@Woke456 Yeah yeah, we get it, you hate minorities so much that you'd bring up a topic nobody was discussing and assuming we hold this position because it favors minorities. You'll have to search for a LONG time to find anybody who actually believes the borders should merely by opened up for all newcomers. -

Just proudly have your blatant ignorance on display. Nevermind that I cited a mountain of evidence pertaining to systemic racism. Here's more "proof" that black criminality is not inherent to POC genetically, but is in fact socio-economically determined. Predictably, you won't acknowledge it as valid because you are probably a literal neo-nazi. Sources: Criminology (2003) study found that environmental and social differences accounted for the gap in crime rates among racial groups, not simply innate tendencies of any race. https://www.academia.edu/19482806/EXPLAINING_RACIAL_AND_ETHNIC_DIFFERENCES_IN_SERIOUS_ADOLESCENT_VIOLENT_BEHAVIOR_ Developmental Psychology (1986) study observing mean IQ scores among black/interracial children raised by white parents relative to black parents, finding that the differences in socialization "were large enough to account for virtually entire Black-White IQ gap," undeniably giving merit to the environmental argument. https://data.information.dk/upload/2019/viden/Moore.pdf World Archaeology (2006) study debunking claims that evolutionary genetics account for intelligence gaps between prehistoric blacks and whites. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/249007312_Africanist_archaeology_and_ancient_IQ_Racial_science_and_cultural_evolution_in_the_twenty-first_century West Virginia University - The Research Repository (2010) study found implicit racial bias among courtroom judgements of ambiguous evidence and verifies jurors are significantly more likely perceive race-neutral evidence against dark-skinned suspects as incriminating, contributing to black incarceration, thus bolstering environmental disadvantages. https://researchrepository.wvu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1315&context=wvlr -

This just in: Derek Chauvin lover foams at the mouth over empirical statistics incontestably proving systemic racism. My good sir, I'm afraid you may be outright devastated by the pending epiphany of how staggeringly dim-witted you undeniably are, if it ever somehow occurred to you. The existence of the statistic you've posted does not negate anything I have cited. I cannot even fathom being so laughably foolish as to believe that you've disproven anything I've said by citing the existence of a noncontradictory statistic (one that is commonly thrown around by literal neo-nazis). I won't dispute the accuracy of the statistic you've cited, but I will explain the nuanced negation of your ignorance for the rest of the community who actually cares about a rational assessment of these matters. I know you will not comprehend the following refutation, nor give credence to the unassailable merit herein, on the basis of your hatred for minorities, but I know this rebuttal will be useful for those of us who are not recovering from a frontal lobotomy or who's parents are not brother and sister. The reason why you cannot dismiss the narrative of systemic racism by citing the statistic of 50% of homicides being committed by POC despite making up only 30% of police shootings (or any other rendition of the infamous 13/50 argument that nazis cling to), is because the root of the issue of black people being subject to higher rates of criminality is mainly an issue of socio-economic standing. Subsisting in poverty will universally beget higher criminality rates, and black people, having began their existence in America under the oppression of slavery, have never been allowed the means to recover from this maltreatment that forced them into this economic status. The fact that black people are getting killed by police is not automatically indicative of racism per se, at least not from the police involved necessarily, but it is in fact an inevitable result from being subjugated to the oppression that has stifled the black community since the Jim Crow era. It obviously is not as bad today as it was back then, but the inability to recover from the initially egregious injustice has established the black community as a perpetually marginalized class that will need major systemic emboldening to uplift. As long as these warranted restorative efforts are denied to POC, the black community will continue to subsist under predispositions which necessarily beget criminality, and will be the subjects of police brutality so long as the police refuse to restructure its institution which is inclined to unjustly abuse people of all races. Black people will always get the short end of the stick pertaining to police brutality so long as they are the predominant group of lower socio-economic status in America. It may be true that police are hesitant to kill black people due to political pressures, but this does not change the fact that black people are disproportionately murdered by the police relative to other races. -

We've found the Trump supporter. Wouldn't be surprised if this dude's a Derek Chauvin supporter. This is exactly the response I was trying to provoke. Yes, for hating hatred, I am equally hateful. That's some major league inbred energy, and I'm embarrassed that people think like you do. -

