  1. Not because of the pandemic, but because of the lockdowns and social distancing.
  2. And they have kids' playgrounds too. Very nice of them.
  3. Actually, 1 in 150 Americans has Celiac, according to to a study done by the University of Maryland.
  4. Was what I said untrue? 1) They are experimental 2) No one knows what the long term effects are going to be. What's fear mongering about advising people to go with more traditional vaccines that at least have some track record? Fear mongering is what you do when you blow this virus's danger out of proportions.
  5. It's also entirely possible to catch Covid after getting vaccinated, they call them breakthrough cases. And very few cases of being reinfected with Covid have been documented, so the natural immunity must be quite good. There is no evidence that you get more protection from a vaccine than from being exposed to the virus. Without long term studies, the idea that the vaccines provide a better long term defense compared to being naturally infected is just an assumption.
  6. Also, if you're gonna get a vaccine, don't go for Pfizer or Moderna. That's some experimental shit that no one knows what the long term effects are going to be. I'd go for more a more traditional vaccine, such as J&J.
  7. One thing worth mentioning about vaccines is this: If you have antibodies, there's no reason why you should get the vaccine. There's absolutely no reason to believe that the immunity you get from a vaccine is better than the immunity you get from being exposed to the virus. I'd argue, the opposite is true. So if covid immunity passports become a thing, then having antibodies should be enough to get the passport, if there's no hidden agenda behind the vaccination campaign. People should get tested for antibodies before getting a vaccine instead of just giving it to everyone. I bet half of the people getting the vaccine are already immune.
  8. That's what you're being told, that it's for a greater good. In my opinion, everyone being locked in their houses, mass unemployment, higher poverty, more people suffering and dying of hunger, in fear of catching a virus that has a mortality rate less than 0.5% is not a greater good. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/virus-linked-hunger-tied-to-10-000-child-deaths-each-month-1.5041282 "All around the world, the coronavirus and its restrictions are pushing already hungry communities over the edge, cutting off meagre farms from markets and isolating villages from food and medical aid. Virus-linked hunger is leading to the deaths of 10,000 more children a month over the first year of the pandemic, according to an urgent call to action from the United Nations shared with The Associated Press ahead of its publication in the Lancet medical journal. Further, more than 550,000 additional children each month are being struck by what is called wasting, according to the UN -- malnutrition that manifests in spindly limbs and distended bellies. Over a year, that's up 6.7 million from last year's total of 47 million. Wasting and stunting can permanently damage children physically and mentally, transforming individual tragedies into a generational catastrophe." Getting tired of the "you're just selfish" and "it's best for society" argument. It's not.
  9. The amount of ego and a sense of superiority in your posts is baffling. You're nowhere near the level of consciousness you think you are. You project all your crap onto conservatives, 'alt-right extremists' etc., yet you sound exactly like an extremist.
  10. I've been labelled that here on this forum, even though I'm not conservative and if you asked me a few years ago, I'd say I was more left-leaning. But today's left has become so toxic and authoritarian, it's the last thing I'd wanna support. Almost everything they do is manipulative, and they manipulate using people's higher values, which is genius.
  11. You do this all the time, Leo. But when others do it, you make sure to point it out. It's called hypocrisy. It's not just my freedom, it's also everyone else's freedom. It's safety vs freedom on a collective level and you're choosing safety. This says a lot about your values and where you're coming from. It's also easy to support lockdowns when you're working from the comfort of your home and don't have to worry that much about finances. Which is not true for the majority of people.
  12. It does seem to help some people who are close to the edge. For many others, while it causes some energetic changes, it doesn't change their experience much. Some people who were diagnosed as having reached 1000 by Ramaji and Ananda don't feel any changes in their experience. It's a hit or miss.
  13. Sadly, in life you meet people who have different opinions than you. Calling them trolls and looking for an ignore button is a childish position.
  14. The reason you hate them is because they remind you of the same qualities you have within yourself which you don't want to admit.
