  1. I’m addicted to masturbating. I don’t even enjoy it that much, if at all. I haven’t felt horny in years. It’s like a psychological addiction rather than me just being horny. Even if you take the fact that it makes my quality of life out of the equation, I spend like 5-9 hours a week masturbating. This amount of time could instead be used to better use, e.g. developing skills, doing consciousness work, etc. Masturbating doesn’t move the needle in any way. If I replace the time I spend masturbating with more productive activities, I would be getting better results, and would have more to show for it.
  2. @StarStruck Not disagreeing with you. Just wanted to ask in what way does one leg develop the other leg? I thought survival pursuits and metaphysical/spiritual pursuits were antithetical to each other? The only way I see survival pursuits benefitting metaphysical/spiritual pursuits is the freedom that it can bring, which is a huge benefit, but it is still a rather indirect benefit.
  3. @Tefikos @Adodd Are there any summaries?
  4. @2ndComing This is me judging the book by its name, but what does this have to do with addiction? When I say addiction I’m referring to addiction to things like masturbating. @Daoguy I’ve read the book twice over the course of 10 months, but I still keep coming back. I don’t do it because I think it’ll make me relax, I do it because I feel very off when I don’t. How do I stop?
  5. I’ve heard this saying thrown around a lot. But I am wondering why the rich get richer? People say that going from 10k-100k is harder than 100k-1 million, and that 100k-1million is easier than going from 1 million-10 million. But why? What is involved in the rich getting richer? What do they do to get richer?
  6. @Leo Gura What is the best way to navigate in the current Dark Age? I think the happiest humans that currently exist are in the top 10% or 1%.
  7. @Yarco Thanks for your post. Did you only hold them? You didn’t flip them?
  8. It’s been a while since I last watched anime. But today I went down a mini-rabbit hole for a couple of hours watching some videos about an anime I watched many years ago. The result? It felt mind-numbing. I felt myself getting sucked into this fictional story. This fictional world, with fictional characters. I found myself putting time and thought into this fictional world and the fictional characters they had. Time and thought that I could’ve been putting into my own life, the real world, with real characters and people I can truly connect with. In the couple of hours my mind was in this fictional world, it felt that my mind was numbing so fast that it wasn’t as interested in improving itself in the real world, because this fictional world has much more going on. All in just a couple of hours. It was different from a movie, where you watch it once and forget about it. Anime’s tend to be much more sophisticated and deeper because they are longer and are series’s. With so much depth, people can invest a large chunk of their lives into these anime’s. You know what the crazy part is? I wasn’t even watching the anime itself, I was watching videos about it. It felt like I wasted time and didn’t get any returns or dividends from it. It felt like it was lowering my consciousness. So what are your thoughts? Should anime be avoided as it is a distraction from consciousness work and personal development?
  9. @Yarco and @Consept If you had to start all over, what would you do to become wealthy and achieve financial freedom?
  10. @Raze I’ve legit had this printed out in my bedroom for almost a year. I read it, but still do it. I don’t understand. The urge just doesn’t go away. It doesn’t seem to click for me :(((((
  11. @Yarco Good post. Thank you. So it sort of compounds on itself?
  12. @Consept That is part of my question - Why does more money make more money? In what ways does more money make more money? @something_else @Consept If you did have 100k in the bank right now, what would you do with it?
  13. @gettoefl What? I don't understand what you are saying?
  14. I am wanting to create a Vision Board, but I can't figure out how. I have some things that I want written down, but now I need some type of software, tool, or app to actually create the Vision Board and bring the images together. What software or tool can I use to create a Vision Board?
  15. How do you still stay motivated if you are always peaceful? If no matter what happens you're always peaceful then how do you motivate yourself to achieve your goals? Isn’t the pain of regret motivating? We do things so that we don’t regret them in the future?
  16. @LSD-Rumi Such as? @thepixelmonk Thanks! Never heard of capacities until now. What other tools do you use for PKM?
  17. @Nilsi Just out of curiosity (I don’t really follow Hamza btw), what makes you think of him like that?
  18. @Realms of Wonder Thanks! Glad you have a plan. Did you have this plan when you dropped out of college? Or did you drop and just tried to figure it out on the way? And what were you studying in college if you don't mind me asking? @Verg0 How do you find inspiring people?
  19. @Tyler Robinson If you try to go 1 week without doing an activity, and cravings for that activity occur, the you are addicted to that activity. So I am addicted to masturbating. And are you really being serious with 7 hours a week “not being bad at all”? THAT’S A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME. Imagine you put that time into meditating. That’s meditating an hour a day. You’d have so much to show for it. I don’t even enjoy it that much. It’s like my body just wants to do it because if it doesn’t it feels like it’s missing something. It doesn’t feel like sexual energy to me. It feels like a psychological craving. I’m not really horny when I do. I think I do it out of boredom.
  20. @Yarco The thing is I do notice how badly it affects me. Yet I still do it. I can go 2-3 days without masturbating, and I get about 10%-15% gains in quality of life. But around the 4th or 5th day I tend to relapse. I’ve gone weeks without masturbating before but the last time I did that was months ago. I’ve tried this so much. I’ve tried going for walks and going to the gym and doing something else whenever the urge arises, but I just end up doing it after the activity. It doesn’t seem to make the craving go away. What would you say the best way to quantify how much time I am spending on masturbating is? Do I just set a timer or something? Okay in this aspect I might not be too far gone. I’ve luckily never related to getting interested in extreme porn from the desensitisation. Also, I tend to do it to images more than videos. But sometimes what happens is I will start with images and then go to videos. Okay. I think I should be able to do 7 full days again. It’s been months since I last went 7 days but I think I can. Thanks for your post @Yarco
  21. @Realms of Wonder May I asked why you dropped out of college and what your plans to make a living are now?
  22. Excerpt from the video "Low Quality vs High Quality Consciousness" (timestamp, 5:58-6:15) @Leo Gura Do you still think that health problems boil down to inaccurate perceptions of reality? I've been battling health problems and have made little to no progress in healing myself. Is this due to an inaccurate perception of reality? Perhaps it would be great if it is, because then I would have something to improve on. I am lost on what else to do to cure my health problems.