Is this question your idea of a joke? Sincerely wondering. https://www.sentencingproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Black-Lives-Matter.pdf (Extensive document on racial biases in our criminal justice system) Studies seem to indicate about 61-80% of black overrepresentation in prisons can be explained by higher black crime rates, with the unexplained portion largely attributable to racial bias. Remember - the factors which lead to disproportionate criminality amongst black Americans are also in large part a product of racial bias. Underfunded public programs, redlining, generational poverty, bad schooling, and myriad other factors which influence criminality can also be traced to racial bias. http://www.justicepolicy.org/uploads/justicepolicy/documents/vortex.pdf (The Concentrated Racial Impact of Drug Imprisonment and the Characteristics of Punitive Counties) While White & Black Americans admit to using and selling illicit drugs at similar rates, Black Americans are VASTLY more likely to go to prison for a drug offense. In 2002, Black Americans were incarcerated for drug offenses at TEN TIMES the rate of White Americans. Today, Blacks are 3.7x as likely to be arrested for a marijuana offense as Whites, despite similar usage. 97% of “large-population counties” have racial biases in their drug offense incarceration https://www.nature.com/articles/s41562-020-0858-1.pdf (A large-scale analysis of racial disparities in police stops across the United States) Enormous study of nearly 100,000,000 traffic stops conducted across America. Analysis finds the bar for searching black and hispanic drivers’ cars is significantly lower than the bar for white drivers. Additionally, black drivers are less likely to be pulled over after sunset, when “a ‘veil of darkness’ masks ones’ race”. https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/research-and-publications/research-publications/2017/20171114_Demographics.pdf (Demographic Differences in Sentencing: An Update to the 2012 Booker Report) Extensive multivariate regression analysis indicates black male offenders receive 19.1% longer federal sentences than similarly-situated white male offenders (white male offenders with similar past offenses, socioeconomic background, etc.) This disparity seems to stem mostly from black males being 21.2% less likely to receive non-government sponsored downward departures or variances. Non-government sponsored departures and variances refer to deviations from standard sentencing guidelines due to judicial discretion. Black males who do receive non government-sponsored departures and variations still serve 16.8% longer sentences than white males on average. In contrast, when sentencing length follows standard guidelines, that disparity is only 7.9%, and a substantial assistance departure for both groups nullifies that disparity. IN SUMMARY - much of the sentencing disparity between similarly situated black males and white males comes down to judicial discretion to deviate from standard sentencing guidelines. BONUS - regression analysis suggests violence in a criminal’s history does NOT explain sentencing disparities between black males and similarly situated white males - the effect of that factor seems to be statistically insignificant. ADDENDUM - Some have asked me to clarify a sentence at the end of this report, where its authors write it cannot be used to prove discrimination on the part of judges. First, that disclaimer warns against inferring active Now just imagine how many examples I would have provided if I weren't unfathomably lazy. -
My whole life I've eaten shit-tier junk food. The other day I had 2 large pizza slices, fries, a bacon burrito, barbeque ribs, and a chocolate chip muffin for one meal (just to give you an idea). I just made Leo's "Super Healthy Vegetable Soup" and it was actually pretty good. I also had a fruit smoothie, salmon with salty flavory marinade, along with salted pistachio nuts. Leo's "How to shop for healthy foods" video didn't mention fish, at least I don't recall, nor did it mention pistachio nuts. I feel like I could eat this every day from now on, but oddly enough I felt a sort of fatigue as I was eating this food. It seemed a bit worse than the fatigue I get after eating junk food, which seemed odd (but didn't last quite as long, I felt fine after an hour). It's obviously better than what I'd been eating, but I'm hoping someone can confirm that it's fine having pistachios and salmon everyday along with my new healthy soup & smoothies.
-
I can give up dairy but it doesn't seem possible to have a satisfying meal without any meat whatsoever. I won't feel full otherwise. There has to be something healthy out there. @UDT @Average Investor @Preety_India Seems like im getting mixed responses on the salmon. I need healthy meat of some kind or I won't feel full. I'm also looking for an alternative to wheat bread, so I got rye bread today, but it was so nasty I just ate my eggs and sliced turkey out of the rye bread sandwhich I made it in and threw away the bread. Really hoping somebody has alternatives for bread and meat because I need a little more variety or I imagine I'll soon give up the diet altogether unfortunately.
-
@Arcangelo Curious whether it's best to just give up all meats, and salted nuts. It was odd that I experienced a worse fatigue from eating this. Maybe my body is just used to processing garbage foods. I'd swear if I had eaten pizza I wouldn't have noticed the immediate fatigue I got.