  15. Ferguson – in case you’ve forgotten during the roughly 17 years that have passed since the start of the pandemic – is an epidemiologist at Imperial College London. A professor of mathematical biology, he is the director of the UK Medical Research Council’s Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis, whose projection of 250,000 deaths in the UK if there were no change in strategy altered the course of its response to the pandemic. It also changed thinking in the United States. Yesterday he resigned from Sage, the British government’s scientific advisory group for emergencies, after admitting to a newspaper that he “allowed” a woman he was in a relationship with to visit him twice during the lockdown. He had recovered and come out of self-isolation after testing positive with Covid-19, and the woman’s husband was reportedly sick at the time. https://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/people/when-a-scientist-s-love-life-is-bigger-news-than-covid-19-deaths-something-is-wrong-1.4246387 This is the guy who pushed for lockdowns, who can't even follow his own advice.

  17. Here are some people that tell us to stay home and not to travel. Steve Adler, the mayor of Austin, TX. Records a video, saying "We need to stay home if you can. This is not the time to relax", while being on a vacation. Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. Attends a party of at least a dozen people after telling people not to gather in large groups. Michael Hancock, the mayor of Denver. Flies to see his family for Thanksgiving after telling his staff not to travel. Andrew Cuomo, tells people not to gather on Thanksgiving. Invites his mother and daughters to come visit him. Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, member of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors. Votes for prohibiting outdoor dining. Dines outdoors following the voting. Doesn't seem like these politicians who are fear mongering about the virus are so afraid of catching it or adamant about following their own rules.
  18. I think predictions are kinda pointless and can actually be detrimental. For example, a psychic tells you that you're going to receive a large sum of money, so you just sit on your couch and wait for it to come. Of course, it doesn't come and you think the psychic was wrong. But maybe what happened was, you were supposed to do something to make that money, but you instead sat there waiting for it to come because you were told that was going to happen.
  19. Raising your vibration is just a different way of saying, "getting into a higher state". If we call everything that is not scientific pseudoscience, then pretty much everything spiritual is pseudoscience.
  20. Helping people remove their ignorance is a far stretch from 'using God'.
  21. Heart disease isn't contagious yet it kills 17 million people. My point has nothing to do with the mechanism by which those people are killed. What does it matter if they're killed by a virus or by shitty food? Flu isn't as deadly, yet it still kills up to half a million people a year. Where do you draw the line? How many lives are worth shutting down economies and how many lives aren't? Lol, you haven't debunked anything, reduced my whole post to one phrase and reverted to exactly what I would expect from you - calling me selfish. 'Well I'm not dying, so I don't care!' - First, no where did I say this, but let's assume I did. Now, you're not dying from the flu, do you care about those 250,000-500,000 people that die every year? If you care, then using your logic it's a good idea to impose strict lockdowns in order to prevent them from dying. Do you agree? You're not dying from heart disease, do you care about those 17 million that do? If you do care, then by your logic it's a good idea to impose strict measures to prevent them from dying, i.e. banning fast food restaurants, cigarettes, alcohol etc.? Do you advocate for this or you don't care because you're not one of those people? Care to address anything I've said in this and previous posts? Or is this the best you can do?
  22. Yes I did. Yes, there's higher mortality rate. Not really different than that of France or United States, so it wasn't ridiculously high compared to other countries. If you think the difference is worth shutting down the economy of a whole country (and that's not accounting for the fact that such countries are much closer towards herd immunity), then you're an idiot. This is far from a deadly disease that is threatening to obliterate half of the human population. And if you're going to use the "you're selfish and don't care about other people's lives" card, well, why didn't you advocate for lockdowns before when flu killed 250,000-500,000 people every year? And would that be a good idea in your opinion? Did you even think about those people? What about 18 million people that die each year from heart disease? Do you care about them? Do you think we should ban all McDonalds, Burger King and countless other 'restaurants', as well as many other foods, cigarettes, alcohol etc. and maybe force people to work out and fine them if they don't? If you don't, then you must be against science. You can get into some ridiculous territory following your logic.
