Furthermore, it doesn't matter if somebody has a PhD or Nobel Prize, they still don't understand these matters as well as Gura does. hehe some nice Info, i wonder if people read these and then judge. I guess they do
  6. Hi I recently started to study Gamedesign and teach me to code in my free time. I expirience alot of mental fatigue and low endurance(~20/30min) during my periods of learning those things (especially when coding). Prior to this i had about 3/4 years out of collegue where I did mostly physical work, drugs, games and parties. So i realize that sure alot of it comes down to repetition and retrain my ability to learn and absorb information. What would your tips be how i can retrain myself to be more focused. Things i can think off is good Nutrition, Excercise, Cut down on high Stimulations, get a good sleeeping Scedule, have a working scedule and follow a Routine
  7. Hi Im currently studying Gamedesign and teaching myself basic coding in my free time. While coding is not part of my Study i want to learn it so i can work independently on small projects for myself. So my question is what is the most effective way of learning to code? I currently work in Unity with visual studio (c#) and do youtube tutorials where they teach me basic game coding like doing a basic version of angry birds and games like that. I just worry that the things they teach wont stuck in my head as i mostly go thru the motions they teach in the videos and i want to actually develop knowledge so i can write the codes by myself in the future without looking at tutorials the whole time. Any suggestions on what to do? Or is the best way to just code code code?
  8. @Vivaldodont know if u can get into clubs or so since u dont say ur age but here: https://mysupremacy.com/easiest-way-get-laid/ doesnt get any easier then that
  9. Thanks everybody for all the answers. Cant wait for the long road ahead =)
  10. Cool thanks for the answer. Do you recommend literature or would it be best to learn it through the process of coding itself?
  11. I live in Germany and come from Croatia. Croatia is much poorer then Germany and also very sunny and warm. The people there are not friendly, except in tourist places and when money is involved. The difference in friendliness is huge. When i visit switzerland, a country even wealthier, the people there are even more hearthwarming and friendly. I do get the notion of oeple living more village like, outside of big towns, being open to let u in their house etc as i expirienced that too, but theres also not much rampant crime in areas were only a few people live
  12. so what happend to the vaccine appointment?
  13. Dont post those videos, thats conspiracy
  14. Society is getting more and more sexualized, making people more primitive.
  15. Reading throgh the forum i saw alot of discussions pop esp around the vaccine and often threads getting closed on sometimes reasonable discussions around that and read the guidelines on not being allowed to post about genral conspiracys. now my question is doesnt that deny people growth and alienate them? For clarification: Before i got introduced by mild conspiracys by a friend i was standart materialistic/mainstream believer of things, nothing to special but also not much critical thinking and questioning. I then went thru a hardcore phase of conspiracies, from rather harmless ones about corruption and the rich manipulating society to hardcore ones like holocaust question, aliens and all that crazy stuff. I also talked to people online and found people localy who were into those same topics. These topics "opened" my mind to possibilities that the world could be completly different then i thought it was before. This led ultimately for me and another friend i made thru the conspiracies to question more about the world, which led in the end to more fundamental questions about the world, the human mind, philosophie etc. At some point we grew out of the consp. stuff and went into the pursue of enlightment, personal development, purpouse etc. Without being able to go thru all the conspiracie stuff and without being able to express it to people with/without those opinios we wouldnt have found the deeper and more extencial topics/questions in life. So my question is: are we not alienating people by banning them/closing topics/telling them they are full of BS? Will they then not shelter themselves even more into their believes, just retreating into echo chambers of people who are the same, never growing out of it? Sure some topics are straight up not acceptable( the jewish question for example, pure racism), but talks about people controlling polliticians etc are not hurting and maybe just what they need to take the next step
  16. lol thx for the elaboration on my question. you can close this off.
  17. The flappy bird example was i guess more of the idea of stupid shallow entertainment for the gain of alot of money and less work to earn capital to make higher quality games. at least thats how i see it and the mobile market is sadly the most profitable
  18. Ah and doing a 2D Game is a idea i also had in mind for the start, best would be if it is playable on mobile. @abrakamowse maybe we could do some simple jump and run? or something more stupid like flappy birds which sells millions of copies
  19. awesome how many replies there are here already. As i only getstarted i am still overwhelmed by the amount of information u are all providing here @abrakamowse i will look into godot this week and tell you my progress in it. You mentioned u would like to do some point and click adventure. While i do not like the games as a player, they leave a lot of creative freedom in the writing. Do you hae a setting you would like to explore? I thought it would be interesting t have a Adventure in the south american setting, similar as the 10000 BC movie, where you start as the Son of a Tribal chief and your first puzzles would resolve around the cration of your own weapon and tools so you can do a initiation test of your "Adulthood" and porve worthy of being the next leader of the Tribe. This would serve as a tutorial into the Game. After you have become the leader we could have branching paths in the story wehe decisions lead to differnent outcomes and endings. A neighbooring Tribe is a cause of concern, do you go to war or try to merge through marriage? going to war could lead to a better survival at first for your tribe but leads to a path where you would be vurnerable to future sotypoint where you meed bigger tribes while the merge could lead to desasters like famine because there are to many people now to feed. The puzzles would be liked to historical innovations like farming and crafting of tools, which would make for a interesting learning expirience for the player as he has to figure out what people had to figure out 10000 years ago to survive. A mulitseries of this game would be possible with each installment following the next Heir, leading to the discovery of more advanced people and the invasion of the spanish. Just as a thought process @Dumivid Cool that you have already done games, i will gladly play them. Do you do them solo? If we are to do a project then how would we divide the work? How i think about it if everyone knows a bit of everything that would be way less effective then if we would specialize in the different aspects of a game like programming, design, music, marketing etc. But that only as a thought of somebody who doesnt yet know enough about what it really takes to create a quality game.
  20. Why so self judging about it? Imo peopl get alot wrong about spirituality and ego by following rules someone sets up as "the path" like being a yogi is better then modding games. reality was created to expirience itself. Everything in it. If you are drawn to the creation of your mods then this is yout current path of spirituality. And one day you will change this path or maybe stay on it for the rest of your life. It will depend upon which part of reality you are to expirience in this existence. Sure you need to be aware of traps of the ego. But right now you are creating something and is not the path of creation considered spirituality?
  21. Hi I would be interested to know about your expiriences and what you are exactly doing. My Dream is to create a gaming company for indie games and maybe more one day. I am not a programmer myself but a storywriter and i am starting to learn musiccomposing by next wednesday with a friend who is a professional classical musician and great artist (drawing). Would you be so kind and share with me what you have learned so far? maybe we could do a project togheter? EDIT: or you could teach me the basics you have learned so far. maybe getting into the programming itself would be also a good start