I recall Leo talking about body tension, but I always dismissed the idea until recently when I experienced a transcendental sort of experience that revealed the tension Leo had mentioned. There's so much tension in the body that isn't blatantly apparent. I could have gone my whole life without noticing it, but I recently wrote about this clarifying experience I underwent. I hope all this can help you relieve that annoying shit. You should remember that the mind and body are quite literally the same object, so it is in fact possible to relieve body tension with proper mental application and vice versa. Edit: By the way, @Forestluv recommends kundalini yoga.

@Woke456 I'll never get over this pretentious need to call every hurled insult an "ad hominem"? I understand you're desperate to give the false impression of academic merit, so you lazily throw out these ten dollar words as if I actually committed a logical fallacy. I did not insult you as a means to bolster any argument, so there was no fallacy committed; I just plain insulted you. There's no point in arguing with somebody who refers to black people as "colored racists" while likening Marxism to Soviet gulags. What am I supposed to say? Your comment is just comically asinine. -

I see that you've shamelessly decided to hate-follow my account in the hopes of scoring a righteous pwn, so please reassess this top-tier projection. Did you even read the post I was responding to? I find it hard to believe that a 3rd party could take issue with the unquestionably tame response I directed towards a blatantly passive-aggressive crypto-scolding. I would have thought that any slack-jawed, knuckle dragging, head injured, lobotomy recovering, inbred Limbaugh apologist could parse out the obvious hostility that was directed at me, but I suppose not. -

