@4cryingoutloud58 I can totally relate. I’m currently 42, lived first 21 years in backwards Eastern- European country , 6 years in US, the rest in Sweden. Total cultural mindfuck with every move, specially the first one. My advice is, use all info, you have gathered to compare, analyze etc to understand what Leo said in post above ☝️ You can definitely use this in personal development. This direct experience is big plus.

Mainly work. Also observing/analyzing: really seeing , what others can do and learning their skills. Languages: Useful, when doing business with other countries or communicating with workers/colleagues. Or when moving to another country. Patience: things take time. Kindness: It pays off.

I would put as much effort into finding out why it’s uncomfortable... Had the same issue when I was younger.

@WokeBloke Imagine a person playing with sock puppets. One in left one in right. Just for fun these puppets got an ability to think that it’s actually them who are running the show... Now imagine that the one holding the puppets has countless hands. So the question is, is the puppet willing to give away the illusion that it’s running the show? I’m still a puppet.
