Don't aim to get rid of your biases. Aim to become aware of your biases. Don't shy away from the ego. Observe the ego. 1) From one perspective, no or God wouldn't be infinite. From another perspective, yes because right now is God in its entirety. The best answer lies within the realization that both perspectives are neither true nor false. 2) Well, have you ever experienced any other experience outside of the human experience? To say an "experience" of an ant even exists would be quite the assumption. Many people assume that because God is infinite, God will "experience" everything. Well of course God could not experience everything due to the limits that God imposes upon itself in order to create a physical reality. God cannot experience an infinite amount of experiences in time. This is not a flaw but simply a cost of its creation. It's analogous to God not being able to create a square circle. By the "law" of a square, it cannot be a circle. By the "law" of time, God cannot experience infinite experiences even with infinite time. Literally a quadrillion ants are born every year and that's just in this reality. Theoretically there could be infinite realities with an infinite amount of ant lives. If God just focused on experiencing ants, it could never experience anything else, even with infinite time, because the infinite ant reincarnation cycle would never end. This is simply the limit of time. This is why it's more accurate to say that God is neither finite nor infinite (or both finite and infinite). You are experiencing being a human for a reason. -

It's simpler than you think. Even the ego recognizes a conscious "I" and a subconscious "I." Even the ego understands that there's an intelligence working it's magic in the background to keep the human body alive. Even the ego knows that part of itself includes the heart even though it has no voluntary control over its heart beat. Even the ego realizes it's dreams are the product of it's own mind, it just doesn't fully understand how its mind accomplishes it. There is one you: consciousness. But within that one you, there are multiple yous as well: the conscious you and the subconscious you. These of course are fabrications, but so is any sense of "you" haha. This fabricated subconscious you not only operates the autonomic nervous system, but it creates your entire reality subconsciously. This, of course, must be the case in order to experience any type of finite character. You can have awakening experiences where the duality between the conscious you and the subconscious you collapse. @Leo Gura has talked about awakening experiences where he became conscious of exactly how he was creating his hand through sheer will. -

Don't trap yourself into believing that confusing material equates to aimless material. Of course these non-duality threads are like strange loops, because that's what reality is haha! "Non-duality" points to reality, and therefore "non-duality" points to a strange loop. Seek the truth in that which you perceive as falsity and watch those dualities collapse. -

The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference. -Ellie Wiesel The opposite of reality isn't non-existence. It's indifference. Think about the infinite intelligence that designed this reality. To create such a reality must be done with the utmost interest, enthusiasm, and passion. Of course, I'm not referring to human qualities but I'm pointing to existential nature. And of course existential nature is beyond words, but since we use words like "love" and "intelligence" to point to its "qualities," I'll use words that I believe best point to the opposite of those "qualities." On a deeper level, the universe neither has nor has not any of these qualities. With that being said, God is love. Examine the care that went into creating reality. Examine the power and energy required to manifest infinite intelligence. Observe how all is love including hate. Recognize how evil is required for good to exist. Realize that every minutia of reality has its purpose and was meticulously designed to be exactly how it is. What's the one trait that this "creator" could not possibly possess and still manifest this reality of love into being? Indifference. For if the creator was indifferent, there would be no creation. Of course, this is impossible since the creator is its creation. Absolute indifference could never exist beyond concept. For if it did, there would be no existence. -