Congratulations, @EternalForest you are the 1 millionth person to conflate relative truths with absolute truths. Evil may be a contruct of the ego but this doesn't change the logistics of preferring that certain conscious agents return to the infinite source and drop dead, rather than inflict objective harm upon other conscious agents. A recurring theme I've noticed amongst spiritual junkies is yet again making a burden. When their ego is affronted in some regard, instead of acknowledging the narrow mindedness that led to such an easy negation of their perspective, it's typically favorable to just reproach their verbal opposition on a flimsily conjured basis of moral superiority. If I had a nickel for every time I've been haphazardly patronized through the facade of moral concern, I'd be several tax brackets up the line, albeit the irony of a Rush Limbaugh apologist telling me to live less hatefully has to be a the richest punchline this universe could conjure. What a farce. I must be beyond help since I've already read it, but while we're presumtively making pompous life prescriptions under the bogus guise of concerned helpfulness, why don't you consider adding this to your reading list. As a morally righteous and deeply concerned troll I believe this will help you avoid falling prey to the rhetorical tricks of senseless demagogues like Limbaugh or Trump. It will also assist you in coming to grips with the inconvenient truth of our collective responsibility to cultivate a cultural disdain for evil, rather than muddle the atmosphere with erroneously virtuous tolerance towards outright depravity, lest you prefer that the fascists and neo-nazis quietly slip out the back door unabashed and unopposed as morally righteous fools cling to a ramshackle identity of allegedly noble integrity in their naive refusal to relish the deaths of horrible people. -
So a few days ago, I underwent a rather insane and trippy experience that I'm sure somebody here has an educated explanation for. I know I've typed a lot here, but I'd sincerely appreciate you taking the time to hear me out if you believe you can provide insight. Years of fascination with metaphysics and epistemology eventually led me to spirituality, and still, 20 months later, I have not managed to commit to a meditation routine of any sort despite all of the well-founded information and compelling advisory prescriptions for adopting such a routine. Due to my epic lack of willpower I find that my most comfortable method of spiritual insight is simply self-inquiry. Being naturally introspective, I had intuited that consciousness transcends our human lifespan long before I ever stumbled across Leo's content, which has served as a compelling confirmation for my intuition. Despite my lack of spiritual practices I experienced something rather profound a few days ago. During a marijuana high I started to notice a sense of uneasiness coming on. Uncontrollable anxiety. In this state I usually start to think about the worst possibilities one could conjure, and this naturally worsens the anxiety. I hadn't been high in a while, so I was certain this anxiety was a physiological reaction to what I had consumed, and that my innate mentality is not inherently this anxious. I have been uncomfortably anxious before, but this time I decided to try relieving it just by freeing up my body. I normally never do anything like this, but for some reason, this time I just decided, fuck it, if I have even the slightest urge to make a spastic motion with my arms I'll just do it... Nobody's watching me. So I decided to stop trying to sit up normal, and just shamelessly act out whatever unforeseeable urges come into my body. However, I knew I couldn't just "let go" entirely, because one of the unexpected urges was to simply allow my body to go limp. I would have done this if it were ideal, but I knew I would hit my head on my desk if I did that, so I went to lie down on the bed so that I could just totally do whatever comes to mind without getting hurt. I laid there for a couple seconds before I started rapidly moving all of the fingers on my right hand, and this slowly turned into moving both sets of fingers, then both arms, and seconds later moving both legs, but in a way that I would not be comfortable doing in front of another person. It was spastic. However, this was noticeably relieving my anxiety, so I fully allowed this process to take place and before long, I had involuntarily gotten up, and started moving my upper body in a completely symmetrical motion. I never have any urges to do anything like this ordinarily. I even thought Martin Ball (who I respect quite a bit) just looked like an outright silly doofus doing his cringe ass symmetrical yoga shit, so this is not like, part of my subconscious expressing itself. It would look totally freakish had someone seen me acting like this; it was a totally foreign expression of body movements that nobody would suspect me of having an affinity for. But this was relieving the fuck out of my anxiety in a way that nothing else ever has. I'm NOT exaggerating when I say it was like I was being possessed by a helpful (but initially frightening) entity that was using my body to perform it's archaic dance ritual. I was not "totally possessed" however, I could always take back control at will, albeit at the expense of my anxiety relief, but the relief felt too good, so I let it control me. It became totally obvious that there is a lot of tension in the body in ways I had never considered before. I have vague memories of Leo talking about this, but I never really took it too seriously. Until now... After about 15 minutes of full-blown symmetrical spasticity I had not only entirely overcome my anxiety, but my mood was elevated to a very 'loving' sort of state. I have experienced this 'loving' sort of state 2 times prior. Both provoked from marijuana highs, specifically during highs in which I had a low tolerance due to recent abstinence. This state only lasted for maybe a couple minutes, but during those minutes, the most profound sensation I can recall was this strong desire to do my absolute best to make my parents extremely proud of me, as lame as it sounds. I don't ordinarily feel these sorts of emotions, but I have recently grown to accept my parents for who they are in ways I was not open to as a younger adolescent and this experience seemed to be an extreme manifestation of this newfound acceptance. I'd call it a mystical experience because I know that my ordinary baseline consciousness (even when extremely high/faded) does not evoke these sorts of feelings. The first time I experienced it, I felt like a total asshole for my previous fantasies of eventually owning my own place, and righteously refusing entry to my Trump supporting mother on the basis of her being a rotten fascist, and it just felt like the stupidest, cruelest thing I had ever conjured in my life, while in this state. In my ordinary temperament I still feel justified in these intentions, but due to my first 'loving mystical state' I have vowed to myself not to follow through with those inclinations, because the experience was that profound. I am my ordinary self now, and I don't feel stupid or cruel for having this disposition. It feels totally justified right now, and I'm not ashamed about it because I genuinely believe it's a sensible position, and I will gladly admit that I think you're a simpleton if you can't empathize. At least I will, until I return to this spiritual state, and when I do, I know it will feel unfathomably stupid that I would ever be so cruel. I'm hoping somebody has an educated diagnoses for what I underwent. I'm preemtively leaning towards some kind of 'kundalini' explanation, not that I know too much about that shit exactly. I should also mention, all throughout the remainder of the night of that experience, I was able to "let go" and provoke these involuntary symmetrical movements to relieve tension at will. Even though hours had passed I was still able to arouse this transcendental unshackling, and I suspected that I had unlocked a new spirituality technique, or that I was uniquely talented since I had discovered this realization with my only experience in spiritual development being self-inquiry. The next day however, when I attempted to just "let go" it did not stimulate the same liberating sensation of effortless symmetry, but only seemed like a diminished version. I would allow my body to do any motion it desires by "letting go", but the involuntary movements were not symmetrical, nor as relieving. I still felt there was value in this diminished version of the experience, but I definitely experienced something more profound the night before. I'm now open to starting a yoga routine, and I would like to know where to get started. Which approach should I take? I really appreciate anyone who can help me out here. Thankyou for taking the time.

