  1. @impulse9 And how do you get to the point where you see? Or is it just a thing some people are born with and some aren't?
  2. @peanutspathtotruth I've been contemplating trying semen retention but I have a hard time believing it does anything besides placebo. Do you find it helpful?
  3. @Sri McDonald Trump Maharaj I didn't practice kriya enough to evaluate the results you get with it. With meditation, so far I'd say the biggest result I've noticed is that I'm able to experience daily life without being so absorbed into whatever stuff I go through. The techniques of kriya are structured with different purposes in mind than the ones laid out in TMI, so I imagine you get very different results. I read the kriya books of SantataGamana and the purpose of the techniques was to still the mind so that you could abide in that state until the ego dissolved and you realized your true nature, or something like that.
  4. I only have limited experience with both of them, but I'd say that at least in the basic level of the practice I'm at with TMI, TMI is more simple. With kriya yoga, you have to be aware of multiple aspects of your breath, chakras, bodily sensations, etc. at once, whilst with TMI you only really have to focus on your breath, keep peripheral awareness open, and hold certain intentions. Also, I would say that mindfulness practice in general relies less on certain beliefs. I don't believe in chakras, it's not like this made yoga practice impossible but it was certainly hindering in some aspects, like being consistent with practice or motivation. With meditation practice there are less implied beliefs which I don't already have.
  5. Yes, I agree with you. I was doing kriya yoga, but I noticed I had a hard time staying focused on certain sensations or being impersonal to some of the sensations I was feeling. Certainly, the abilities learned through meditation serve as a solid foundation for any path you decide to go through.
  6. I would certainly love to watch this unfold
  7. Does that include your channel?
  8. True, true. If we stoop to their level it's more difficult to pretend we're better than them.
  9. It heavily depends on the individual, you can clearly see this just on this thread. Personally, I'm not a fan of these kinds of little games, I think they're annoying.
  10. @justfortoday that would make for a pretty good movie or book plot
  11. What's the point of these kinds of interactions if everyone is supposedly the same Looks like hitting yourself, then hitting yourself back and being like "haha i sure showed you"
  12. Yeah, I think I should try. Any volunteers?
  13. @hamedsf wouldn't someone with a very high testosterone want to fuck anything that gets in his way? If you don't want to fuck men you're low test, sorry bro.
  14. Oh, to clarify, I'm not attracted to men on a physical level.
  15. @Leo Gura Why should it matter to modern quantum physicists what the fathers of the field believed? The first natural philosophers believed in all sorts of wacky stuff, it's not like modern physicists should believe the same stuff they did.
  16. It would be interesting to see Leo have some sort of debate with a scientist experienced in the topic to see how his ideas hold up. Or with professor dave, that would be entertaining. He would probably be open to the debate.
  17. ehh

  18. @Leo Gura a bit of a controversial question, but in such an educational system at what age do you suppose people should have their first trip (assuming they've had proper education and preparation for it beforehand)?
  19. I'm actually reading him haha. Thanks for the rec though, his stuff is pretty good.
  20. @martins name Yeah, I didn't mean literally seeing them, I meant feeling them. Thanks for the clarification though, now I have a hint of what I'm supposed to feel.
  21. I see, that's a more soothing version for me than an endless life. Thanks for your input.
