The problem I see with green is that they tend to lead with emotion rather than rational thought and have a tendency to ignore facts. This, as mentioned already, renders them ineffective. This is of course a generalization but I now live in Portland OR and these types drive me fucking nuts. That said, I’d rather live in a city with a bunch of far lefties rather than a bunch of conservatives. -

This is a good resource: https://www.reddit.com/r/streamentry/ -
I agree. That is why we need affordable healthcare.

Anyways, back to the topic of Project 2025. Usual right-wing tactics here, denial and deflection.

@Danioover9000 I just typed out a lengthy response but the forum gobbled it up and lost it in the ether. I'm too tired to type it all again but the gist was that I agree with some of your points but I think you're lumping all lefties into the same bucket.

"It was another rigged election". Lol
-
That's funny because I was going to accuse you of making generalized statements about the left.

I don't know what you mean. Are you referring to an open border policy? If so, I don't know anyone who's pro open border. But I also don't know anyone who's lives have been affected negatively by immigrants infiltrating the country. I lived a whopping 20 minutes from the Mexican border in California for the last 12 years and nothing has changed there. Crime may have gone up but the news always exaggerates. I agree with the right that an open border policy is a bad one but I am well aware of the fear mongering and propaganda you hear on Fox news. The idea that they're "taking our jobs" is laughable. What are they gonna do? Are CEOs, lawyers, doctors, and software developers livelihoods at stake? I'm not too worried about immigrants washing dishes illegally at some mom and pops taco shop or mowing lawns for $10 an hour under the table. I disagree with you that the left isn't learning. They aren't stupid. Historically, progressive countries open their borders until they learn to set appropriate boundaries. Just look at northern Europe. Also, Biden attempted to address the problems at the border but the right shut him down.

We live in a post-truth world where facts literally don't matter. Greed and hatred reign supreme. Truth, kindness, and equality is my vision for the future but from others point of view these are radical ideas. Delusion is under no one's control which makes it the most formidable opponent. To answer your question I would say to lead with honesty and kindness. Do good, be patient.

Lol what?

I would say that certain leftist idealists overshot the mark. But that's to be expected as mistakes happen and we learn from them. You don't just throw the baby out with the bathwater. You claim that progressives are divorced from reality but believing that we could go back in time and adopt values that we outgrew is not exactly grounded in reality either. Things change. Such is life.

I think the problem couples have is they don't know how to pick a partner and they don't know how to maintain a healthy relationship. Why should unhealthy relationships remain in place?
-
You seem to believe that the left has gone too and the solution is to swing right. Or, maybe you just have right-wing values? I'm more of the belief that the left just needs to back off a bit so they receive less backlash. The problem we have right now is a culture war. At some point someone is going to have to back off and stop feeding it so we can confront real issues.
-
I think it depends on who you ask. Put two different people with opposing values in the same room and have them watch a debate. Each will tell you that the debate had a different outcome. I am concerned by those who watch a debate and care more about "strength" than they do truth.
-
How is this a problem? How is this a problem? How is this a problem?
-
To be better in a debate don't you have to say things that are true?

And freedom... Guns, Jesus, and not having to wear a mask.

@Leo Gura Assuming Trump wins and goes full dictator, when will right-wing low and middle class citizens realize they opened pandora's box? At some point they have to wonder how in the hell they are going to survive due to wealth inequality. Trump will no longer be able to blame the radical left, immigrants, etc.
-
Leo, what do you mean by this? What will happen to the middle class? Social programs, housing costs, cost of education? What about the quality of education so that we can compete with other countries?

Up until recently I was for backing Ukraine, although, it did make me nervous with the threats of nuclear war by Putin. And, to be honest, the threats do still concern me. My initial reason for backing Ukraine is that I wanted to send us a message to bullies in the world. "NO, you cannot just run over a country without being met without opposition." We can't let Russia, China, N. Korea, and Iran do whatever the hell they want. However, this thing with Ukraine is going on and on and there doesn't seem to be and end in sight. So, should we just let Russia have Ukraine? What are the consequences if the west were to back out? It's costing us endless amounts of money. Should we just count our losses and move on? This may sound harsh, but war is fucking nasty.

What sort of changes would likely occur in the US if we lived in a dictatorship? I think the following would happen: The cost of living will skyrocket as will poverty and crime, the middle class will essentially be wiped out, key alliances with foreign governments will be broken so we'd essentially be all on our own.

I think that any dem with even mildly progressive values could beat trump in the election. The dems are risking the election by not offering another candidate on the ticket.

I always take around 250ug and always have pretty fun visuals. 150ug or less and I find it quite boring. 300ug can get kind of hairy at times.

It's definitely a challenge. One's best bet is to find one that specializes in what you need help with and has been doing it a long time. There are a lot of generalists out there that simply can't help a vast number of people