Completely depends on how you define the two words. The bottom line is that no matter how enlightened you get, you'll still have what I call "preferences." "Preference" is simply the lack of total indifference. Total indifference would destroy any meaning in life leading to a bland, zombielike existence. Love cannot exist simultaneously with total indifference. In fact, total indifference is the closest you can get to the opposite of love. (The opposite of love is not hate. The hate of one thing is born from the love of another.) Also indifference is also vastly different from equanimity. All choice is an illusion. This video explains it well: -
For a while now, I've been wanting to make a post about love. I've had experiences of such unfathomably powerful love which have been the foundation of my awakening into the Trajectory of this planet. But as I've tried to explain love to those close to me, I've realized that it's no easier to explain love than it is to explain God. Which makes sense because God is love. This is the best intellectual explanation I've found. I love Leo for making this video. Be sure to watch part 2 as well. Although this video is one of my favorite videos of Leo's, it's sad that most people's ego's are unable to accept it. I've begun to realize that the way to open earth's heart chakra is to exude love. To lead by example. To be. We must follow in the footsteps of Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi. We must show our love rather than simply speak of it. My words fall upon deaf ears, but that which I emanate fails not to be seen. Connor Murphy just posted a video about love. This is not an attempt to promote Connor Murphy, but to sincerely spread love. I tear up every time I watch it. It was obviously designed to speak to a person's soul and not their mind. It was designed to give others an awakening into true, unconditional, infinite love. To give you some context, Connor Murphy created a type of sex yoga known as Premasati Yoga. So far he's only done it with attractive girls on Instagram and YouTube. Today he posted something much different. Here is the video: Connor Murphy and Unique White, a homeless transgender female, began to cry from the intensity of the love. Here is the caption he posted along with his post on Instagram: This is love. Unique White is a homeless transgender female who I met yesterday. I love her unconditionally. Love is fundamental to existence and it pulsates much deeper into the fabric of reality than you think, you just have to become aware of it. “Prema” is Sanskrit for love. “Sati” is Sanskrit for awareness. Premasati Yoga has the power to reveal to you what love really is. Love is God. Love is all. Even hatred is love, for the hatred of one thing is born from the love of another. Society has taught you that love is finite and conditional. While this shallow form of love is also valid, it is in no way the totality of love. True unconditional love cannot be disconnected. You cannot unconditionally love a part of reality without unconditionally loving the whole. Good could not exist without evil. It’s impossible for your mind to contextualize good without the underlying concept of evil in the background. If it weren’t for homelessness, having a home wouldn’t have the same significance to you. If it weren’t for disease, health would lose its meaning. While we shouldn’t endorse evil, we should love it. Light is the only true solvent of darkness. The only way to truly extinguish evil is to love. Let go of your opposition. Quiet your protests. Free yourself of your victim mentality, the only true disease. See that only you cause your own mental suffering. Observe yourself creating the fire you seek to to extinguish. “Clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.” (Mathew 23:26) The way to a better external world is to first better your internal world. “The kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21) Heaven is not a mystical realm. It is here. It is now. Seek and you shall find. God creates no imperfection beyond illusion. Take the medicine of love and heal. We are the cure. This is love.

It's definitely a good thought experiment. I appreciate the insight. There's a subtle differences between attachment and preferences. Preferences can never cease. Preferences keep reality in motion. If preferences completely ceased, nobody would even move because they would be just as content to sit still and let their human body deteriorate. Liberation comes from seeing the arbitrariness in your own preferences. Attachment comes from believing your preferences are "correct" compared to other preferences. Even liberation isn't a "correct" preference, but it sure as hell is a popular preference haha. I cannot control my preferences any more than I can control the weather. There is no separate self that has free will. Everything is simply happening. -

Of course I wouldn't seek to invalidate the killer's perspective. The chance that someone becomes a killer is just part of the human psychology. This is the same human psychology allowed for the evolution of humans and therefore my biological existence. To invalidate any part of reality would be to invalidate myself. Of course it would be ok to gain his new perspective by living his life. That's exactly what I'm doing hahaha. Who else could possibly be living the killer's life but me, consciousness itself? -

@The Buddha I really appreciate the deep insights. We could go on in circles forever though haha. I could say you're attached to not clinging to the non-attachment of reality if I base my opinion purely off your language. People can project attachment onto any perspective until they become directly aware of what non-attachment points to. If we keep going down this route, it turns into an argument for not teaching linguistically at all. But I think we can agree that language has it's purpose, or we wouldn't be posting on this forum haha. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I cannot make people who are deceived aware of their deception directly through language. This post is designed to (indirectly) shatter any paradigm of "enlightenment" or "God" that you have. Only you can shatter your own paradigm by becoming directly aware of what my words point to. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Haha this is just another perspective ? Even the perspective of no perspective is still a perspective. Offering perspectives is all we can do with language. -

