  1. Hi. I've been studying myself for about three years now, through the means of my awareness. I did it in all situations: at home, in public, at work, and so forth... Nothing can trigger me anymore, not even my childhood trauma. I understand that thoughts can stir up all sorts of negative and positive emotions. I also understand that emotions can highly influence my thoughts. I know how the mind works. On the other hand, I don't know if I'm enlightened yet but even when I'm feeling 100% good, I don't find fascinating the point of existence or being. What's the point of existing? Existence. So? What's that fascinating about existence? I struggle on a daily basis to see the beauty of reality and its marvelous design, but at the same time, a dark spell dwells on me and insists that everything I do in this life has no real meaning. How did you guys make it beyond this stage?
  2. Hi. The mind is tricky and self-deceptive but my mental health issues are beyond deceptiveness and trickery. Bad parenting, severe childhood trauma [harsh beatings, violence, lack of love, lack of financial support, lack of nutrients, shame, and emotional neglect], no discipline, and nihilism; all these issues are bubbling up as I become more conscious and they seem persistent. They're so intense! These coping, survival mechanisms are embedded into my nervous system. They're part of my identity, although I refuse to identify myself with them. As they appear from time to time, I struggle to let go of their influence and do my best to remain fully conscious of them. It has been three years since I'm intensely exercising "The Power of Letting Go" a few times a day. Why am I not healed? Is there any hope left? Is it possible to develop mastery over my own mind and think clearly?
  3. It's illegal to pay a man more than a woman. It should never happen, obviously.
  4. I can't tell you that. Women are better treated in today's society than men. You can find female lawyers online that give impartial advice to men, telling them to be careful when they plan to get married, for example. The courts are in favor of women. As for men, we're fighting in wars. We're having the most difficult jobs on the planet. We keep the structure of society going. We're living in a good society basically and I don't see the need for feminism, although females should have the same rights as men and be treated with respect and dignity.
  5. Hi. I've stumbled upon a paragraph from a book and I wanted to know if it's a valid one: What are your thoughts on this, @Leo Gura?
  6. THOUGHTS THAT BUBBLE UP Well, I should do it, even if it's hard. The mind doesn't wanna do it; I'm referring to the hero's journey. My mind is so deceptive and full of neurosis that sometimes I barely keep myself alive. But because I'm conscious enough, I remain detached and try my best to let go of my neurosis. Sometimes I'm so tired that I have to force myself to be able to practice my writing skills. If I were to stop and abandon my self-actualization journey, I'll suffer the harshest consequences. Not acting also has consequences. When I think about my future, I see myself as a great communicator that has a pure desire to help other people. The work that I'm going to do will have a virtuous aspect behind it. Without manipulation and deceit, I'll do the work properly. And I'm so encouraged sometimes that I feel like I'm unstoppable and that not even God can stop my desire to be a good individual that's able to help other people. Namaste!
  7. Hello. If God were to be real, I believe UFOs wouldn't exist. Here's a strange video from Tucker Carlson: We don't know how reality came to be. We can not know. The rest is speculation.
  8. Hello. Since China took over Hong Kong, the shining, prosperous Asian hub is no longer democratic. You no longer have freedom there and many of the Hong Kong people are moving to the United States in large numbers, including politicians. China announced long ago that Taiwan is going to be next. They're preparing for an invasion. These two Asian democratic countries don't need China, as they're doing extremely well when it comes to economics and exporting goods. They're prosperous countries. Why is China taking over these countries? Why doesn't China just leave them alone and govern their own affairs? It's mindboggling to see two democratic countries fall under China's authoritative spell, meaning that these two countries will no longer be democratic. For me personally, just the thought of an authoritarian government that punishes criticism makes me depressed. If I were to live there without being allowed to criticize the government, I would become depressed. I've seen a documentary about China becoming the next superpower. They will have a much stronger economy than the United States and a much powerful military. They will decide the new world order. I wouldn't want to live in a world where a communist country without human rights has the power to set the world order. We need to do something about this but I'm afraid it's too late.
  9. "But there comes a point when your partner behaves in ways that fail to meet your needs, or rather those of your ego. The feelings of fear, pain, and lack that are an intrinsic part of egoic consciousness but had been covered up by the “love relationship” now resurface. Just as with every other addiction, you are on a high when the drug is available, but invariably there comes a time when the drug no longer works for you. When those painful feelings reappear, you feel them even more strongly than before, and what is more, you now perceive your partner as the cause of those feelings. This means that you project them outward and attack the other with all the savage violence that is part of your pain. This attack may awaken the partner's own pain, and he or she may counter your attack. At this point, the ego is still unconsciously hoping that its attack or its attempts at manipulation will be sufficient punishment to induce your partner to change their behavior so that it can use them again as a cover-up for your pain. Every addiction arises from an unconscious refusal to face and move through your own pain. Every addiction starts with pain and ends with pain. Whatever the substance you are addicted to — alcohol, food, legal or illegal drugs, or a person — you are using something or somebody to cover up your pain. That is why, after the initial euphoria has passed, there is so much unhappiness, so much pain in intimate relationships. They do not cause pain and unhappiness. They bring out the pain and unhappiness that is already in you. Every addiction does that. Every addiction reaches a point where it does not work for you anymore, and then you feel the pain more intensely than ever. This is one reason why most people are always trying to escape from the present moment and are seeking some kind of salvation in the future. The first thing that they might encounter if they focused their attention on the Now is their own pain, and this is what they fear. If they only knew how easy it is to access in the Now the power of presence that dissolves the past and its pain, the reality that dissolves the illusion. If they only knew how close they are to their own reality, how close to God." ― Eckhart Tolle
  10. You killed it! I see many people in our society attacking Western civilization, freedom, and Capitalism without even thinking that it's the only civilization that abolished slavery and gave people human rights. The progress we made is unbelievable. It is really concerning to see people not be alarmed by the rise of China. Modern people don't know the horrors of real authoritarianism, nazism, and communism. If we're not doing something about the rise of China, we're doomed to a world where freedom will no longer exist.