@NahmThanks my guy, what a gold mine. It's taking me a bit to read through it all, but much appreciated. @BodhitreeRidiculous, just crazy trippy shit I would have never assumed possible a couple years ago. Thanks for the input. Hoping somebody can diagnose exactly what I experienced still, and the school of yoga that most accurately conforms to this experience so I can look more into it. -

@Leo Gura Your unresponsiveness was entirely predictable. I would steer clear too if I had no decent substantiation for the self-righteous claims I had brazenly clung to. Let it be known that the 'godliest' self-appointed arbiter of 'Absolute' morality has palpably failed to justify his claim that undeniably harmful conscious agents (like Rush Limbaugh) should not be wished death upon. Let it be known that his frivolous attempt to justify this egotistically conjured conviction has pitifully concluded with evasive sidestepping most unbefitting of the 'wise guru' persona he has egoically adopted, as he has predictably opted to ignore a challenging retort in favor of more flattering forum engagement. If Leo does bother to respond, it won't be a logically oriented response to my previous retort, it will be a pious declaration of his unwillingness to engage on the basis of it supposedly being a waste of time, or something along those lines. For once, I would love to see this guy just say "I see your point, and I may have rushed to a conclusion." Hell will freeze over before this happens. -
NOTintoxicated replied to Stomatopod's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Leo Gura I feel that this is very inconsistent logic. They'd supposedly know it once they're dead, correct? That's what we'd hypothetically be rooting for. If death is truly 'infinite love' then it would seem reasonable that you should wish death on even the healthiest of your loved ones, and even yourself. Someone wishing death on me would only matter if they tried to kill me. (And even then, it's 'infinite love' right?) Yeah, nobody is talking about killing anyone. I've only said the desire to see dangerous political influencers dead is moral and rational. This may be a fallacious argument, but what happened to reality being perfect? Even if someone were to follow through with their death wish and bring about this outcome themselves, wouldn't that be a perfect expression of 'God'? I suppose what I am essentially asking is, can it even be said that a perfect reality has room for prescriptive statements regarding how one should conduct themselves? I understand that any heinous cretin could adopt this argument to defend all sorts of evil, but it would only have merit from the 'Absolute' perspective. In the relative domain, viciously evil people undeniably harm society, whereas my desire to see them dead does not. So in what sense exactly is my position on this a moral failing? -
NOTintoxicated replied to Stomatopod's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Death is supposedly 'infinite love'. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't wish death upon harmful conscious agents, especially when we can agree society is better off without him. Supposedly Rush is better off now. His life was undeniably miserable, given the beliefs he held. Wishing death on these people seems to be the most reasonable position. Would you wish death on somebody who murdered people close to you? The cancerous ideology Limbaugh spread is far worse than any one murder, or any mass murder for that matter. No, he is not as morally heinous as a murderer, but he was immeasurably more harmful. Not only am I delighted at his much deserved death, but I'd also strongly encourage anyone to avoid getting suckered into a position of moral grandstanding by 'respectfully mourning the dead' (no matter how contemptible), as such attitudes seem to be counterproductive regarding the necessity to foster a cultural intolerance for evil. No. @EternalForest All I can do with people like yourself is marvel at the simplicity of your thought process. It's actually quite impressive.
