Aren't terrorists usually doing something honorable in their minds? I guess you could call that "love". -

You're contradicting yourself. You say "God can do everything" but then say "God can't do X", you say "nothing can limit God" and then "X limits God" You would get an F if you wrote this stuff down in a philosophy paper -

Sorry if this question is a little frivolous, but if it so desired, could it end itself? Existing forever seems kinda jarring. -
Every time I go to bed I wish I don't wake up the next day. Thing is I'm not particularly depressed, I just wish I wouldn't have to deal with life. I have no aspirations other than to avoid the pain in the ass-ness of everything as much as possible, and the more time passes I get more burnt out and this endurance test gets tougher. This isn't a recent situation or anything, I'm 21 and I've felt like this for as long as I remember. I want to quit life the same way you would want to quit a party when you've gotten bored. I feel kind of lost and would be thankful if one of you guys that has dealt with this could offer me some advice.

If you're ugly enough you can always find a girl who wants to virtue signal badly enough to date someone very ugly just to show she's all about the personality

@blankisomeone It's not like I was abused or anything but my parents were divorced. I remember feeling disconnected from the world around me when I was a kid, I think there might be some undiagnosed autism stuff going on. As for therapy I'm saving up currently, I'm broke but I plan on going. -

@puporing I have tried many different things, it's just that I usually just get sick of them after a couple of days. Maybe If I keep trying I'll find something? @Breakingthewall I have thought about becoming a hermit or something like that but I dont think it's as simple as sheltered people like us believe it to be. It's probably harder than life in the city. Also I'm not happy doing nothing, I'm not smart like that. -

It's pretty hard to put into words, but it's probably something like a lack of purpose or desire to live and a deep seated pessimism. Also laziness that stems from my thoughts that nothing is worth doing and the return is generally unsatisfactory. As for the collective thing I'm generally selfish so it doesn't affect me much, it's mostly just a personal problem -

@puporing Ive thought of that possibility and honestly I find it quite scary. Like being put into some twisted scenario for the amusement of something you don't even know, like a SAW movie or something. It could also be the opposite and it's actually something beautiful but my vision is too clouded to see. Anyways I don't know any way of knowing so I tend not to think of any afterlife stuff, anyways I dont think that fear of greater pain is really an uplifting motivator to keep on living -

I'm not dealing with anything in particular, I think it might be my default state because I can't remember ever thinking "Gee, how happy I am to be alive" I like petting dogs but not enough to put up with everything else Ill put it in another way, I think life is a game that's not interesting for me and I wish I didn't have to play it, but at the same time I don't wish to commit suicide because of the consequences it would have on the people around me -

When you say crucifixion, do you mean a literal crucifixion? I doubt it's the most painful experience -

While I'm not sure I believe in the whole solipsism thing, I believe those questions are kind of easily answerable if you suppose that others are imaginary. It's like being in a dream and asking "well, if my dream characters aren't real, how come I see them doing stuff?" The answer is, the stuff they're doing is just imaginary -

Music, art, porn, literature, good food, friends and family are the first things that come to mind. -
Any of you guys have any experience with dzogchen you could tell me about? I'm starting to get into it, reading the book Our Pristine Mind by Orgyen Chowang and it seems cool so far, but I still know next to nothing about it and would appreciate it if someone with more knowledge and experience with it could give me some information or resources about it, and tell what I can expect of it.

I see a lot of people talking about how people in third world countries are happier but I live in a third world country and I don't think that's the case at all, especially amongst younger people. Also just to clarify third world countries don't just consist of people living in small villages and being hunter gatherers like some people here seem to think, a lot of these places are just regular cities but shittier and with more social inequality Also of course we think of our living conditions and don't just "focus on surviving", we're human too lol

as someone who has lived in what you're describing for years now, have a minimum standard that you think you can consistently achieve and do that. For example if you don't have enough motivation to work out, just focus on doing 2 minutes, but be sure to at least exercise for 2 minutes. With time it becomes easier to do more. Also don't underestimate the value of talking to a psychologist or psychiatrist, they're trained to handle these types of situations so they can offer personalized advice that people that don't know you can't give you. Also I find the thought "there is nothing to achieve" calming. -

Starting my own journal because why not. Maybe it'll be useful in whatever I'll hope to acheve with my life. So I've been having a notepad with goals I want to accomplish. Started with easy stuff like drink more water, don't overeat, meditate before sleep, etc. The ones I want to focus on at the moment are to have a consistent sleep schedule (current one is wacky af) and stop spending time in cess pit environments such as some imageboards I sometimes frequent. Haven't decided yet how exactly I'll run my journal but I want to see how one goes anyways, can't hurt to try.
