Many of my own profound meditation-induced experiences were determination sitting too. For some reason the experience is profoundly deepened by simply letting go of your normal responses and suffering through it until your ego naturally dissolves. At some point all the pain is gone and only profound bliss remains. It's a powerful meditation method, at least in my experience. I think the longest one I did was about two hours.

I meditated on it and I had an interesting realization that it doesn't actually matter whether you get it through meditation, DMT, or a piano falling on your head. The point is in ego dissolution and merging with oneness, how you get there is merely a formality. Disregard my previous ramblings as I'm dum.

@Peo I've been further in the Bardo than most of you could dream of, including Leo. A day will come when a trip will show you in vivid detail the amount of your own farts that you've been sniffing, and then you'll realize the truth. The truth that you don't know shit. This God realization crap is kindergarten tier. The next level, the next axis that psychedelics at sufficient doses show you is mystery so profound and so deep that even God shits his pants. You're all deluding yourself, and I won't be part of it. The point of spirituality is to ride on the wings of mystery. The point is not to get stuck in sniffing your own God farts. @John Doe It's beyond logic. For as long as you try to acquire knowledge using your logic, you will never get there. And I'm not even remotely claiming that I'm enlightened and therefore able to pass judgment on anyone. I simply know what being in the presence of a master feels like. I can tell you that Eckhart Tolle is the real deal. I can also tell you that bending your mind into a pretzel will never work. Leo's very good at pretzel bending. And sometimes you have to bend those pretzels. But it is not the way. The way that can be talked about is not the way. The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. You either get this point, or you get stuck in a revolving door. And why time can't help you? Because time doesn't exist. It's imaginary. If you think time's gonna help you, then you're putting your faith into something that doesn't exist. It's like trying to eat stars from the night sky. It makes no sense.

Start as low as you possibly can. Remember the old saying, you can always take more, but you can't take less once you've ingested it. Once you take it you're riding it like it or not. Also I know you said you prefer your own company, but I would strongly advise you to get a sitter, and make sure it's someone you completely trust and feel good in their company. You can easily hurt yourself in those states, particularly if you start panicking. And since you have no prior experience, it's wise to not risk it by doing it alone. Good luck.

You have a skewed perspective about this. Eckhart Tolle isn't vanilla. He's one of the greatest masters who ever walked on Earth. Just because he doesn't talk about what awakening feels like (as if to stroke other people's egos), doesn't mean he's not aware of it. Eckhart Tolle is a realized master. Simple as that. Leo's notions of "permanent enlightenment isn't possible, glimpses of the divine are sufficient" is wrong, misleading, and deeply damaging. That doesn't give him validity. I've been to the same places, particularly on Salvia. There's no way DMT can get you further because it's the same place. What Leo doesn't admit though, is that these experiences give you jack shit. Once you sober up you're just as lost as you were prior to the trip, if not more. The notion that time is required for enlightened is the most vile game that the ego plays. Time won't help you.

I would rate Leo far below Eckhart Tolle. Too much ego, too little humbleness and a fundamental misunderstanding of what spirituality is and how this game works. Leo's version of spirituality is a revolving door of chemically induced mystical vision, which is a caricature of actual spirituality. Leo also believes there's work required, or even time, to reach profound states of consciousness. I still love Leo's work. But I love it from the logical side. Real spirituality is about heart and not logic.

Just work at it until you're good enough. At that point you'll know what to do. I know this sounds like vague advice but it's actually the best advice possible. In the tech world, skill is all. Too many bullshitters try to make it without putting in the work. If you're skilled, jobs find you, not the other way around.

You can't create a mindfuck any more than you can surprise yourself on purpose. It happens when it happens.

The universe is beyond concepts. All that you listed is concepts. Perspectives. If you're asking for the "truest" perspective, that would be what you described as "A-rational". But really even that is just a load of horseshit, a fantasy invented so you don't have to look into the abyss yourself. A fantasy that your ego can use to stroke itself. Reality is that which is, and we won't give it a name.