Before spiritual work, you looked at a tree and simply saw a tree. During spiritual work, there will be a point when you start to see a tree as something other than a tree such as a hologram or God's fabricated dream tree. At this point, you'll feel more sapient, but you'll notice there's still a significant amount of suffering. Many experience a dark night of the soul at this point because their world is perceived as unreal and lacking meaning. As you progress even further, you'll go back to seeing a tree simply as a tree (this is progress not regress). And this is where the liberation really starts kicking in. -

Only you can answer that question. This post is designed to help you do just that. I don't mean anything by them. To me, those words have about as much meaning as the word "reality." But I do have an idea of most people's limited definitions of those words, which is why I used them. This post is designed to shatter any paradigm of "enlightenment" or "God" that you have. Even though most paradigms on this forum could be considered relatively more conscious than the average person, they are still being grasped onto. This post is designed to help people become aware of this attachment. This is implying that this perspective is my new ground. It's not. This perspective is no more "correct" than any other. It's simply a perspective that I know most people haven't entertained, which is why I offered it. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Me neither. Enlightened vs unenlightened is just another duality haha. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Exactly That's why I also said not to get attached to my perspective. The dualistic mind will just make it another ground. It's impossible to use language to describe what "groundless" points to. Exactly. I'm attempting to explain how most people just create the duality of non-duality vs duality instead of directly realizing what "non-duality" points to. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This perspective is interesting because by claiming that "the ultimate test for enlightenment is how much you think you know," you're claiming to know the ultimate test for enlightenment. To claim to know the ultimate test for enlightenment is to claim to know more than I claim to know. I simply offered a mediocre test at best haha. And because you claim to know more than I claim to know, I'm more enlightened than you based on your own perspective ? Paradoxically, I believe your perspective is valid, but I don't believe I'm more enlightened than you. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Ah, great point. I just edited in "only." To clarify: if you answered only yes to any of the questions, you're still abiding on a ground. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I love that perspective. But to go a little deeper... The word "people" simply points to specific, distinct appearances in consciousness. To say there are no people, you would have to show me an alternative where there are people. Just as to say an apple doesn't exist inside this room, an apple must exist outside this room. Of course, there is none such alternative where there are people in a realer sense than our reality. So there are people, but of course the nature of these "people" can be profoundly recontextualized for someone trapped in the materialist paradigm. -

@zeroISinfinity You should read the post. It's actually about the dissolution of all personal worldviews. You're an intelligent guy. A less arbitrary critique of this post would be warmly welcomed. -
Valwyndir replied to kieranperez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Just as Sam Harris is stuck in the materialist paradigm, one can also be stuck in the non-dual paradigm. Both are two sides of the same coin. Find the Middle Way to know the coin of reality as it is. -
Valwyndir replied to kieranperez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mason Riggle Your perspective is valid, and indeed is more conscious than materialists, but here's food for thought: You are actually creating another duality by saying there's no separate thing called 'Sam Harris.' You are implying that reality is one as opposed to not one. You are residing on the ground of non-duality, which is not what non-duality points to. Non-duality points to the groundless. "One" is still dualistic as is all language. "One" is meant to point to that which is actually neither one nor not one. That which is beyond language. Reality is made of neither one mind nor many separate minds. This idea of "oneness" you're attached to could not exist without duality. Both dependently arise with each other. Duality is oneness. A separate thing called 'Sam Harris' exists just as much as the one mind called God exists. Materialism is just as real as idealism. Materialism is a paradigm that is limiting when it's the only paradigm you subscribe to. Once you exhaust both the materialist paradigm and the idealist paradigm, you'll reach a groundless ground that is both and neither. On this groundless ground, you'll find it impossible to invalidate either paradigm, because both dependently arise to create the one ultimate Paradigm of reality. -

No biological life could exist without this "trick." Biological life depends on the phenomenon of survival. Survival is a mandatory illusion for life. If organisms weren't tricked into believing they were mortal, they wouldn't behave in the evolutionary manner necessary to create the story of biological life. -
Valwyndir replied to Valwyndir's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I really appreciate everyone's loving and insightful words. "Love everything," has been key for me. It's completely possible to see the love in absolutely everything. The deeper you go, the more you realize that everything you love is dependent on everything else in the universe, including your "dislikes." Reality is so infinitely, intricately interconnected its ineffable. Imagine a life where you unconditionally love every minutia of your daily experience, no matter what the circumstance. That is liberation. Love you guys.
