  1. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
  2. Coming from a guy who thinks he can record himself transforming into an alien god for everyone to see. Talk more about fantasy.
  3. Of course, there are exceptions, but generally people go through similar stages. Sure, you can take a drug and have some advanced insights without first having the 'lower' kind of insight but then you just come down and can't integrate it. That's what a lot of people who do psychedelics experience. "Yesterday I felt I was god and today I'm the same poor little me." No amount of psychedelic god-realizations will liberate you.
  4. Unfortunately, it can't. There is not one single (or even multiple) experience that will dissolve your trauma. Especially if you take substances which help you temporarily transcend (i.e. escape) your human condition. If you're looking for a non-spiritual solution, then psychotherapy is an obvious one. IFS / Somatic Experiencing. Another interesting option is mdma which doesn't take you so much into transpersonal realms and puts you in a state where it's much easier to love and embrace parts of yourself that are hurting. There's a free book by the Castalia Foundation entirely dedicated to mdma solo route.
  5. Stages of insight. He never said those were stages of consciousness.
  6. For an insight to stick (rewire your brain) you have to get it many times over and over again.
  7. Most Christians get very triggered if you tell them what they believe in is bs. They're not that confident in their beliefs. But they will defend them tooth and nail.
  8. Have you tried therapy? If yes, what modalities?
  9. You should question the underlying assumptions of the questions you're asking. Because if the questions you're asking are based on unquestioned assumptions, then you're not going to get to the truth of the matter. For example, "what is the purpose of life" assumes that life has to have purpose that's somehow different from living, like there's somewhere you need to get to. Daniel Ingram is not fully enlightened according to the Buddhist ten fetters model.
  10. You don't ask "What's the meaning of life" or "Why am I here" when you're enjoying yourself.
  11. You 100% can be happier sober than on opium. Opium high isn't even that great, it's a numbness, not happiness.
  12. The ego tendencies are not dissolved by taking a substance (just temporarily suppressed), that's why you drop back.
  13. "Hey, there's no 'me' here who's abusing 'you' there, it's all just being, it's all perfect". (c)
  14. That's how you know who's planning to become a spiritual teacher in the future and fuck their students for the sake of truth.
  15. He's an ego who tricked himself into believing that he's not an ego. Now he's trying to teach other egos and gets upset when they don't recognize his egoless wisdom.
  16. Awakening and enlightenment are different things. Awakening is like an opening, a hole in the wall through which some sunlight comes through. A hole can be big or small. And there can be many holes. Enlightenment is like completely tearing down the walls. If one still has some egoic tendencies, that's not enlightenment.
  17. A belief in god is the same as any other belief. It's an image in your head which you've invested a lot of energy into.
  18. The fact that Alan Watts was drinking a lot shows there was stuff he didn't want to feel. That's the only reason you'd take a drug like alcohol on a regular basis.
  19. I think the concept of impermanence in Buddhism doesn't refer to absolute truth but rather to the nature of manifestation. You learn to see that all experiences come and go so you stop clinging to them.
  20. Non duality is not oneness. It's not two but it's also not one.
  21. In my experience, delta-8 sucks compared to delta-9.
  22. Are you talking about plugging?
  23. Learn to inquire into your fears and traumas while sober, then use small dose psychedelics to deepen your inquiry. I think that's the best way.