  11. I've found this video on Twitter. What happened in New York? Is this true?
  12. I've never been a fan of Tucker Carlson and I never liked any of his political views. With that being said, I still watch his shows with enthusiasm because some of his points make sense. Although I don't agree with most of his thoughts and ideas, some of them are actually valid. Recently, he talked about China and the US military: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi-_VqYODLw What would happen if all of a sudden China became a military super-power and took over the Western world? Would you like to be governed by China, a country that is currently running concentration camps? The questions above are rooted in reality, as we must understand the dangers of a rising China. Not to attack China, but they don't have animal rights, nor human rights. That tells everything about their rulers, the CCP. I would like to know what do you think about the rise of China and what can we do about it.
  13. Dude, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your reply really illuminated me. I finally feel much more confident now about the way I interact with people. I will do my best to overcome my childhood trauma.
  14. Hello. Why am I socially anxious when I need to talk to people? Today I had to interact with one of my colleagues, at work. She chatted me up. Then I simply froze. I just saw myself in fight-or-flight. My stomach was upside down and it was an intensely awkward moment. It's like seeing a tiger in front of me and all of a sudden I'm paralyzed. It's that intense! There are times when I'm not that anxious and awkward with people, but even then something doesn't feel right. I don't know how to describe what I'm feeling. It's so tough just to understand what's happening to me. My social interactions don't feel right. It's like everything that I'm doing when I need to talk to somebody is forced or it doesn't feel like being at ease with myself. Can someone clarify why am I this way? I tried to talk with lots of people but this horrible awkward feeling doesn't seem to go away. Some people are getting awkward as well. They can feel my awkwardness. It's no fun at all!
  15. Exactly. I am REALLY doing my best to acquire social skills by practicing but the problem is that when I interact with a girl, I'm getting so awkward that I'm making her uncomfortable. And I have to say this, some people avoid me when I'm at work. They just don't wanna be around me because my presence makes them uncomfortable. It's so depressing. Yes. My childhood was a living hell. Extreme poverty. Violence abuse. An anxious, depressed mother. My father was drunk and violent most of the time.
  16. I voted for Joe Biden and I regret it. I'll never make such a mistake again. In less than two months, the Biden administration moved troops into Syria and bombed the country relentlessly. We don't even know the truth about the damage they've done. They're using pretexts like "fighting terrorism", but a country like Syria does not even have enough resources to provide for its vulnerable citizens. Trump was a horrible president in terms of character, but at least he didn't start new wars. The Trump Republicans have their own issues but from what I can see, they have more common sense than the Democrats. We don't have to start news wars. We don't have to kill innocent people. And because of the horrific measures of the Biden administration, I'll consider voting for Trump for the first time, in case he's going to run again. It breaks my heart to see the Biden administration doing unethical things, an administration that I've had faith in. You guys may not like the way I assess the situation, but I have to be impartial and nonbias. I have to put my ego aside. From now on, I will vote based on policy and actions, not rhetoric. I will vote based on what happens in reality, not what I'm seeing on television or YouTube.
  17. To be honest, I don't care about the selfish nature of our politicians. All humans are selfish and manipulative, even those who claim that they're enlightened. For us to be alive, we must be a little bit selfish. That's our fundamental nature and it keeps us alive. We keep baffling about change and hope for the future, but at the same time, we don't take into account that every generation has its own, unique problems. Regardless of our low-conscious politicians, don't be too concerned with them, as you'll waste years of life and stifle your potential.
  18. Hi. If Joe Biden doesn't do anything about Tucker Carlson, his audience will grow exponentially and we'll lose ground in 2024. He just announced on Twitter what he plans to do. Any ideas on what we can do to shut down his show? He just won't stop for God's sake.
  19. I don't care if he's narcissistic or not. We're all narcissists to some degree and most people don't like to admit it. I abhor what Cuomo did. It was inhumane. According to NBC News, the same thing happened in other democratic states. "In early March, the Trump administration issued guidance to states to avoid discharging coronavirus-positive patients back into nursing homes." It didn't matter to those democrats. They did it anyway. Those responsible must be held accountable.
  20. What an ignorant person! People should be kept inside. Why isn't he closing his state and the small businesses that are at this time opened? What's wrong with him?
  21. If it were up to me, I would put this governor in prison for at least five years.
  22. Take 30mg of N,N-DMT and you'll have a meeting with God.
